One of my best memory in my life is linked with this hospital. My daughter was born in this hospital and I am very happy for this. The moment me and my wife entered for treatment during mid night hours to discharge, we really got a great support from doctors, nurses, staff & entire team. I am really grateful for entire team on the exceptional care taken.

On September 6th, I was at Rancho Bernardo ER. Overall, the service was good. Dr. Ryan Nelkin and his staff provided prompt and professional service. Suggestions: ER opened at 8am. There was a line already and caused confusion on who’s first in line. I suggest a numbering system or? It’s ridiculous that patient has to fill-out a form on a clipboard !!!! Name Address And social security number … crazy September 9th I was admitted again at Scripps LaJolla around 8pm 1. Front counter staff are not humans. No compassion, not an ounce of caring. I was so sick and laid down on the floor. My wife inform the lady at front, the answer was “put me back on a seat” 2. First Dr. I met was professional. Nurses were robotic in nature. After 3 hours, they transferred me to the “observation lounge” 3. The nurses need patient sensitivity training. They provided minimum care and again, with NO compassion. Contact me for more details and suggestions. 4. The first PA who attended to me, urgently needs training on patients bed manner and overall communication skills. The guy showed ZERO concern, sarcastic in his answers, and absolutely not an ounce of compassion. He was sitting at front of my room - ER 43. Not a single time that he would stop by during his shift to check on me or encourage me. Playing with his phone and seems distracted. I overheard the same tone and level of treatment with other patients. Frankly, he intimidates patients. When he left around 5pm, he did not even has the courtesy to say good by. The good news is that after he left, another wonderful PA took over, forgot her name, young, blond, and has an Angel face. She gave me a lot of much needed emotional comfort.

Front desk at the ER the lady where the "red star is" very disrespectful. The RN Kristy I had her today room 29 at the ER nicest person ever, she was great, attentive, respectful, explained every step, overall I felt cared off even though it was just a stomach pain. Thank you Kristy. 😊
