The hospital is good, but in my opinion it can improve more. There are doctors and others not so nice and thoughtful. The reception is good, some people (receptionists) are polite, friendly ... The same in relation to the security guards. There should be more integration, communication among the coworkers. As I told you it could be better, even in its standard procedure, being more effective,

Excellent service and support regarding many domains. We had a undergo and the whole staff was extremely supportive (from the first approach, passing by intensive care and ending on maternity domain). Its definitely one of the best hospitals in Sao Paulo.

Never again! I took my girlfriend to this hospital because she was having strong abdominal pains on 07/02/21. The two doctors were recent graduates v. inexperienced. One of them actually told me that Coca-Cola was a good drink for hidration!!! Today we spent most of our day worrying that we may have contracted Covid seen as one in every 5 staff members were either not wearing a mask or wearing them inappropriately. We had complained to the night manager, who didn't care less! To pay for the treatment they tell you to go to talk to a manager in his glass office. This guy not only charged us 5000 Reais which is an obscene amount, but had zero empathy or people skills. And to think that the doctor actually wanted her to stay overnight, probably to be able to bill me ten times as much!!! This hospital has some serious issues.

Everything was excellent, from the operating team (special thanks to the amazing doctor Alexandre Santa Cruz, the best orthopedic surgeon there is!!!) until the nursing staff (impeccable and extremely professional, available and kind), the cleaning service (very effective) to the food!!!! (I never ate so well in a hospital!!!). The medical and customer care are so good that you enjoy being there and feel extremely safe and protected until you are ready to return home! Congratulations to all parties!!! I fully recommend this hospital!

Great service, good atmosphere, absolutely friendly staff, excellent meals, first class medical assistance. Parking is not for free, but very well organized. For patients and visits it's more convenient going by cab. All good there!

Took us 3 hours to get treated with a basic appointment (ear infection) and sort out the insurance stuff, very slow

Hospital is not well equipped to attend cold symptoms at the emergency. You will have to wait for the arrival of an specialist at 10 AM so that he can look inside your ear canal with an otoscope. Even my throat was looked with a cellphone light. A disappointment. See images of equipments that should be part of the emergency below at the national manual of emergency.

Amazing professionals and staff. One of the best emergencies in Rio.

I used the HSVP emergency for years and received excellent service from the front desk. However, nowadays I DO NOT recommend this hospital to anyone who needs to be treated urgently, which is an emergency. Unfortunately, the employees are already used to poor management: triage without proper classification of the severity of each patient, disorganization of the service queue, priorities are always passed on regardless of which problem and give the same standard response of lack of organization. Meanwhile, employees and doctors are talking and some are still using social networks. Complete disregard for patients. My son with an open foot stayed for 5 hours to be seen with a fever above 40 degrees measured in the triage and he was not considered a priority. When attended to, they sent him home and said that the professional who would perform the ultrasound exams had already left and antibiotics would solve the problem. In another hospital, a bacterium was detected and he had to perform scraping and puncture and was hospitalized for observation for 2 days. Unfortunate. Congratulations to the new administration that is destroying a reference hospital with just one bad party. Beauty and reform does not mean good service.

I found the sorting a little confusing, but it all worked out. Attentive and helpful staff. Everything is very clean and has a wonderful view. I loved the parking service.

The truth is that I am very satisfied with the attention of the doctors and also with the social work staff, they are very good and conscientious But the guards are the worst thing this beautiful hospital can have They spend their time sleeping on night shifts and ignore you when you need guidance. They treat you the worst and feel that they are from the SSC but the truth is that the hospital is not to blame for having a HORRIBLE security company Aceves the guards are too smart. they give you a bad deal That's why I give them 2 stars Because those stars deserve it, the people who really take their work seriously and thank you very much for the attention that the General Hospital of Mexico gives us There I leave the photos of the guards so that there is evidence and they do not think that it is a lie

BEWARE IF YOU ARE A TOURIST! My father was hospitalized on a family trip to Cancun. He was transported to this hospital and needed emergency surgery This hospital FAILED him. They wouldn’t even give him so much as saline or an antibiotic without payment in FULL. WE WERE CHARGED $4,000 FOR. He went 8 HOURS sitting on an emergency room bed when he should have been in surgery. THEY DEMANDED 50,000 DOLLARS PAID IN FULL BEFORE STARTING ANY CARE AND THAT WAS JUST FOR THE SURGERY. WE OFFERED TO PAY 25,000 SO THEY COULD START AND THEY REFUSED. WE OFFERED TO PAY THE REST THE NEXT DAY AND THEY REFUSED. WE TRANSFERRED MY FATHER TO THE OTHER HOSPITAL BECAUSE WE THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO DIE. WE FELT USELESS WHILE THEY HAD ALL THE POWER TO DO SOMETHING THEY CHOSE TO DO NOTHING!!!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND NOTHING MORE. ITS A MIRACLE MY FATHER SURVIVED AND ONLY BY THE HELP OF GOD WAS MY FATHER ABLE TO COME BACK HOME WITH US. It feels very comfortable being there. Olivia is the best. She arranges everything for you when you are from outside the country of Mexico. You show up and all is prepared. Her personality is very welcoming and friendly. I love not having to worry about the stress of paper work especially since i don't know Spanish well. All her subordinates speak English as well and are all very nice. Galenia might be costly however the peace of mind you get not being stresses out with paperwork helps a lot. I don't even need to Contact my insurance. They do everything for you. Best service. The receptionist at imaging are a bit slow and don't know any English. But the staff attending to you in the radiation area are super friendly and helpful. I see many people complain about the price. This is a private hospital and will be costly. It is the same in my own country. Private hospitals cost a lot but if you have insurance and you are not from Mexico, then I highly recommend using their tourism concierge. They are a great help and speak English. They are all very nice and helpful. I have had the pleasure of meeting and being assisted by Olivia (who is the best), Ellen, Ricardo and another guy i cant remember his name. Not sure if it is Daniel or something with a D. That was over 2 years ago i met him. They arranged everything with my insurance prior to going there. I just showed up and Olivia walked me through everything. I was in and out as quick as possible. No long waiting. Use the concierge service they have. It really helps you from stressing about paperwork and payments. My journey at Galenia started September 2021 and I continue into 2023......

Be careful all the tourists MOST FROM USA, in this hospital they don't try to help, they're just looking to take all your money freaking you out, using your feelings to scare you and take as much money as they can!! Please don't go there, go to the General Hospital they really help for nothing ($$). If you want to WASTE your money go to the Galenias.

I've been go Almater Hospital twice now to have surgeries with Dr. Luque. I can't begin to express my gratitude for what wonderful experiences I've had. On both occasions, the staff both with Dr. Luque's clinic team, the surgical team, and the hospital staff have gone above and beyond to take exceptional care of me. They are patient with my insecurities and anxiety about the processes, they deliver excellent care, and are kind and considerate throughout. I'm a Nurse Practitioner by trade in the US and have had many surgeries in the US in the past. I can genuinely say the care I received at Almater hospital and by these medical professionals far exceeds any treatment I've ever received in the US. This will be my choice hospital for care with all procedures I'm able to utilize them for and highly recommend them to others.

Very bad hospital to get treated. I went for a procedure on my low back (cyst) and they charged me over 9,000 pesos for just medicine, and wanted to charge me 50,000 for the procedure. Of course they only told me the price after I had asked how much it was going to be. Also they charged me 1000 pesos extra for using a different doctor that supposedly is filling in for another. They wanted to keep me over night for no reason, I would have just been laying in bed (I assume to make more money of me). Communication between the workers is bad. Not recommend at all. Prices are way overpriced and the service is bad. Save your time and money and go to a different hospital

Great hospital with caring and attentive staff. Absolutely no waiting for call lights to be answered as happens in the US, and the nurses and doctors went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable at all times. I am So much more impressed with Hospital Almater than I have ever been with any hospital in the US.

Absolutely horrible service. My father broke his arm and we had to wait like 10-15 minutes just checking in. And then they gave him a terrible cast and diagnosis. We had to come back to the US and go to our local Kaiser Permanente to get actual care for my dad. Please avoid this place, especially if you are visiting from the US. Por favor, nunca buscas ayuda aquí, especialmente si vienes extranjero de los Estados Unidos.

We have used the services of Valmar Hospital, including surgery and emergency care. Could not ask for better service and care. Having so many specialists at one location is so helpful. Received excellent care from Doctors , nurses and staff.

Horrible service. Showed up here with a case of Food Poisoning and was turned away because my symptoms were "similar" to Covid-19. The front desk person told me to wait outside, didn't even ask me simple questions such as if I had a cough or shortness of breath and after "speaking with her supervisor" told me I had to go to the General Hospital because Velmar was "full". Such a lie! If it was full, why wasn't I turned away when I first showed up? I went to Clinica San Fernando after and was seen by a great doctor there. My cardiologist and urologist have their offices at Velmar and I will let them know I won't be able to attend our appointments anymore at this hospital, because they deny service to people in need.

Horrible not only the hospital but the people who live around it, they can't just tell you "I don't know where it is or that they don't know where they live"🙄. The old women raise your hand. In the case of the hospital, the doorman is super rude, he lacks too much empathy and respect for anyone. Today 01/20/2023 in the morning he treated my mother very badly because she was going to have some tests. My mother asked him for information to go to -1 and he replied: "OH I DON'T KNOW, ASK THAT THERE (raising his left hand as a fan and with an aggressive tone). They refused to pass the complaints book so the bad attention will go further.

Seven day stay at the hospital after a major surgery and I was taken care of with kind, compassionate and professional nurses the entire time. I’ve been in 5 different hospitals over two decades and RUMC is by far my best experience. I’m in recovery and still visit my surgery team at Rush and they always make me feel heard and valued as a patient. I’m very grateful to have my health care needs provided by the doctors, nurses and staff at Rush.

This hospital has gone downhill the past few years. That they also refuse to respect different faiths is sad. They almost never have a Catholic priest on staff if you need a chaplain even though Catholics are likely the majority of the population in the USA. I do not want to go into deep details about my experience at this hospital and that of my family, but the hospital is not what it was 3 years ago. Nurses are a hit or miss. I’ve had some of the best nurses and some of the absolute worst. Their ER takes forever unless you are very very ill. These people care about money first and foremost. They will also do everything to protect themselves from lawsuits. The patient is their last concern.

I had the unfortunate need to visit the ER yesterday. The attention and care I received at Rush from the attendants working the desk to the doctors and techs that came to my aid, I was so impressed. Perhaps it was due to my reported symptoms that put everyone in motion so swiftly for me. Just want to say that I so appreciate everyone’s attention to what I was experiencing and am grateful for you all. Thank you!!

My sister had procedure done their and I had to pick her up, the doctor called and said be their in two hours after battling the boston traffic i arrived 15 minutes early and was told to wait at the entrance for 30 minutes and they will call me to come up but after a hour i had the front desk call upstairs and they told her it would be another hour. So i decide to go to the calf for something to eat and waited in line to watch if your a employee of mass general you get to skip the line and order and talk to the people working there so i just said they aren't going to get my money and left bad enough i have to pay more and more for parking.

I worked here for about five years and my experience here shaped the rest of my life. I worked primarily in the emergency department and it was the nurses I worked with who inspired me to continue my education. After graduating nursing school I accepted a position closer to home though maybe one day I will find my way back here. Until then, I can assure you will be in great hands.

I believe this probably was once an amazing hospital. However, when I went for treatment of a chronic condition it was borderline negligent. Previously I was followed at Children’s Hospital and Boston and it was amazing I had exceptional care. At Mass General I waited in a chair in a hallway for 8 hours for treatment of a GI bleed. I was not allowed water yet did not have IV fluids during those entire 8 hours. Then I finally got an ER room. The GI doctors told me I would have a procedure to stop the bleeding first thing in the morning. It is now 12:00 and apparently I am not even scheduled for anything. Oh and my “room” is the waiting room. I feel worse then when I entered the hospital. If possible please please go elsewhere. It is a nightmare here.

Good medical attention and service, comfortable parking.

“Urgencia” doesn’t move with much urgency. I’m currently in the waiting room in the respiratory area of the emergency department. My mother in law arrived in bad condition and I saw no sign of triage or prioritization based on symptoms , first come first served. NONE of the alcohol hand dispensers have alcohol, staff aren’t using alcohol gel. Not just in the emergency area but also in the other buildings I passed through. Very surprised by the experience considering the cost and reputation of the hospital. Go to Clinica San Carlos de Apoquindo UC or Clínica Alemán.

At these high prices I would recommend travelling to another country with better medical care and attention. I went with stomach ache. Underwent numerous tests and diagnostics. All staff very friendly and knowledgeable. After spending 13 hours in the hospital without any food or drink I asked to see the doctor to sign my exit papers. He recommended to stay the night and offered some food but I did not trust the 8th promise to receive some food. I will end up paying roughly 7000 USD for two abdominal scans and a receipt for aspirin. I left with equal stomach ache, high blood pressure and terrible headache due to the starvation.

Phenomenal hospital. I was blown away at how clean it was and how nice and caring everyone and the nurses are. My 16 year old sister is here to have heart surgery and couldn’t name one complaint I had through the entire experience. Love love love this hospital.

Great hospital with caring staff. I was blessed to have Dr. Laura Goldstein. I have no words to describe her care , knowledge & kindness. She is a gem. She pleasantly answered my hundreds of questions regarding my son’s sickness. She is very polite& caring. I wish everyone gets doctor like her. I wish her all the good luck & happiness in life.

My daughter has had a plethora disturbing and debilitating symptoms for over a year. Even though she had just turned 17, I assumed CHOP was the best place for her care because they specialize in treating conditions other facilities consider a patient too young to have, and I worried something would be ruled out just based on her young age. While most of my daughters doctors have been great, everyone else who doesn't directly come in contact with her (appointment schedulers, for example) have not been. They may not be doctors, but they play a critical role in the life saving treatment, or lack there of, of CHILDREN. It's bad enough that we have to wait as long as we do for appointments, but I was told my daughter's appointment in less than a weeks time must be cancelled and rescheduled for a few weeks later (despite symptoms becoming unbearable) just because the doctor I'd scheduled it with wasn't her "regular" cardiologist. We WANT to see a different cardiologist, specifically the one we'd scheduled for, or honestly ANY other cardiologist who is not her original cardiologist! It's infuriating, honestly. This is my child's LIFE. To top it off, I'd already taken the original day off of work and now I can't get it back so I lose money, I have to miss yet more time for the next appointment and our insurance deductible resets before the next appointments will take place...I'm still trying to pay her medical bills from last year's deductible! I might not be as upset about everything other than her needing to be seen quickly when it's impossible, if the whole scenario isn't an exact repeat of what happened just two days ago with a different CHOP specialist. Again, this isn't the doctors, most of them have been amazing. I truly believe the doctors fully understand how vital their care is to the very lives of their patients. It's others who don't provide medical care yet work at CHOP who are apparently just there for a paycheck. For some, it's just a business they work for. I'm just so incredibly fed up with the business side of CHOP. I'm sure most of the doctors prioritize the health of their patients above everything else...it'd be great if everyone else who isn't directly related to a patients care did the same.

Dr's are awesome. Surgery went well. Pharmacy was horrible. Waited an hour being told hey its almost ready... just to watch them after over an hour of waiting say, by the way we don't have the medication. Generally pharmacy will hyper focus on non English first, and if they feel you are patient put you off. They gave away the last medication we needed in front of us.... which was really frustrating. I do not trust the pharmacy and have zero faith in their ability to take care of customers. It's hard with a recovering infant not having the medications that the Dr's say we need... thank you pharmacy for your mismanaged debacle of a zoo.

All the nurses and care partners and doctors were amazing. My baby felt so comfortable as well as myself and my husband who slept great on the pull out couch. We were welcomed quickly. Nurses in and out but do not bug when you’re asleep. Food options for my son were great and they got us out of there fast. Thank you CHLA

For being a childrens hospital its a joke , everytime i come here with my son in severe pain they make us wait over 4hrs to get seen while ppl that arrived after us get seen before us!! Not right this place is a joke for hospitality

I wish there was an option without stars! The emergency service is wicked! This clinic covers more than it can handle. Here what matters is the client (MONEY), not the patients. The staff have gotten used to these unworthy conditions and even if they wanted to, they really don't have a way to care for people with empathy.

It's the worst clinic, they start to accept a few people who they can't care for because their facilities aren't that big to care for them. They are greedy nothing more. The service is terrible, I've been waiting for an exam for 19 hours and they won't let me eat. They don't care that I suffer from gastritis. You ask someone about your process and no one knows how to give you answers. They just gossip. If they will work like they gossip, even suddenly they would half serve well.

I hae been there a few times, because my insurance has them as a provider. Once I managed to secure an appointment, all works; however setting up an appointment can be a formidable task, as they dont answer the phone and if they do they pass the buck to sumeone else, or worse they ask you to call a bunch of wrong numbers. The whatsup useless. Today I spent 4 hours trying to get an apointment without any luck. I will soon go in person with a spy camera and will publish my experience on all available social media. What a shame, good doctors and deplorable IT and customer service. Management is unreachable for some strange reason (NOT !!!)

The international clients WhatsApp line is the worst I have experienced within the business in Medellin. I was trying to get an appointment for an MRI and responses were just like automatic system that left you for hours with no responses. If you call nobody answers. When finally someone responds your multiple messages, leaves again with no answers. I never expected such a poor service from such a reputable institution. I started around 10:00 AM and at 2:48 PM still wasn't able to get any availability for the appointment. I told them never mind and they respond to that message at 5:35 PM! I understand if the people is to busy, but so that means they need to hire more people for the job.

I paid for an Antigen COVID test and haven't received the results from the examination even as they promised to send them within 3 hours to my email address and provide access on there website! On requests I couldn't reach anyone. Thats fraud and should be a 0 Star Rating!

One of the best hospitals in Colombia

Every time we go we are always treated very well! Some places are under renovation. I leave a photo of a corner of the hospital, the truth is beautiful that you also have a place for the kittens and my girl enjoys that every time we pass...

They claim they have a guardia or emergency but in reality they dont. You won't find a doc but you'll find loads of support staff. Not helpful when they've got support staff but no docs or nurses to actually help. It's claimed to be one of the best hospitals for kids but good luck trying to see a doc. My 5 year old had a fever for 3 days and convulsions so we decided to go to this hospital. Arrived and waited an hour for no one so I went banging on the guardia door, spoke to informes, admisión, orientation, etc but no help. I had to burst into their lunch room where at least 5 nurses were sitting down chatting just to get help. Screaming for help is the one way to go. You need to make a stink, bursting into rooms to get help. That's not how a hospital should run. Why must you have 5 people in informes, one in admison, one in orientation and ZERO doctorss???!!!! They've got no problem sending security at me but a doctor they don't have.

I went to the guard with my son, the initial attention was good, but they don't inform you that in addition to the registration you make, you have to ask the doctors for a number. If one does not come to ask how the attention dynamics is, they would never be attended to. He treats her very well. I review the baby completely, I listen to what he and I were saying to him, his attention left me alone. And even though there were a lot of people, they were served quickly.

I arrived at the emergency and they took advantage of my situation to make a profit. I was not informed or consulted about the services or the details of the treatment. I received several medicines in a vein without knowing until today what they were and only after that, when I was already sedated, several employees came and tried to coerce me and force me to make a transfer of 35 thousand reais, without giving more details and without answering my doubts about this random value. It was an extreme lack of professionalism, which I had not experienced at any other hospital before. There are other excellent private hospitals in Brasilia. In this one I wouldn't go back at all.

I will not return to this hospital anymore. They pass information that they don't comply with, they don't deliver exams on time, and they leave you in the lurch with the result. I had an MRI exam, I was bedridden 3 days later and even though I tried to contact the hospital, they had no commitment to provide the results. Terrible!!

Try making an appointment over the phone! Impossible! No matter the time, the attendants are always busy. You hang on to the call, as if you were in line at a public hospital. Then, call the ombudsman, who gives you two options: the hospital will contact you to schedule the appointment (the famous queue jumper) or wait for the management response in 4 days. Summary: if it is not an emergency, look for another hospital.
