This is a research hospital that serves thousands of women every year. I have been seen by a doctor within two days from my mammography and with what seems to be a fixed delay of three weeks between cosnultation-operation-reconsultation I am now on my way for radiotherapy. It is unbelievable that you get this level of expertise for free, in the states you would have to pay a fortune. The doctors are understandably buzy and will not spend too much time with you, however, there is psycologists, nurses, sophrology classes and all sorts of stuff that you have access to. It is a world class centre and we are all very lucky to have access to it in times of need.

My partner is in the hospital, he is French. I have come from Scotland to be with him. Is there any reasonable priced accommodation near the hospital. Thank you

I am currently undergoing chemotherapy as an inpatient at this hospital in the Ellis ward. I can only speak from my experience and I would say I am extremely happy with the care I am receiving. All staff from the reception desk to the oncologists are friendly and attentive. I believe I am in very good hands and feel all of my needs and fears are cared for. The staff all love what they do and nothing ever seems to too much trouble for them. I would recommend this hospital highly to anyone who unfortunately gets struck by this ba%tard disease. Excellent theatre staff and informed follow up by doctors. Wilson Ward is however very noisy. Visitors are allowed to talk loudly and lights on until 11pm so difficult to sleep. Nursing staff (bar 1) is excellent. Food is good. Cleanliness is also very good. Well run. Helpful volunteers.

Having had very long and complex medical history I have come to thoroughly dislike doctors and hospitals, so it takes something quite extraordinary to garner 5* from me. The Marsden is definitely that extraordinary place with equally amazing care and fantastic team work throughout. For me care was co-ordinated and faultless. Also the food wasn't bad, which is a small miracle in itself!

My comment only concerns the space which serves as a cafeteria.... a long wait... in the cold!! Talk to you about it, we send you for a walk, I hear the security agent making fun of my request, and tells his colleague that he is under the air conditioning, ... in short, frozen radiator, when wait, and we eat in the cold, I can tell you that it is most unpleasant

SCANDALOUS!!! Where does our money go??? In an obscene parking rate, only one cash register at the end, puddles everywhere, a swimming pool (1 meter wide, 2 meters long and 10 centimeters deep) to get out and reach the ICL, and a Pyramid staircase Mayan slippery, because the totally necessary elevator for people with reduced mobility is BROKEN.

Operated by Dr. HEJL at the end of July, I have excellent memories of my brief visit to the 5th floor just after my operation. The nursing staff (and non-nursing staff) were adorable... I take my hat off to them for their work which is not easy every day. A little nod to this duo of caregivers with whom one morning we imitated the meows of the 😸 in front of the anesthetist! (I occupied room 502 until August 3) Really thank you for your good care! The meals were of high quality and appetizing (which is rather rare in hospitals). I can say that in my case the support was perfect.

As the year is long, I don't go to the doctors. Therefore, I do not know what the procedures and approach of doctors are today. Anyway. Today's experience with the "willingness" to give advice over the phone really shocked me. "Thank you" goes to the nurse and the doctor on accident. Incredible arrogance. Raising your voice, And I was nice. According to them, the three-day head impact associated with headaches is probably not essential to solve, only 3 minutes. 4 months ago surgery in this hospital for surgery, nightmare and trauma you don't want to experience. Nurses behaving arrogantly, reluctantly, unempathetic, the very bottom of humanity. When you have problems after surgery, they make a person into a psycho patient, that they make it up. Doctors are reluctant but happy to get noticed for nothing. After months of suffering, I went to a clinic in the Czech Republic, where they immediately gave me an accurate diagnosis and did not claim that my pain was in my head. Rather, they thought that I came from some developing country. Our healthcare system is a complete mess both professionally and humanly. This review is about the surgical department. I want to thank the surgical department for the human approach to patients. It helps a lot when they see how they treat people well. They give answers to all questions, calmly, without any aggression. I was there at the end of April, for a pilonidal cyst operation. MUDr operated on me. Peter Varga. I am satisfied with that doctor. As well as the overall department is good. As for patient rooms, it's fine. Other times, it may be that many of you will already have an occupied drawer, but that's not such a big deal. Today's experience On September 10, 2023, we brought my uncle to the Department of Vascular Surgery. 11.9. they are going to operate on him in the morning. The experience happened when the nurses were admitting him to the room, one of them said come, you can go, because it was visiting hours and there were two of us with him, we wanted to unpack him in the room, but when I was walking through the corridor, there was a shout, where are we supposed to go? That we are supposed to go to Kaufland..., I don't understand, one says she can and the other is a rude, disgusting woman, I can't call her a nurse. How to treat relatives of patients? How serious? I'm a psychologist and I can't afford to treat people like this, to anyone. This has nothing to look for in a hospital, you need to communicate tactfully and work with humility in hospitals. It's sad, you want to help your relatives, right? I just wanted to carry my bag and you are blamed for it in the hospital, where that understanding should not be missing.

I felt really well looked after in the maternity ward, almost everyone was very friendly. The midwives and pediatricians were also very nice and competent. I had to have 2 children there with cesarean section, both were very well looked after, Dr. Höllmüller and the surgical team were great, unfortunately the only major drawback was that the anesthesia didn't work and I was in a lot of pain during the cesarean section. The Dr. worked very quickly, was very sensitive and talked to me a lot during the operation. Thank you for the loving care. Just please look around for other anesthesiologists...

My hospital of choice for the birth of our greatest treasure! We felt like we were in the best and safest place we could possibly be (even with an emergency c-section). The subsequent support was also excellent, everyone took time for us and supported us. The food is also first class! What particularly fascinated me was how much everyone there loves their job and thrives in it. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Wow, amazingly friendly and very helpful staff at all 3 reception desks (A&E, Urgent Treatment and the general receptiondesk in-between the two), they all know their job/role and were incredibly efficient. Once we found where we were going there was little time to wait as the attentive staff team followed procedures and helped my friend. If I ever need a good hospital in the future I hope I'm close to this one. Thank you to all the staff at all levels. Keep up the great work. 👍 😊

Here today, wednesday 29th November 2023, in St Mary's for day surgery and being looked after wonderfully....absolutely nothing is too much trouble! Staff are so friendly...thankyou Debs and everyone involved for looking after me...you are all a huge credit to the NHS and have made me feel so very relaxed and at ease. For the first time in a long time. I felt like I was listening to the happiest news of something not so good. But after going to AE 4 weekends in a row. Seen the specialist and they are appalled that treated this way and now caused long term irreversible problems.. so if it wasn't for someone listening to me st Mary's would have had 1 star.

If I could give zero star I would. This is for the emergency service. I woke up this morning with pain in my right hip joint that gradually got worse to the point where I could not sit, bend over, or walk. I could only use the toilet standing up, and could not make any movement from that hip joint and leg at all. My whole leg would feel numb when attempting to walk. Around 10 pm the pain got so bad, I almost called the ambulance. I have been a nurse for 9 years in the hospital setting, I know something is very wrong. I took some pain medications and laid down for 4 hours to have the pain decrease enough to go to the hospital. Thankfully this hospital is across the street for me, so I thought I would use the little strength I had to walk over and be taken care of. The lady at the desk looked at me, checked me in, then called me back up to tell me the doctor will not see me because it is not an emergency. And gave me a list of doctors offices that I could go to. I was not given the decency to be seen or assessed by a doctor, or even a nurse. My hip literally feels like I have dislocated it. What is the sense of going to a doctor’s office when they don’t have xray or any imaging machines? This hospital/ and it’s staff should be ashamed of itself. I would not recommend anyone going here. You will not be taken seriously. I work at Erasmus MC, it is further away, but I will try my luck there in the morning. PS: I just moved to Netherlands a week and a half ago, and started work a week ago. My insurance has not yet been activated but I explained that I could pay out of pocket and had no issues doing so. I would like not to think this could have been a reason I was turned away. But my interaction with the receptionist and the questions she placed emphasis on has left me wondering.

My mother became ill while we were traveling in Italy. Our tour guide sent us to Salvatore Mundi where my mother received excellent care. Y the staff, nurses and doctor. They took care of her right away and the costs of tests, medicine and a private room on a virtually private floor cost a mere $16! Wish we had that type of care and cost here in the States.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DO NOT COME HERE. I had a terrible experience at SMIH. I thought that I would be in good care as the embassy and my university recommend them as the best place to go while abroad in Rome. I had little to no translators the entire time and was very confused as to what I was being given and uncomfortable about it in all honesty. I have NO privacy at all in my room as nurses would come barging in whenever they needed to without a knock which was also very uncomfortable to me. They did not accommodate to me and I had to practically beg for water and help as my fever started to rise. They were also not helpful when I called translators to help me during the process. The nurses were very vague and rude. I used the best Italian I could and would use google translate to help me with the rest and it still unfortunately not good enough. I was fortunate enough to find a Spanish speaking nurse and it was the first time I had some form of comfort. The main doctor seeing me only saw me once and it was an u pleasant visit as it was just to scold me for wanting to leave. Then when I finally was able to be discharged the nurses and staff were rude, did not give me my diagnosis, my results, follow up or discharge papers. They literally told me “no go home”. Already being frustrated with the treatment I received, alone and confused being in a completely different country trying to revive help I did as they said and just left. Which then later caused me a lot of issues when trying to revive help else where.

I had an injury in my head. I went there and you have to know French. People that helped me did not speak nor English neither Spanish. But the attention was good

What a fantastic ER and 1st floor ICU staff. We cannot thank them enough for the care they provided to their patients and address the patients' family's concern. My 80 years old dad that was brought to the ER from another facility in a critical condition and Dr. Mole from the ER provided great care and took the time to call us to give updates. When my dad was shift to the ICU under Dr. Tiu's care she was very easy to talk to. She called us daily to report on my dad's health status. We are so grateful to the doctors, nurses for the amazing care they provide their patients especially given the pandemic. They listen to the families concerns, suggestions when we advocate for our dear ones. They work as a team with the family to help the patient. Thank you for your hard work, dedication and care.

On March 27, my mother was operated on in this center (brain tumor) by doctor Taras Stepanovych Gavryliv. To say that I thank him is not enough. Because he is a doctor from whom everyone should take an example. Responsible, tactful and, in general, professionally treats his patients and people in general. It has been more than half a year since the operation. My mother feels great. She speaks, she is not paralyzed as they told me in our hospital, as they told me in Kyiv. I will also tell you that I don't have a week without people contacting me to get some information, feedback. Because I understand the things that I myself had to go through. But in the center of Neurosurgery, everything is so well thought out, everything is so professionally selected that you fully surrender yourself to the doctor and are no longer afraid. I read a bad review about resuscitation. I do not know of such a case, I have not seen with my own eyes sloppy treatment of people on the part of the staff, and I myself, believe me, do not have a very good character!!! The doctors in the intensive care unit looked after the patients normally and professionally. I was even amazed, and I saw and heard the feedback of other people, patients. I was once given such advice that I would listen to my doctor with my heart. Thank you for teaching me how to sit down and try to stand up. Regarding rehabilitation, we can only wish for the best. While the head of rehabilitation is Kateryna Oleksandrivna Zinov'eva - I do not recommend it.

I had a consultation with Dr.Siklós Pál. Until now I don't understand why I was treated badly! It breaks my heart that a doctor treat you like that when you are going through hard time, no empathy! I was not treated like human.

I was on vacation in Paris and was taken here with excruciating & sudden stomach pain. I had to have an emergency surgery to remove part of my large intestine due to a twist - or a “volvulous”. I was kept in the emergency waiting room overnight- part of the night in an empty hallway- with pain so severe that I almost fainted several times. I was certain I was going to die because I didn’t know if anyone would notice if I lost consciousness. The nurses and doctors I spoke with told me “we will come back with pain medication” but hours went by without seeing anyone again. Almost no one spoke English. I was terrified and traumatized. I would give this hospital 0 stars, HOWEVER. Once I got into surgery, the doctors were kind to me. I was crying quite a bit and they calmed me down and played music for me. The surgery went well, and I obviously survived without complications. I feel so grateful they caught the twist and operated on me within 16 hours of me being there. They did save my life. I don’t know who is reading this and if you are considering going here, but try to go to the American hospital if at all possible. I hope you get the care you need and deserve. Do not expect nurses there to care for you like nurses do in America.

Decent if you need urgent help. Extremely unhelpful staff in the registration desk, was told “you’re in france, speak french” after I asked them if they spoke English. The hospital felt very dirty and the waiting room was a chaos. Other than a long waiting time for non-priority cases, the care was acceptable.

I was just severely hurt by the staff member pictured here at emergency. I came in anxious and stressed about my condition. They were only meant to be checking my temperature in my ear but he did so forcibly it hurt me so bad, it gave me a panic attack. Then when I said something I was screamed at in French. I will be contacting a lawyer.

First call to your secretariat to make an appointment, and I might as well tell you that the secretary should review her way of responding and explaining things without necessarily being haughty, and ridiculous as she says so well. .

This hospital sucks, avoid this hospital as much as possible!!! Went to the emergency room with my daughter for her ear, the doctor says wait a minute and after waiting half an hour it didn't come off anymore, but he was walking back and forth in his workspace .... grrrrr we are just left without further information.

People's health no longer comes first, is a commercial hospital just like all other hospitals, there are a few good doctors but also a few serious bunglers: Dr. De Kelver, Dr Segers, these are not good Dr and have no conscience...

On November 24, I was at the emergency clinic. The approach of the nurses and doctors was very professional and humane. Thank you for everything and I wish them good health and patience in their demanding work.

I was there in the emergency room with my 1 and a half year old son when he cut off his belly on his finger. We didn't wait, they took us right away, there were wonderful nurses who calmed me down too. They played songs and sang to their son while they sewed up his finger, and there were also students trying to cheer him up. Before I left, they also packed bandages, gauze, etc. if I needed it at home. I was very surprised by the approach and I'm glad that I came across a great shift.

Today I went to ORL department at ST Michaels because of the pain in my left ear. While sailing on Danube we were just passing by and I had to run and jump in without appointment. Not only did the MUDr. Matúš Čentéš find the time for me, help me with spot on diagnose and best treatment, but he also went his way to show me where the pharmacy is, he took a few minutes out of his busy schedule to explain prescribed medicine. Hospitality perfect, the servis too. In different hospital they wanted to operate my hernia discs, i relocated here and in 3 days they fixed me up prkperly wothout operation. Thumbs up! Also food is much better then other hospitals and doctors are very friendly and will always properly explain whats going on and discuss various options for you. I will reccomend this hospital anytime!
