Always a good service with Mediclinic Welcare. Especially my experience with my Dermatologist Doctor Betsy Narayan. She was very informative, she takes good care of her patients and answers all questions.More importantly she was able to address my skin problem and now i feel amazing.
Also Nurses here are very nice and assist you with everything.

We were privileged to attend an antenatal workshop arranged by the hospital for to be parents. It was a day long workshop and carefully addressed all the concerns and worries a new parent may have. It was an interactive and a very insightful workshop. Many thanks to the team working at Mediclinic Welcare for their compassion towards new parents. Would totally recommend this hospital for a joyful pregnancy experience.

Dr. Julia Brzoska promotes in Doctorlib reception of publicly insured patients, but they do not.
They have unqualified personal on the front desk unaware fully of regulations.
It wasted my time in such a delicate topic.
They are another private clinic sustained by marketing.

Most Traumatizing Medical Experience Ever!
While the Meo clinic might impress with its aesthetics and cordial staff, its administrative and financial aspects are deeply flawed:
Lack of Transparency: I never received a clear financial breakdown for my treatments, and attempts to seek clarity were met with resistance.
Billing Issues: A year post-treatment, I got bills escalated to collection agencies and court by PVS, an outsourced payment firm used by many of the clinic's doctors. The initial bills of approximately 3800 EUR more than doubled. Worse, the bills had incorrect patient details.
Missing Medical Records: Despite continuous requests over two years, I've only gotten records from one out of the four doctors I saw. A recent visit revealed a mere two notes from 22 visits and a few prescription copies – no record of MRI/MRT scans, ultrasounds, cancer tests, or blood tests.
Poor Communication: The clinic's staff claim that doctors operate autonomously and aren't answerable to them. The doctors, on the other hand, blame PVS, their invoice firm. PVS remains unresponsive, creating a maddening loop of non-accountability.
Legal Issues: While withholding necessary medical documentation from me, the clinic keeps adding to my bills via lawyers. They know I need the documents for insurance, but continue to stonewall all communication attempts, even from my insurance provider.
In summation, my experience with the Meo clinic has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite promises of proficient service and clear English communication (given my expat status during the Covid lockdowns), I've received neither medical results nor proper documentation of treatments. Their blatant disregard and lack of support have left me feeling abused and overlooked.
I warn potential patients, especially international and EU visitors to Germany, to be cautious before visiting this clinic!
Expect zero documentation, no effective communication, and exorbitant bills. This clinic seems indifferent to the profound impacts such negligence might have on your life, expecting you to bear costs out-of-pocket despite insurance coverage. The only "documentation" you might get are bills from PVS that state amounts without any clear patient context.
When reaching out to the clinic for help they clearly state that they aren’t responsible for any of “their doctors”… but at the same time advertise their clinic as a fully integrated medical institution that takes care of everything for you as their patent!
It’s absolutely scandalous!

While I understand the reply is mainly to manage reputation for people reading this review, I spent 35 minutes trying to 'rectify' the issue in the clinic and was met with eye rolls and sighs from unhelpful management. I understand there are protocols to follow in regards to billing, it is just a shame that this time it seems those protocols weren't adhered to and extra charges were added. I believe my email address and phone number are on file so I am happy to discuss further if you wish to reach out.

Quoted €80-150 for a doctors consultation and after a 12 minute consultation was given a bill for €394,88.
Was eventually discounted by €80 euros as was able to show I was charged for services I didn’t receive but still was grossly overcharged and my lack of speaking German was taken advantage of (one small example was my 12 minute consultation was charged as “Mind. 20mins” which the obnoxious manager tried to tell me means “under 20 minutes” and wouldn’t change).
Even when you do the right thing and ask for a price upfront you still get ripped off.
Please think twice before attending this clinic as they are not upfront at all and are very deceitful. The receptionist was good and very apologetic but all other staff dealt with were rude and unhelpful. The final explanation is “I’m sorry but the professor can charge what he wants and won’t change anything”.
Be careful if you don’t speak German as you will likely get overcharged too.

The worst hospital ever, if you’re planning on visiting them you will need to wait hours to see the doctor and while you’re waiting a lot of patients will just get in before you even when you came first! There’s no communication or coordination between the doctors and the nurses and the receptionists, if you’d like to spend all your day in here waiting to get it then it’s the right place for you, otherwise might as well go to another hospital

Went to the ER one Wednesday afternoon, around 13:30. The receptionist saw I was in pain and explained I had taken the wrong password ( you have to press "Consulta Permanente"). She helped me with that and in less than 5 minutes I was called and directed for treatment. Waited about 40 minutes and was seen by Dr. Ramon Maldonado Acosta. Very kind, attentive and in no rush. At 15:00 I was already home, having been to the pharmacy as well. The hospital charged 73 euros. I think it was well worth it. I was in a lot of pain & discomfort. Staff & doctor were really nice.

Amazing service. After going to Loulé public and then Faro, neither surgeons were able to get the foreign body out of my toe and I was told to leave it despite agony and not being able to walk.
I attended Hospital de Loulé in desperation for a competent Doctor to assist and I was privileged to have Dr Ruben as my surgeon. What a genius! 1.5 hours from initial GP appointment, xrays and surgery and the extraction was a success. Amazing, wonderful staff and beautifully clean, calm hospital. Thank you everyone for my incredible experience.

Dr. Joana Rocha Pauletta was extremely rude, condescending and impatient. I waited 30 minutes although I had an appointment, and she seemed to be agitated from the moment I sat down.
I made an appointment with her specifically because her profile said she speaks English. So I waited two months to see her. But when I got in the appointment she continued to not only chastise me for not speaking fluent Portuguese but she was very condescending and rude about it. She continued to communicate with me in Portuguese and then would get frustrated when I didn’t understand. Again, her profile lists English as one of her languages , yet she refused to communicate in English. I had several concerns that I needed addressed regarding perimenopause and her response to each concern was that I needed to see a general doctor.
Additionally their website has an entire page about communication with international patients which makes her behavior and disposition all the more perplexing. Medical Tourism is when people travel for medical procedures, in which case, tourists are not expected to speak the language of the country they travel to.
This was a Horrible horrible experience. If she does not want to deal with native English speakers she needs to remove it from her profile.

I feel robbed. I spoke on Instagram with Dr Paulo Morais (dermatology) about removing a mole in which I sent a photo of it. What did Dr. He told me what it was and that he removed it easily in 15 minutes in a consultation. However, on arrival at the Hospital Clínica da Luz in Amarante, they charged €75 before the consultation. I entered the office Dr Paulo Morais saw the sign again and said he would have to pay €270 to remove it. In other words, I had not mentioned this before, not having gone there prepared, I did not carry out the procedure and I still ran out of €75 in 5 minutes to leave to find out the same and I lost a morning of work. 😔😪 The situation is regrettable, Dr. Paulo Morais deceived me well.

Review of previous review for the reasons I will describe, although I chose to maintain some aspects.
Private clinic where many quality professionals work, however the entire management of this hospital seems to be based solely on traditional, and very clear, objectives: profit!
An institution of this nature must, in my humble opinion, regulate its procedures by ethics, above all.
But that does not always happen.
I do not accept scheduling a surgery with a stipulated price, in prior consultation, and being presented with a bill that ends up being more than double that amount. I paid, it's true, because I didn't take anything that could prove what I'm saying here, even though I had a document at home whose code differs from the one presented to me on the invoice.
But the worst part was how quickly the mini-surgery took place. I ended up not extracting all the "signs" (or warts, which is what they are) planned for extraction, thus maintaining a greater risk of spread. Furthermore, he planned to carry out the action through cryotherapy, and not through scraping, which involved a lot of blood loss, marks everywhere, the impossibility of leaving and other constraints. This was not told to me in the preliminary consultation.
The way in which we are "deceived", because, in my opinion, that is what it is all about, always begins with an initial consultation, which is long and during which sympathy hides the intention of the true final charge, which, in my opinion, does not take place of the doctor's will, but of the objectives to which workers are currently subject.
Here I leave my honest opinion, with the intention that anyone who has a few seconds to read it does not fall into the same "trap". Requiring clear documents, budgets, for example, that stipulate final prices, is fundamental and ends up corresponding to a right enjoyed by users. That cannot be neglected!
PS: Oh, and the date set for surgery cannot correspond to an appointment, let's face it! We should be careful, because if we refuse to accept paying for a consultation on that day, the final price will probably reflect this disagreement, due to some other excuse...

Food was yummy too 😋.

You all do an amazing job. Also a big shout out to the cleaners and sorry if I've forgotten anyone. Thanks so much. Cheers, Peter.

I thank the vascular surgeon T.T. Tazhibaev for a high-quality operation (complex phlebectomy). He chose this particular method, since others had contraindications in my case, and varicose veins were already quite advanced. The operation was performed under general anesthesia, after which I spent three days in the hospital. The doctor's care, staff attitude and comfort were at the highest level. The postoperative period passed without problems and any particular discomfort. Now I have fully recovered and returned to work.

I had a gastroscopy in this clinic, quickly and painlessly. Before the procedure, I read reviews about terrible sensations and prepared for the worst. But at Major, the doctor immediately suggested doing the procedure under sedation. I just fell asleep and didn't feel anything. As a result, I received a protocol and a conclusion. I think this is a useful test that immediately shows the condition of your stomach, even if you have no symptoms. It’s good that you can go through it comfortably and without interfering with the doctor doing his job.

I went to the clinic because of a heart rhythm disorder. There was pain and pressure in the chest, rapid pulse and shortness of breath. Now my attending physician is Anna Vladimirovna Davydova. She specializes in emergency heart problems. She helped me a lot and was able to quickly get me out of an acute state. Literally saved me - a little more and a stroke could have happened. Horrible experience. They dont treat Emergency patients as emergency at all. No matter how bad your health is, you will have to wait for the "ticket" system and the fact that there is only 1 nursing station for emergency patients, before you go to the actual doctor does not help at all. We faced 2 doctors after about 1 hour of waiting in the emergency. The doctor was vague and rude, did not help at all and even after doctor checkup, even getting a saline drip you have to keep reminding the nurses about it.
Not to mention every step you have to go back to the reception to pay some amount. Can they not just total the amount and let us pay at the end? So very inconvenient. Definitely never going back.
Also to mention the Pakistani doctor Majed, or Wajed, was horrible. Did not give any opinion to the patient and kept going "yes i see" the whole time. Horrible doctor. should be ashamed

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!
I gave birth in this clinic since this is what my doctor recommended and work with, the receptionists weren’t so bad but the whole experience was terrible, when I got to the room, they were probably giving some students to practice on me and put the IV needle in my hand, they tried like 4 times and that was so painful ( I still have one of the scars until now on my hand ).
And when they took me to the surgery room, the anesthesiologist though it’s not a good place to put the IV and he took it off roughly and put it somewhere else, and when he was putting it I reacted with my face ( I closed my eyes and pressed on them ) and he was like " you are not brave at all ". He was putting a needle in my hand and he wants me to not feel anything. And even how he was talking to the team and all he was so rude, he was too harsh with me until I told one of the nurses I think, and she told me " don’t worry you are with us ".
So after I delivered the baby, they didn’t even give her to me ( not talking about the surgery room ). They put the newborns in the hallway and they don’t even have a room for them and I don’t like that.
After that, they brought her and they come check on me sometimes, but they didn’t even help me with the baby, ( unless giving her some milk or changing sometimes ).
So when we left ( I was having a C-section ) and my husband took the bill and our luggage to go pay, the manager told him no you go take her (me) back to the room and you pay, then she can go home ( and she saw how I barely move my legs, I was in pain not even able to walk properly and one step was already too much for me ). So I went back until he paid and left again.
After few day, my hand start swollen, I went to the doctor, he told me this is a INFECTION from the IV needle that they left in my hand and didn’t take it off.
Anyway, I do not recommend it to anyone I know or don’t know, that was horrible and I’ll never put my feet there again.

After few day, my hand start swollen, I went to the doctor, he told me this is a INFECTION from the IV needle that they left in my hand and didn’t take it off.
Anyway, I do not recommend it to anyone I know or don’t know, that was horrible and I’ll never put my feet there again.

This is my experience and includes my feelings. I can't understand many of the reviews here. The employees were more than friendly and helpful. The nurses were all equal, friendly and accommodating. Personally, I didn't have the feeling that there was a lack of skills here. Regarding the food, I have to say that it was more than varied and delicious. In my opinion, the portions are also completely sufficient and if someone is there just for food, there is also a canteen that offers delicious food, no one really has to go hungry here . I would like to thank this clinic very much for doing a good job at short notice and, above all, more than competently in an emergency despite the high volume. Maybe you should stop seeing a hospital as a vacation or a hotel and be grateful that you are helped here. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. The hospital was clean, friendly and competent.

The family doctor sends you to the hospital (emergency ambulance) and you sit there for an hour in the waiting area, only to be told that they don't have a surgeon and they can't do anything. So this hospital is getting more and more ridiculous. 0 stars if it were possible.

The fact that something like this persists in Germany is another sign of our ailing health policy.
I was here on a course. I got increasing pain in the left upper abdomen. I tried camomile, heat and pills.
When it got worse on the third day, I went to said emergency room.
From here a disaster.
I was made to wait, then an assistant came, questioned me, took the typical vital parameters, put in an access and took blood and said goodbye. She worked with long artificial fingernails, which I consider extremely questionable and unprofessional in this area. After another hour, a doctor came, asked how things were going, sent me for an X-ray and said goodbye. Two hours later and a few questions, I found out that this doctor is closing time and a new one is coming. This one came too, BUT. He clearly came from Africa and spoke very bad German. He then wanted to do an ultrasound, I'LL GO ABOUT HERE, he prepared everything and then... he couldn't operate the device. He then broke off, saying there was nothing.
I asked what the X-ray revealed. He didn't know about an x-ray, but wanted to ask.
He came back after a whole hour and didn't answer me, wanted to send me to a room. I asked about the X-ray, he said bluntly, he doesn't know anything about it, but if anything happened, he'd find out. He didn't go into the blood.
I released myself, walked to my apartment in pain, packed my bag and drove home. A look at the blood count made me suspicious, my inflammation levels were extremely high (I used to work in the emergency services)
At Großburgwedel I drove down because I almost had an accident, couldn't breathe and could hardly sit up straight.
I crawled into the emergency room and was on the verge of collapse from the pain. They took me straight away. listened to my story Doubted, looked at the papers and were amazed. If new blood was drawn, asked for the diagnosis "meteorism", I denied this. Ridiculous. I was given tilidin for the pain. I was fine in no time.
Blood work came and the inflammation levels were not higher. An ULTRASOUND was done.
Water in the pleural space....
That's simple medicine. Neither the blood was detected, the x-rays gone, and no ultrasound...
A shame and actually I should sue the clinic!!!

I’d give 0 stars if I could.
Unfriendly nurses. Incompetent doctors.
I took my 80 y/o father to the ER, with high blood pressure and a heart failure.
A very rude doctor told us repeatedly, that there was nothing he could do. And he actually didn’t do anything!!!
He just kept on telling us, to go to his primary doctor.

This clinic is a joke!
I have visited this clinic several times and my experiences have been unpleasant to say the least.
The time of the appointment is not taken into account - I waited in front of the office between half an hour and an hour, the doctors being either delayed with the other appointments or completely absent from the clinic. No one seems interested in behaving respectfully with patients and keeping appointments.
The lobby waiting area is insufficient and inadequate. People crowd the corridors like in a pathetic state hospital. The building is unkempt and shabby, especially the hallways and patient toilets.
The reception staff are unprofessional, they don't know how to give you the information you need, they are disrespectful and totally disinterested.
If you don't have a recommendation for a doctor ok, it's a total lottery whether you find someone competent or not, I was very disappointed with how I was treated by certain doctors in this clinic, their level of knowledge and professionalism.
Unfortunately, it does not come close to the quality standards that a private clinic should have

Medlife could invest more in the building and room decorations for 100€/night. The cost of the analysis were covered by the state and the doctor that treated me was very well prepared (dr.Burs). The food is good but there is much to do to compete with the private sector in the West of Europe.
