Went to the ER one Wednesday afternoon, around 13:30. The receptionist saw I was in pain and explained I had taken the wrong password ( you have to press "Consulta Permanente"). She helped me with that and in less than 5 minutes I was called and directed for treatment. Waited about 40 minutes and was seen by Dr. Ramon Maldonado Acosta. Very kind, attentive and in no rush. At 15:00 I was already home, having been to the pharmacy as well. The hospital charged 73 euros. I think it was well worth it. I was in a lot of pain & discomfort. Staff & doctor were really nice.

Amazing service. After going to Loulé public and then Faro, neither surgeons were able to get the foreign body out of my toe and I was told to leave it despite agony and not being able to walk.
I attended Hospital de Loulé in desperation for a competent Doctor to assist and I was privileged to have Dr Ruben as my surgeon. What a genius! 1.5 hours from initial GP appointment, xrays and surgery and the extraction was a success. Amazing, wonderful staff and beautifully clean, calm hospital. Thank you everyone for my incredible experience.

Staff are very polite, but to get through to the Hospital on the telephone is almost impossible. The recording is absolutely a waste of time, if you listen carefully it says ‘your call is important to us and we have recorded your number and we will call you back’ They never call back so you try again and wait for them to answer, which can be over 30 minutes .

Terrible service. They have closed the permanent customer service, admission for appointments from 4pm onwards has to be done at the counter on floor 0 because the counters on the other floors are already closed, which greatly increases the waiting time. Even though I've been coming to this hospital since it opened and I live a 5-minute walk away, I prefer to look for another hospital.

Dr. Joana Rocha Pauletta was extremely rude, condescending and impatient. I waited 30 minutes although I had an appointment, and she seemed to be agitated from the moment I sat down.
I made an appointment with her specifically because her profile said she speaks English. So I waited two months to see her. But when I got in the appointment she continued to not only chastise me for not speaking fluent Portuguese but she was very condescending and rude about it. She continued to communicate with me in Portuguese and then would get frustrated when I didn’t understand. Again, her profile lists English as one of her languages , yet she refused to communicate in English. I had several concerns that I needed addressed regarding perimenopause and her response to each concern was that I needed to see a general doctor.
Additionally their website has an entire page about communication with international patients which makes her behavior and disposition all the more perplexing. Medical Tourism is when people travel for medical procedures, in which case, tourists are not expected to speak the language of the country they travel to.
This was a Horrible horrible experience. If she does not want to deal with native English speakers she needs to remove it from her profile.

I feel robbed. I spoke on Instagram with Dr Paulo Morais (dermatology) about removing a mole in which I sent a photo of it. What did Dr. He told me what it was and that he removed it easily in 15 minutes in a consultation. However, on arrival at the Hospital Clínica da Luz in Amarante, they charged €75 before the consultation. I entered the office Dr Paulo Morais saw the sign again and said he would have to pay €270 to remove it. In other words, I had not mentioned this before, not having gone there prepared, I did not carry out the procedure and I still ran out of €75 in 5 minutes to leave to find out the same and I lost a morning of work. 😔😪 The situation is regrettable, Dr. Paulo Morais deceived me well.

Review of previous review for the reasons I will describe, although I chose to maintain some aspects.
Private clinic where many quality professionals work, however the entire management of this hospital seems to be based solely on traditional, and very clear, objectives: profit!
An institution of this nature must, in my humble opinion, regulate its procedures by ethics, above all.
But that does not always happen.
I do not accept scheduling a surgery with a stipulated price, in prior consultation, and being presented with a bill that ends up being more than double that amount. I paid, it's true, because I didn't take anything that could prove what I'm saying here, even though I had a document at home whose code differs from the one presented to me on the invoice.
But the worst part was how quickly the mini-surgery took place. I ended up not extracting all the "signs" (or warts, which is what they are) planned for extraction, thus maintaining a greater risk of spread. Furthermore, he planned to carry out the action through cryotherapy, and not through scraping, which involved a lot of blood loss, marks everywhere, the impossibility of leaving and other constraints. This was not told to me in the preliminary consultation.
The way in which we are "deceived", because, in my opinion, that is what it is all about, always begins with an initial consultation, which is long and during which sympathy hides the intention of the true final charge, which, in my opinion, does not take place of the doctor's will, but of the objectives to which workers are currently subject.
Here I leave my honest opinion, with the intention that anyone who has a few seconds to read it does not fall into the same "trap". Requiring clear documents, budgets, for example, that stipulate final prices, is fundamental and ends up corresponding to a right enjoyed by users. That cannot be neglected!
PS: Oh, and the date set for surgery cannot correspond to an appointment, let's face it! We should be careful, because if we refuse to accept paying for a consultation on that day, the final price will probably reflect this disagreement, due to some other excuse...

What a wonderful hospital. We had a pre-operation visit today, and from the reception to having our nurse consult, blood tests and X-Rays done, each and everyone we saw, were so kind, and explained everything in detail as to what was going to happen step by step to make us feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. I highly recommend this hospital. Thank you 👍

Referred by Luzdoc to Urgencias on Tuesday 31 October. Everyone we encountered was extremely helpful. Special thanks to Dr Issy and Dr Pedro who reassured me with their professional competence. Nursing staff were very caring. Waiting in such medical circumstances is expected and inevitable. All staff spoke English without any hesitation, for which I am grateful as unfortunately my Portuguese is not to that level. I thank everyone for their assistance and treatment.

Very nice people and very professional doctors at this hospital so the 2 stars are for them. I had a cut in my lip and needed stitches. The very friendly Dutch speaking doctor put in 4 stitches. Good job. But than came the bill. The treatment took 15 minutes, sedation and stitching. The bill: 1100 euro. A totally excessive amount of money for the work done. 2 Years ago I was here also for 6 stitches in my face and than I had to pay around 350 euro. There is something seriously wrong in our society if you wanna make that much money over the backs of people that need treatment. HPA, you should be ashamed. To the CEO of this place, try to look in the mirror and say out loud, 4 stitches 1100 euro, and than keep a straight face.

As someone who unfortunately had to use the services of your clinic, I am appalled by the treatment. There is no price list, prices are given to users arbitrarily. The services of the nurse were charged, and not even a flasher was attached. Transportation services and if I didn't ask, they wanted to charge me. A very bad experience of a clinic that should definitely be avoided. The doctors and nurses are good people, but the management is thieving and over-bargaining. They haggle as if we were at the market.

The Bergonié Institute is truly at the top on all levels. A wonderful organization, which allowed me not to stress about making appointments. These are grouped together on the same day given the distance from my home. Every department I have been to I have met caring, smiling, gentle and professional staff and let's not forget to say very competent.
Top anesthetist and surgeon, thank you.

What to say ? Extraordinary, attentive and competent... just yesterday, I was there; my surgeon, my nurses are more than "on top" of gentleness, smile and everything... if you have serious health concerns, this is the place... if my surgeon retires at the end of this year, I will think of her very much because she is sublime and she deserves "a little" rest - What skill! Thanks to them all.

New to the institute, I am reassured to be treated there.
People who listen, full of gentleness and kindness.
Returning to these places is quite anxiety-inducing, but when we see how we are welcomed there, we take these moments with more lightness.

Living in the Paris region, in March 2023 I performed a colonoscopy at the Clinique Ste Marie (Cergy) revealing the existence of a non-cancerous polyp in the rectum. In April 2023, I contacted Doctor Mourregot at the ICM for a second opinion. The ICM then diagnosed me with stage 3 cancer. Everything is accelerating! Chemotherapy treatment (3 months) accompanied by chemoradiotherapy (1 month) are implemented. To date, I would like to share my experience with anyone who has questions about the care provided by the ICM. I was very well cared for, very well surrounded by a team of competent, professional, thoughtful, attentive and above all attentive doctors, nurses and healthcare staff. I responded very well to the treatments offered. I have complete confidence in this healthcare facility. Good luck to all sick readers and your loved ones but don't hesitate to seek treatment in this establishment! Olivier LALEU

Follow-up and surgery in the context of cancer. Serious and respectful institute. The oncologists, dct fabro and dct quesada, referred me to the surgeon, prof. Colombo, a human professional and very attentive. Intensive care department with little care, same kindness once in the surgery department, apart from the head of department who should be avoided, and who could benefit from training in empathy. Despite this, I remain satisfied and grateful to the institute which has my full confidence.

Avoid this hospital.
So many negative aspects at so many levels. One top administrators is rude and disrespectful to the patients, disregarding the elderly's mental health and feelings.
Prices are astronomical that DO NOT reflect any of the services of the hospital. Room sizes are small, all windows with no curtains in Kuwait's constant sunny days!
The surgeons are supposed to be highly rated, yet were surprisingly dishonest with their patients treatment plans.
The hospital just keeps asking for extra charges over and over. Thats their priority. Keep away as you, the patient, are not part of their primary care at all.
Do not put your health at risk here. You are better off going to any other respectful private hospital in Kuwait where the patient's care, comfort, and well being is their primary concern and not their pockets.

AVOID THIS HOSPITAL
Although they have good doctors, the building itself can not be called a hospital. Avoid this hospital unless you are able to sleep in bright daylight because apparently their designers have not heard about curtains.
The management have no expertise in dealing with elder patients. They are very rude and impolite. The worse experience in our life.

Horrible experience. They dont treat Emergency patients as emergency at all. No matter how bad your health is, you will have to wait for the "ticket" system and the fact that there is only 1 nursing station for emergency patients, before you go to the actual doctor does not help at all. We faced 2 doctors after about 1 hour of waiting in the emergency. The doctor was vague and rude, did not help at all and even after doctor checkup, even getting a saline drip you have to keep reminding the nurses about it.
Not to mention every step you have to go back to the reception to pay some amount. Can they not just total the amount and let us pay at the end? So very inconvenient. Definitely never going back.
Also to mention the Pakistani doctor Majed, or Wajed, was horrible. Did not give any opinion to the patient and kept going "yes i see" the whole time. Horrible doctor. should be ashamed

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!
I gave birth in this clinic since this is what my doctor recommended and work with, the receptionists weren’t so bad but the whole experience was terrible, when I got to the room, they were probably giving some students to practice on me and put the IV needle in my hand, they tried like 4 times and that was so painful ( I still have one of the scars until now on my hand ).
And when they took me to the surgery room, the anesthesiologist though it’s not a good place to put the IV and he took it off roughly and put it somewhere else, and when he was putting it I reacted with my face ( I closed my eyes and pressed on them ) and he was like " you are not brave at all ". He was putting a needle in my hand and he wants me to not feel anything. And even how he was talking to the team and all he was so rude, he was too harsh with me until I told one of the nurses I think, and she told me " don’t worry you are with us ".
So after I delivered the baby, they didn’t even give her to me ( not talking about the surgery room ). They put the newborns in the hallway and they don’t even have a room for them and I don’t like that.
After that, they brought her and they come check on me sometimes, but they didn’t even help me with the baby, ( unless giving her some milk or changing sometimes ).
So when we left ( I was having a C-section ) and my husband took the bill and our luggage to go pay, the manager told him no you go take her (me) back to the room and you pay, then she can go home ( and she saw how I barely move my legs, I was in pain not even able to walk properly and one step was already too much for me ). So I went back until he paid and left again.
After few day, my hand start swollen, I went to the doctor, he told me this is a INFECTION from the IV needle that they left in my hand and didn’t take it off.
Anyway, I do not recommend it to anyone I know or don’t know, that was horrible and I’ll never put my feet there again.

This is my experience and includes my feelings. I can't understand many of the reviews here. The employees were more than friendly and helpful. The nurses were all equal, friendly and accommodating. Personally, I didn't have the feeling that there was a lack of skills here. Regarding the food, I have to say that it was more than varied and delicious. In my opinion, the portions are also completely sufficient and if someone is there just for food, there is also a canteen that offers delicious food, no one really has to go hungry here . I would like to thank this clinic very much for doing a good job at short notice and, above all, more than competently in an emergency despite the high volume. Maybe you should stop seeing a hospital as a vacation or a hotel and be grateful that you are helped here. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. The hospital was clean, friendly and competent.

The fact that something like this persists in Germany is another sign of our ailing health policy.
I was here on a course. I got increasing pain in the left upper abdomen. I tried camomile, heat and pills.
When it got worse on the third day, I went to said emergency room.
From here a disaster.
I was made to wait, then an assistant came, questioned me, took the typical vital parameters, put in an access and took blood and said goodbye. She worked with long artificial fingernails, which I consider extremely questionable and unprofessional in this area. After another hour, a doctor came, asked how things were going, sent me for an X-ray and said goodbye. Two hours later and a few questions, I found out that this doctor is closing time and a new one is coming. This one came too, BUT. He clearly came from Africa and spoke very bad German. He then wanted to do an ultrasound, I'LL GO ABOUT HERE, he prepared everything and then... he couldn't operate the device. He then broke off, saying there was nothing.
I asked what the X-ray revealed. He didn't know about an x-ray, but wanted to ask.
He came back after a whole hour and didn't answer me, wanted to send me to a room. I asked about the X-ray, he said bluntly, he doesn't know anything about it, but if anything happened, he'd find out. He didn't go into the blood.
I released myself, walked to my apartment in pain, packed my bag and drove home. A look at the blood count made me suspicious, my inflammation levels were extremely high (I used to work in the emergency services)
At Großburgwedel I drove down because I almost had an accident, couldn't breathe and could hardly sit up straight.
I crawled into the emergency room and was on the verge of collapse from the pain. They took me straight away. listened to my story Doubted, looked at the papers and were amazed. If new blood was drawn, asked for the diagnosis "meteorism", I denied this. Ridiculous. I was given tilidin for the pain. I was fine in no time.
Blood work came and the inflammation levels were not higher. An ULTRASOUND was done.
Water in the pleural space....
That's simple medicine. Neither the blood was detected, the x-rays gone, and no ultrasound...
A shame and actually I should sue the clinic!!!

Did my regular eye checkup here.
Waited for long time. The doctor said all
fine but I wasn’t sure as I felt some
Difficulties in reading. So went to Al
Ahalia hospital for another checkup. The checkups done at Mediclinic are lesser and they didn’t go in depth for complete understanding of issues. Will avoid in future. Not worth the money paid and time
Spent..

The care I received at this hospital was excellent. The doctors, nurses, and other staff were all very professional and knowledgeable. They were also very kind and compassionate, and they made me feel comfortable and well-cared for during my stay.

The worst inpatient experience!
The rooms are not that clean, the nursing staff is so unorganized. They did not keep a proper log of the medications that were given to my son. I had to tell them which medicines which given and which were still to be taken. The nurse station is so loud! The nurses and doctors are extremely loud in the middle of the night and have no consideration for the patients. The quality of the food/meals is horrible too. The doctors here are good but everything else needs major improvements!

I’d give 0 stars if I could.
Unfriendly nurses. Incompetent doctors.
I took my 80 y/o father to the ER, with high blood pressure and a heart failure.
A very rude doctor told us repeatedly, that there was nothing he could do. And he actually didn’t do anything!!!
He just kept on telling us, to go to his primary doctor.

This clinic is a joke!
I have visited this clinic several times and my experiences have been unpleasant to say the least.
The time of the appointment is not taken into account - I waited in front of the office between half an hour and an hour, the doctors being either delayed with the other appointments or completely absent from the clinic. No one seems interested in behaving respectfully with patients and keeping appointments.
The lobby waiting area is insufficient and inadequate. People crowd the corridors like in a pathetic state hospital. The building is unkempt and shabby, especially the hallways and patient toilets.
The reception staff are unprofessional, they don't know how to give you the information you need, they are disrespectful and totally disinterested.
If you don't have a recommendation for a doctor ok, it's a total lottery whether you find someone competent or not, I was very disappointed with how I was treated by certain doctors in this clinic, their level of knowledge and professionalism.
Unfortunately, it does not come close to the quality standards that a private clinic should have

Medlife could invest more in the building and room decorations for 100€/night. The cost of the analysis were covered by the state and the doctor that treated me was very well prepared (dr.Burs). The food is good but there is much to do to compete with the private sector in the West of Europe.
