Bad services, appointments are always delayed, the billing area is very poor.
I have an appointment that I have been waiting for for more than two months because there is no agenda, it is supposed to be at 9:20, it is 9:35 and I am in line to be able to check in from 8:40 and nothing is moving forward. The tedious thing about the place is always in the billing area.
The appointment is practically lost.

In the emergency room the service is complicated, especially because of the nurses, but in hospitalization things change and it is very nice, the doctors are always kind and the little angels are sweet.

I had the worst experience at this hospital, first they lied to me about the waiting time for my lab results. They asked me to come back in 6 hours for my result and before they told me over the phone that it was gonna be 3 hour wait. Then I called before the 6 hours to ask if my results were ready the lady said she sent me the results through email and that they were normal and I that I don’t have to see a doctor. I believed her and we proceed to return to USA after I opened my email for results and I saw my cholesterol level in red I called the hospital and they told me I have to see a doctor because they can’t read the results only a doctor. They wanted me to set up another appointment and waist another day in Tijuana. I asked for an appointment over the phone and they said because I was a first time patient a have to have an in person appontiment. I don’t agree with this because they lied to me on everything, they don’t even help you or guide you when you’re there in person. These people only care about your money please don’t go over here. I regret having my test on this place they are not transparent and not professional at all. 😢

I’ve been coming here regularly for almost 7 months to treat my tumor in my hand, I’ve hand multiple surgeries and each one has been successful and quick. The border medical pass is a huge perk which eliminates the need to wait hours in line to get back to the states.

Terrible service, absurd delay at reception of more than 40 minutes. Unprepared employees with no information on service protocols. Both for scheduling by phone and in person. I scheduled an MRI and confirmed the information before making the call and when I arrived to be seen on the second attempt (as the first time I was unable to be seen because the exam was 2 hours late) the attendant gave me completely different information, stating that I would need to change the order on behalf of the council, and I confirmed it with the telephone attendant twice regarding the council. Anyway, on top of that, I agreed to take the exam because I was urgently required, but it was 1h30 late, which ended up being a little longer. The hospital used to be excellent, but it has lost its quality, I don't recommend it.

Terrible in terms of hospitalization... I arrived at the hospital with my daughter with blood in her stool... I was well looked after in the ER and, after carrying out the tests, the doctor informed me that hospitalization would be necessary. We were directed to the infirmary and here I have been ever since. I was admitted to the hospital on 11/27/23 at 7:58 pm.
I signed the authorization for hospitalization on 11/28/23 at 01:48 and now it is 15:50 on 11/28/23 and we are still here in the infirmary...
They should warn you before admitting you about all this! A lack of respect. My daughter has been on a stretcher for 14 hours and I was sitting in a chair for hours and after a lot of complaining, they put an armchair...

DON’T HAVE CHILDREN IN THIS PLACE😡😡
Worst experience possible, we signed a maternity plan at this unit, everything was wonderful when presented, I thought it would be a good place for my wife and daughter.
My wife went into labor so we went to the hospital. Arriving at the location, my wife went to the service.
There was no room available, so we did the whole process by pushing our bags around the hospital.
I asked the receptionist who informed me that this is quite common at the place, as it happens every day and so I asked someone from management (both rude) and said that I would only have a room around 9 am and at that time it was around midnight. night and a half.
Of course it didn't happen, he only got to the room around 2:30 pm.
In short, my wife had our daughter, I continued through the hospital pushing suitcases, all of this was nothing close to what my wife went through.
THEY SIMPLY LEFT MY WIFE FOR 5 HOURS IN THE RECOVERY ROOM ALONE WITH THE BABY AFTER A RACHI BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ROOM
I CAN'T GET OUT OF MY HEAD HER CRYING TELLING ME
Several women passed through the recovery room and went to their rooms, and they remained there with no one to help.
We arrived at our room after much insistence and were poorly attended to by the staff while my wife went through what she went through.
INHUMANE HOSPITAL WITH TERRIBLE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
NOTE: Nurse GABI was incredible in providing care at all times
In other words, look for another place for such an incredible moment in life.

It is a clinic that does not have the slightest cleanliness requirements. Dishes, food, urine on the floor, ducks full of urine, wheelchairs remain in the hallways and inside the patients' reference room, thus generating bad odors and bad appearance. and a hostile environment. Nurses do not remain on site when patients require them. Patients have to be alert when the catheter bag is full and if they don't pick it up it overflows and makes a puddle of urine and it can go on all day and no one comes to clean it. They only allow one person to visit, but if another person arrives and the patient does not have any family members, they do not allow entry, because it is only one person per day. To enter the ICU they do not allow anything moral to be brought in with the toiletries but everything must be carried by hand. Visitors' personal belongings must be stored in a locker and do not provide any security. Once in the ICU he has to remove his rings, watch and other items. It really is a real ordeal. At the entrance door, the patient list is not updated and it can take more than 1/2 hour for the guard to communicate with the floor to verify if the patient is there or not. Don't let your patients be taken there. It seems that the service was alms. I can't explain how health allows the operation of this type of services and does not monitor the operation of the institution. When they release the patient, it takes more than 5 hours to leave because they only allow a single person to enter to do the procedures and to find the doctor who will give recommendations for the patient.

Very grateful to the hospitalization staff, I took the opportunity to tell Alejandro and the other nurses on his shift (the two girls who kindly said goodbye to my baby) it's a shame the emergency room wasn't many patients and the wait was exaggerated for a 5-year-old baby. months . The clinic should have other pediatricians. I don't know why the one that was there took so long.

I had my baby last 10/6/2023 and the experience was excellent. I highlight the attention and professionalism of the staff, the attention to detail, the special way they have of making the mother and the family feel good and making things easy. The facilities are comfortable although in some areas they are under construction. To improve 3 things: the cafeteria (the food is really not very good, I opted for delivery), the Internet (I was never really able to connect, but with the data plan it was solved), and it would be ideal if it could be done in one time the civil registration of the newborn at the clinic so as not to have to go around searching where and waiting in lines later. But most importantly, the clinic is a 10/10. Many thanks for everything.

A family member had surgery a few days!
At de financial desk, I paid the amount that they charged!
I asked, with this payment, all medical services are covered!
They said Yes!!
After 24 hrs, my family member was ready to check out!
The nurse's desk told me that I need to go to the financial desk to pay, before the patient can go!
I was upset, due to the fact I paid enough for 24 hrs!
They told me that all services such as: gloves, medications,
Hygiene, food, etc, have to be paid!
This hospital is old!
I paid more than I should have!
My recommendation is, not to use this hospital Climic Catolic

Very good service and support. I called them one day before for an appointment. Nex day At 11 am I met the doctor (on time!). Very good conversation in english, very fast service. You have to pay in advance. People were very friendly and helpful! Appointment costs about 80 dollars, other things on demand. you can pay by credit card easily. i highly recommend the clinic.

Worst ER I have seen, the nurses show zero compassion, waiting time is endless, no proper process for taking patients in is in place, not clean, every time I go there’s blood on the floor which is not cleaned right away. People are left to die, some bleeding some in pain & no one cares. Twice now that I go & I wait hours even before I make it to Triage to get my information taken & i end up leaving.

I was delighted with the treatment I got at Joe Brant last Wednesday, the 18th of October. I arrived around 4PM with a finger I had cut off (I had it with me) and one that was basically dangling. It was a table saw accident. I was greeted immediately and directed to the waiting room. I did have to ask if they should put my finger on ice with the hopes it could be reattached. That was done. The triage nurse was great (sorry, I didn’t get her name) and the person who wrapped my hand the first time equally as great.
I eventually got to the back (it was a busy time) and Dr. Terry Hatch came in and assessed my fingers. He told me exactly what was happening and what was going to happen. And then set the wheels in motion. I was re bandaged, sent for X rays given tetanus shots, and then Dr. Hatch came back in and began to work on shaving the bone etc and stitching up my fingers. It was decided that the one would not be reattached, but the other one was to be repaired.
I felt very well looked after by the main nurse assigned to me, Dr. Hatch and pretty much everyone else. Dr. Hatch was calm, professional, pleasant and excelled at what he did. All my questions were answered simply and calmly, no matter how silly they may have been. I had some prescriptions for pain and antibiotics, and a referral for an appointment for a plastic surgeon (follow up) before I left.
I can’t say enough about Dr. Hatch and the nursing team in Emergency.
Thank you so much for what you do, and the way you do it.

While I appreciated the procedure being done my beef is this places billing department only affords you 6 months to pay your balance. So even tho I have insurance through my place of employment and reached my déductible prior to surgery, and even though I have been making payments monthly for the remaining 20% ... if my balance isn't paid in full within 6 months their "policy" is to send it to collections. Now I was offered 'financial assistance' IF I submit two or three years of taxes, plus several paycheck stucs. (So basically all of my personal information) which is not only time consuming but also invasive.
I'm just a single gal trying to make ends meet. I needed the surgery to prevent further complications down the road so I elected to have it done. Perhaps I missed information prior to getting the surgery? But I NEVER thought that even though I am paying monthly a fair amount towards the remaining balance that I would STILL be threatened with having it go to collections.
And just for that reason I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Period

The Nurses, CNAs, PTs, & Staff were all AMAZING!!! My mom had knee surgery a week ago and our experience there was great!! Everyone was kind and helpful from admission to post op. I can’t remember everyone’s names but I did take some down! We loved how kind and helpful her nurse Kaylani was!!! The most important part to us was having a Spanish speaking nurse on staff. My mom only speaks Spanish and it was so comforting to us knowing at night she was left with someone she could understand and communicate with! Thank you to Josephina and Nasthja for taking such good care of my mom! The physical therapist, Ruth is incredible!!! My mom adored her and made us feel confident about taking her home!! Special thank you to KASS, CNA!!!! She provides excellent patient care. Spine and Joint hospital provided quality care!

I went here to ask for Lazer skin care surgery for moderate to medium severe unknown facial scarring…
I paid $6,000 for 1500 Needles to be punctured into my skin with some sort of medicine that must have just been sterile water… it actually looks ten times worse than it did before I started; had I not mentioned I had an inheritance; I might not have been sent to a random room….
They might have actually given me the first possible treatment too work for my skin, instead they figured I’d go back for the rest of the 14 other rooms of mechanical devices they had to offer for skin care. WHEN I SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR LAZER TREATMENT… when I arrived she just grabbed this huge machine with a needle device (PUHHHWOOOPHTSHHHHHUUUUHHHGHAHGHAGHA) it was a retarded puncture device with a huge needle going in and out of your cheeks and such, completely missing my nose which was half of my worry to begin with. I’m thinking of sueing concidering that treatment isn’t even listed on their website!!! I’m very upset. I’m providing a unbiased and true experience of my most recent hospital visit at UNIBE in Costa Rica. I travel frequently to Costa Rica and had the most pleasant and professional experience on two previous occasions while be admitted to the hospital for long term stays from the doctors to the staff members this is why I chose to return. Unfortunately my most recent experience was negative to say the least from my initial checkin to being discharged as I was appalled with the treatment and level of service provided.
The intake personal have absolutely no business being placed into these positions as they lack the customer service skills interacting with the public as it appeared they are unhappy providing even the most basic questions to the patient.
Upon being released from my procedure the doctor or not even a staff members took a minute of there time to discuss my diagnosis or even medications if required in person. I was just given a piece of paper which I had so many questions as I was unfamiliar with the medications required and diagnosis provided.
I have been acclimated in other hospitals throughout the world upon completing a procedure the doctor or staff member would meet you in person afterwards and discuss there findings also any medications if required even if it’s a minute or two unfortunately this didn’t happen.
That particular weekend I had been enduring many unpleasant symptoms as I drove two hours to visit the hospital thinking I would have a positive interaction unfortunately this didn’t become to fruition as I was deeply disappointed.
I then asked the admitting personal upon being discharged if I can discuss my results with the doctor or any staff member they said I would need to set an appointment with the doctor and pay additional fees for another date. I was beyond disappointed and infuriated as I would need to return another day to drive another 4 hours in total. Once again the behavior displayed by the admitting personal was unacceptable and discourteous.
This will be my last time visiting this establishment as the level of service provided was unacceptable especially of a paying patient. I recommend future travelers or foreigners utilize other hospitals in the area which hopefully would have more of a bedside manner when someone is ill and can conduct themselves in a professional manner.

My review is solely basednon the eait in the ER , as that is the only place we have seen after 3 hours of waiting. It is dirty, gross and the staff all hate humanity. They also have one restroom for the entire ER waiting room which currently houses 20 or so people waiting to be seen.

ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!!
Worst experience ever.
Father arrived to ER by ambulance around 1 PM for a heart attack!!
No doctor sees him until 5 PM.
Labs were done, notes taken for a cardiac consult and an echo cardiogram. Notes were taken but orders were never submitted!
So the next day was spent in a hospital room with NOTHING being done.
Echo finally done at 3PM. Doctor show up later and hasn't reviewed any notes or tests! He tells us now that they can't do the cath until Monday (this is currently Friday!!). If they had treated his heart attack as the emergency it was, they would have done the cath right away.
Nurse comes in at night with only 2 of the 6 medications needed for my father. Dosage is wrong! ER miswrote the notes for his medication!!
Something very wrong is happening here!!
Hoping this place doesn't kill my dad!!
Avoid at all costs!!
Cleveland Clinic has ruined the hospital!!

Horrible. Horrible experience!! If at all possible avoid this ER. Thought I was doing the right thing by calling 911 for my mother in order to have her seen asap.that might have been the case… but don’t plan on going back to be with your family member. Seriously! Insane the way I was treated. I begged everyone I could to please let me back there to be with my 78 yo mother. “Sorry.. not protocol” zero care from anyone I spoke to. No one cared that my mom was crying for me. They all just kept telling me it’s protocol to wait for an assigned doctor, that they were extremely busy. Well.. I keep pressing the issue and was finally allowed back. To an empty room, almost empty ER.. zero doctors around. Not busy as all. Disgusting the way I was treated. Horrible
They literally coukd care less. I’m sick to my stomach over how bad it went down

This review is more from an employment perspective and how the hospital operates behind the scenes. There’s a reason why UCLA is popular… they have money, mostly state of the art equipment, the hospital is clean and well designed but what happens behind the scenes is just plain scary.
I worked here for about 3 years and was regularly dealing with high school drama, backstabbing colleagues, and abusive management. When you’re working somewhere that has a reputation, everyone will try to throw you under the bus in order to lift themselves up in front of management. Lies, deceit, manipulation, etc. UCLA is no exception and they did nothing to prevent this.
I’ve worked for 4 major hospitals and UCLA is low on that list as one of the worst hospitals I’ve worked in. The culture here is very toxic and I know a handful of people who have also quit for similar reasons to the ones I cited.

ER -great
Nurse-amazing
Clean hospital -great
One problem they are here to make money. All three doctors didn't review meds. I complained about side effects. They don't care. They take 10min and they run away. Complete fraud!!!! Doctors upstairs do not take time to study and you can't locate them. They hide!!! This is not right. doctors need to be available all the time on each floor!!!! All doctors are new. No experience

Staff are friendly, courteous and very helpful.
I was discharged from other hospital and was advised to wait for call after 18 hours of excrutiating pain, I was sent home with nothing just that re-assuring words from not-so-friendly nurse that "doctor will just call me" and Leukocytes already almost doubling, CT and UTZ both showing abnormalities, as a healthcare provider myself, knowing something is already wrong, decided to go to Sunnybrook.
The moment you enter ER, you will greeted by friendly old lady who will assist you on their process of registration.
ER nurses are very friendly and doctors will let you feel you're human with feelings. They're all efficient and knowledgable. I was admitted shortly after and did not wait long.
I will be forever be grateful.

Today, I had an appointment with my MS doctor at Sunnybrook. Having been here for appointments in the past, I've always been impressed with the high-quality service they provide. Parking is conveniently located near the front entrance, and there are nearby pay stations for easy access. Inside, they have hand sanitizing stations and provide masks, and you'll find plenty of helpful staff to answer any questions and guide you through the hospital. Wheelchairs are also readily available at the entrance.
I have the utmost satisfaction with Dr. Lee, who consistently takes the time to address all my questions and ensures I have a clear understanding of my medical plan. I feel incredibly fortunate to have access to such excellent healthcare services.

Visited Sunnybrook Hospital as a guest of a patient. Volunteer staff was very helpful and able to guide us to the correct wing of Hospital.
There is an ATM on the 1st floor close to the information desk.
There are hand sanitizing throughout the hospital and at the main entrance there is also a self dispensing mask station which was very convenient.
Gift store had very friendly staff and there was such a wide variety of toys, puzzles, t-shirts, stationary, greeting cards and everything in between alongside some gadgets.
The areas of the hospital visited were very well kept.
