The truth is that I am very satisfied with the attention of the doctors and also with the social work staff, they are very good and conscientious
But the guards are the worst thing this beautiful hospital can have
They spend their time sleeping on night shifts and ignore you when you need guidance.
They treat you the worst and feel that they are from the SSC but the truth is that the hospital is not to blame for having a HORRIBLE security company
Aceves the guards are too smart. they give you a bad deal
That's why I give them 2 stars
Because those stars deserve it, the people who really take their work seriously and thank you very much for the attention that the General Hospital of Mexico gives us
There I leave the photos of the guards so that there is evidence and they do not think that it is a lie

BEWARE IF YOU ARE A TOURIST! My father was hospitalized on a family trip to Cancun. He was transported to this hospital and needed emergency surgery This hospital FAILED him. They wouldn’t even give him so much as saline or an antibiotic without payment in FULL. WE WERE CHARGED $4,000 FOR. He went 8 HOURS sitting on an emergency room bed when he should have been in surgery. THEY DEMANDED 50,000 DOLLARS PAID IN FULL BEFORE STARTING ANY CARE AND THAT WAS JUST FOR THE SURGERY. WE OFFERED TO PAY 25,000 SO THEY COULD START AND THEY REFUSED. WE OFFERED TO PAY THE REST THE NEXT DAY AND THEY REFUSED. WE TRANSFERRED MY FATHER TO THE OTHER HOSPITAL BECAUSE WE THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO DIE. WE FELT USELESS WHILE THEY HAD ALL THE POWER TO DO SOMETHING THEY CHOSE TO DO NOTHING!!!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND NOTHING MORE. ITS A MIRACLE MY FATHER SURVIVED AND ONLY BY THE HELP OF GOD WAS MY FATHER ABLE TO COME BACK HOME WITH US. JUST TO TOP IT OFF WHEN WE WERE PAST THE TRAUMA THAT THESE PEOPLE PUT US THROUGH THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO BILL IS THE OXYGEN THAT WAS ADMINISTERED DURING THE AMBULANCE RIDE!! 2000 DOLLARS!!!!!!!! THEY WOULD RATHER WATCH YOUR FAMILY MEMBER DIE, I WILL NEVER FORGET THEIR DISGUSTING SMUG FACES

It feels very comfortable being there. Olivia is the best. She arranges everything for you when you are from outside the country of Mexico. You show up and all is prepared. Her personality is very welcoming and friendly. I love not having to worry about the stress of paper work especially since i don't know Spanish well. All her subordinates speak English as well and are all very nice. Galenia might be costly however the peace of mind you get not being stresses out with paperwork helps a lot. I don't even need to Contact my insurance. They do everything for you. Best service. The receptionist at imaging are a bit slow and don't know any English. But the staff attending to you in the radiation area are super friendly and helpful. I see many people complain about the price. This is a private hospital and will be costly. It is the same in my own country. Private hospitals cost a lot but if you have insurance and you are not from Mexico, then I highly recommend using their tourism concierge. They are a great help and speak English. They are all very nice and helpful. I have had the pleasure of meeting and being assisted by Olivia (who is the best), Ellen, Ricardo and another guy i cant remember his name. Not sure if it is Daniel or something with a D. That was over 2 years ago i met him. They arranged everything with my insurance prior to going there. I just showed up and Olivia walked me through everything. I was in and out as quick as possible. No long waiting. Use the concierge service they have. It really helps you from stressing about paperwork and payments. My journey at Galenia started September 2021 and I continue into 2023......

Be careful all the tourists MOST FROM USA, in this hospital they don't try to help, they're just looking to take all your money freaking you out, using your feelings to scare you and take as much money as they can!! Please don't go there, go to the General Hospital they really help for nothing ($$). If you want to WASTE your money go to the Galenias.

I've been go Almater Hospital twice now to have surgeries with Dr. Luque. I can't begin to express my gratitude for what wonderful experiences I've had. On both occasions, the staff both with Dr. Luque's clinic team, the surgical team, and the hospital staff have gone above and beyond to take exceptional care of me. They are patient with my insecurities and anxiety about the processes, they deliver excellent care, and are kind and considerate throughout. I'm a Nurse Practitioner by trade in the US and have had many surgeries in the US in the past. I can genuinely say the care I received at Almater hospital and by these medical professionals far exceeds any treatment I've ever received in the US. This will be my choice hospital for care with all procedures I'm able to utilize them for and highly recommend them to others.

Very bad hospital to get treated. I went for a procedure on my low back (cyst) and they charged me over 9,000 pesos for just medicine, and wanted to charge me 50,000 for the procedure. Of course they only told me the price after I had asked how much it was going to be. Also they charged me 1000 pesos extra for using a different doctor that supposedly is filling in for another. They wanted to keep me over night for no reason, I would have just been laying in bed (I assume to make more money of me). Communication between the workers is bad. Not recommend at all. Prices are way overpriced and the service is bad. Save your time and money and go to a different hospital

They allow themselves to be charged as a 5-star hospital and it is not. The nursing service is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. You ring the bell and they never help you or if they help you it's because they're going for something else. I was hospitalized for 4 days and better I learned to manage the serum control boxes and if I needed something better I would stop to go to the infirmary's reception... Of course, they don't shake their hands to get paid.

I expected much more from this hospital, I don't have insurance so I had to pay the full bill. It was an account of 200k for a single night, the service is mediocre, from the moment you arrive the facilities are half emhhh, obviously they make you fill out all your paperwork and leave a deposit of 150k. The bed was horrible, the most uncomfortable I've ever been in and look at how I've had about 10 operations including the public health system and I dare say this was the worst, all the nurses had no idea of anything, they didn't know when to change the Medicines or anything, the cleaning of the room was bad, they left the dirty food tray until they arrived with the next meal. I liked the location since my parents were able to go to Paseo Acoxpa to have fun. And a recognition to the nurse Ana María, nurses like them are to be appreciated, with high vocation and dedication. The food was so-so. There are still many things to improve in the hospital, it looks very new or improvised. It is not one of my favorites and if I can avoid it I will.

The facilities are quite clean and pleasant, at least the room that was assigned to me was quite nice, clean and comfortable, unlike others that are a little simpler that I had the opportunity to see right here, I don't know if they still exist or have been remodeled, but I don't have any complaint.
The extremely friendly staff from the first moment, from administrative, security, nutrition and especially nursing, attentive at all times and for any little thing regardless of the time, after my surgery I asked for a blanket and in a minute I already had a thermal, I asked for my glasses and they brought them to my room in another building.
Quality staff checked into the room daily to ask if I was comfortable and receiving good care.
The only thing that was quite complicated was the entrance, since it took 3 hours due to lack of availability of rooms, despite the fact that it was already scheduled. Same thing with check in and out, it took too long.
Still, I was extremely satisfied with my stay.

I entered because of my daughter's major medical expenses and from then on they think that since you don't absorb all the expenses, they can give you mediocre care, to begin with they put you on one side of the building where everyone has major medical expenses, what's up? a floor for children where there are games and themes for children, the emergency area is very deficient, you practically have to wait outside and they are quite late, since urgently they do nothing, the administrative areas seem worse than the ISSTE or IMSS for real What a pity that charging what they charge they don't have much better service, you see them talking or really eating I was going to put a video of all this but I didn't want to harm the ladies, of course if you pay a lot more money the service is 100 and what there is an area that looks like the fourth apartments, it is understood that they deal with a lot of people but there must be more empathy.

An excellent hospital, the first time I attended and even the parking security people are very friendly, clean, tidy facilities.
The doctor that I went to see was very kind and respectful, the pharmacy with a wide variety of medicines, they accept cards. Ample parking and everything is very well identified. Before entering the elevators you can see the directory in tower 1 are the offices and tower 2 is specialty. You find a Starbucks and a store to buy food.

Good doctors, I did not like my visit very much, I was not even issued a prescription about my medical care or any simple report, there was not a single serious reply, everything was fine, there is nothing more and it is urgent that he withdraw. Referring to the doctor who treated me, yes, for his therapies or treatments it is good to charge. From the girl who is a receptionist. He has no idea how to treat customers. And I stayed in the same and now to pay again. With another urologist who is serious

Security tried to detain me for walking off the property with my daughter simply because I wasn’t in a car. My wife was inside with my mother in-law for her appointment. Security tried to detain me for walking off the property with my daughter simply because I wasn’t in a car. My wife was inside with my mother in-law for her appointment. They claimed they could keep me on there property. I was simply walking through the park lot to go to the mall with my 8 year old daughter.

I went to have some laboratory studies done and I did not see that the person who took the laboratory sample washed their hands or applied alcohol or gel. I asked him if he had done it, and he assured me that he had, but I saw his hands dry when he put the alcohol pad on me before performing the puncture. Having to take their word for something they routinely perform in front of patients left me a bit concerned.

Unfortunately the hospital staff seem to have the only goal of making as much money off you as possible, recommending exams and treatments that are not needed or very, very excessive. On top of that, their professional knowledge is so poor I had a X ray technician and a doctor telling me I have a condition by which my organs are on the opposite side of where they should be because they were looking at my X rays flipped the wrong way around. In short avoid if you can!

I would definitely not go back to that hospital, I had ankle surgery and the admitting people are unbelievably incapable, they take too long for admission and it was supposed to be "emergency" plus the deposit I made was not refunded until I asked Due to the invoice for this, they told me that in fact I had a credit balance and that I had to return to cancel the voucher. The medical discharge that my doctor did took hours to process. In addition, the discharge took a long time because they missed an x-ray. Friendly nurses but on two occasions that I called they did not come to my room. Good facilities, nice spacious room and my excellent doctor.

Completely disappointed, everything was happiness, good facilities, perfect medical care, good emergency, wonderful nursing, good doctor, excellent food, until the day I was discharged, the nursing center took 3 hours to pass the discharge account analysis since my doctor indicated everything because they changed their system and I don't know if nobody knows how to use it or it's very bad, they loaded me with 10 jars of happiness in two days when they only used one, they supposedly had fixed it and it wasn't true since my The insured rejected the bill for those same bottles and they left me in the hospital another day when I no longer needed it, since an analysis of the accounts told me that they had already sent the corrected bill to the insurer and it was a lie, since it was already 10 pm and that Darian did not discharge me until the next day, the next day I had to go up and down, I felt kidnapped since the insurer was not refusing to pay, I just wanted the correction of the bottles that I charged They took too much until I said I'm going to go out for a patrol car because they have me kidnapped.
Administratively, they are at minus zero, very bad.

Terrible experience. I tested positive for COVID three days ago, and began Paxlovid and fever reducers immediately. After three days, I am still having symptoms and testing positive.
I called the ambulance to bring me to the hospital. My oxygen was 81 (after a dexamethasone injection and tablet today). The paramedic gave me oxygen right away in the ambulance.
The doctor was useless. He refused to prescribe remdesivir. In nonhospitalized patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 who are at high risk of progressing to severe disease, remdesivir should be started within 7 days of symptom onset and administered for 3 days. The doctors name was Dr. Diego Lecona.
I showed proof of my asthma and low oxygen saturation from prior attacks. He did nothing to help me and didn’t give me the medicine. All he did was charge me over $300 for a useless consult. Never again

Unfortunately I became quite I’ll on a recent trip to Mexico City. The physician on call for the hotel direct me to this hospital. My care in ER was efficient, caring and appropriate. Lilliana and Mezil in Er were so caring and great communicators. I was admitted and again impressed with the care of the team. Very professional and respectful. When called received prompt response. My physician, Dr Jessica was knowledgeable, great personality and did follow thru with communication upon my return home. Highly recommend and hope in US we can rid our staff of the EMR demands that take them away from the bedside. Perhaps then we can be as attentive as the team in this hospital. Thank you to the nurses, housekeeping and residents as well!

The doctor I worked with was professional, but the setup of the hospital is horrendous. I had arranged to have a test, which was then cancelled without telling me and they rearranged the test was almost 3 times the price. I also had to collect my own results, which were also not sent to the consultant. How can a hospital claiming to be the best in Mexico and not share the results with your consultant? The only test I was given results to was my blood test.

Bad experience, my mother arrived with a fractured wrist, I waited 12 hours for them to attend her, they decided to put 3 boys who were doing their internships, without being fit or being supervised by a professional, to follow the bone and bandage and splint placement processes In short, more than a month passed, the bones did not stick together, they were separated because they went too far with the growth spurts. they squeezed his hand too much with a bandage, a splint and more bandages, the hand that was getting bloody swollen too much and now needs surgery I HOPE THEY PAY MORE ATTENTION TO THOSE DETAILS, AND TO PROFESSIONAL SUPERVITION AND THAT THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN WITH FUTURE PEOPLE

July 29, 2021 very good service, kindness from the security personnel. In the emergency area, they inform you of the situation of your patient in a timely and continuous manner; I only recommend that family members really be patient, because we must understand that the priority of doctors is caring for the sick and not expect them to come out on time to give reports 😉
Something bad is that the PRIANIST GOVERNMENT of our State (Martín Orozco) did not accept the INSABI offered by the Federal Government and care has in most cases a cost beyond the reach of the average population, although there is a discount, leaving them in debt for years ♂️ 🤷🏽.

I never imagine that they serve great quality of food with numerous options. The taste were not bland, it is well seasoned. I always look forward for every meal. heheh. Oh, and their rooms are so clean! They make sure that a cleaner visits my room twice a day to mop and clean the toilet and they remove the trash. And finally, the Nurses are very kind, caring and gentle.. They check up on you multiple times a day/night and responds quickly if you call them.

Went in to get an abscess removed on three different visits. I was scheduled at 10am but the room wasn't available until 8pm. Told to wait. I luckily asked for a written cost estimate and was told 58,000 PESOS (not including blood work, ultrasound and "hospital fees"). I said "no" and before I left, I paid the receptionist the 2,000 peso consult fee which she strangely handed over to one of the doctors. I never got a receipt for the two times that I paid. I went down the street and had the abscess removed for 2,000 pesos. BE SURE TO GET A WRITTEN COST ESTIMATE BEFORE ANY PROCEDURE. GO ELSEWHERE- THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF! 30x more than the competition. Head cardiologist wanted to practice doing a angiocatheter procedure.
Got flown to my home hospital and found no cardio issues.
Told me if that procedure done in Cozumel would have a flight home in a wooden box.
One night in a bed was $13,000.

I don't know what all her official titles are, but I do know that Andrea is one busy woman, and does so much for so many. Some day, she's going to round a corner at the hospital and run into herself.
Thank you, Andrea.

Excellent professional service. Make no mistake, this is a private hospital, so there is a cost for everything. As Canadians who really have little idea what healthcare costs, we thought our bill was reasonable. My wife saw a doctor, had an ultrasound done and lab tests. The results were emailed to us the next day(in English) and we were able to send them to our doctor at home for follow up. The hospital is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only (very small) complaint was the temperature of the hospital - it was cold! Bring a sweater and you will be fine…

Glad to make it out alive via a shrewd American air paramedic and a lot of luck.
Head cardiologist wanted to practice doing a angiocatheter procedure.
Got flown to my home hospital and found no cardio issues.
Told me if that procedure done in Cozumel would have a flight home in a wooden box.
One night in a bed was $13,000.

Brought my tio for the first time to this hospital as a emergency. He had surgery and we were quoted a price. Discharge day came and the price they had quoted went up by a couple of thousands. Nothing could be done about it.... Please don't come here, go to another hospital save yourself from these thiefs

I came to this hospital in October 2021 to get a tubal reversal. We made the decision to go to Mexico for surgery because of the cost compared to the U.S and I don’t regret my decision! It was clean, professional, and comfortable. The doctor who performed my surgery explained everything to my husband and I thoroughly and even showed us pictures. Although I do recommend taking someone with you if you can, who is bilingual because some of the nurses and I had trouble communicating since I don’t know Spanish, luckily my husband does and was able to translate things though. Maritza was the person who facilitated the appointment and was very responsive, she even met us at the hospital on a Saturday (the day of my appointment) to check us in. Most importantly though my tubal reversal was successful! I’ve had an hsg procedure back home in San Diego which confirmed this. I have not gotten pregnant yet though but I’m hopeful it will happen soon.I just wanted to share my experience to any other person it may help.

I highly recommend anyone who is thinking of having a sort of medical procedure this is the place to have it done. I am over the moon with how well I was treated by not only the nurses and hospital staff but Dr. S, Dr. Mariana, Penelope and Maritza were exceptionally wonderful to work with. I had weight loss revision surgery and could not be happier. I will be going back at some point for plastics. Thank y’all for being so good to me and my mom.

I wasn't going to write a review (I'm so over all this), but I feel compelled to after reading a review that was extremely similar to what I experienced here for COVID-19 treatment.
I tested COVID-positive on January 3rd and started Paxlovid. I saw my neighborhood doctor on January 4th. I am vaccinated (and boosted) but am at high risk with asthma. I was given steroids and breathing medicine. I was instructed to go to the hospital if I got worse.
I got worse. The following evening, my oxygen dropped below 80. Scared, I called an ambulance and requested to be taken to this hospital as it was supposed to be the best. They took my oxygen in the ambulance and immediately gave me oxygen. I was on oxygen the whole time in the ambulance.
I was taken off oxygen when I arrived as my saturation reached the high 90s. I requested the antiviral remdesivir. The doctor refused to give me the medicine. I explained how my condition worsened despite days on Paxlovid, steroid injections, oral steroids, bronchodilators, and rescue inhalers. He could not have cared less.
I requested to leave as the doctor was not going to treat me (he charged me, though). The doctor told me there were other ID specialists. I requested to speak to one of them, and the doctor left. While waiting, someone else came in and said there were no other ID specialists there, so I paid and left. It should be noted my saturation had fallen to 92% by that time.
I struggled at home with symptoms for the next few days. I continued testing positive after completing Paxlovid. My condition worsened, and I returned to the neighboring doctor about a week after leaving the hospital. Still symptomatic and COVID-positive, he examined me and found pneumonia. My labs were also abnormal, showing evidence I had developed blood clots due to COVID-19. He prescribed medicine for pneumonia and clots (which worked). All this could have been prevented.
Trying to get my medical records from this hospital afterwords (for insurance) was like pulling teeth. It took forever to get my records, and when I finally did, I was shocked. The doctor noted that I said things I never did. My signature was forged on the documents.
Worst hospital experience ever. Very expensive and received no treatment. The administration is a nightmare as well. Avoid it if possible.

We have been living In 3 different countries for the past 9 years, never experienced anything as bad. We have a a top insurance but they “suddenly” only excepts credit card payment. Stayed for additional 5 hours because they did not let’s leave. No one speaks English except the doctors. However, doctors are very competent and reason for not one but two stars.

Absurdly (like, for real) expensive for a very mediocre level of service. I went to the urgency center, and i found it very useless that on every stage (reception, triage, first and second doctor) they asked me the same questions. The doctor took more than half an hour to arrive. The receptionist has misinformed me and I did a very expensive (since I’m traveling abroad) call which wasn’t necessary at that moment. Also, several times there were several people coming in at a time, also unnecessary, certainly didn’t create a feeling of comfort. The room in which I was attended was small and the door was never closed.
