This was a medical experience second to none! The administrative attention was straightforward, the medical and support staff worked as a positive, friendly, professional team, and my hip replacement went seamlessly (so far!) with great pre and post surgical support. Dr. Nguyen is an expert in his field... caring, observant, knowledgeable, efficient and professional. Going to this clinic was the perfect decision for me at a very difficult and painful point in my health.

From the very first call I made to Clinique Duval to the last wave to the nurses while getting into the car, my experience with the clinic has been extraordinarily wonderful. I underwent full knee replacement surgery at the clinic. To start at the beginning: Philomena at the reception was very helpful and caring. The nursing staff at the intake was very reassuring and efficient. At the surgery I was priviledged having the best professionals, the anesthesiologist and the surgeon, dr. Masse, and the assisting nurses. After the operation I had the best possible care. The nurses were kind, compassionate and eager to do whatever was necessary to make me comforrable. Dominique and Maria Teresa were tending to my every need, and Imane, Marie, Olga , Marlene, Sophie, and other kind nurses made sure I was well. I also commend the physiotherapy treatment by Guillome, who instructed me on postoperative exercises and activity. Dr. Masse and dr. Assayag made rounds each day after the operation to make sure recovery was going well. I stayed at the clinic for two nights after the operation. The hospital room was spacious and very clean. The food was very good and varied. I very highly recommend Clinique Duval. My surgery was the best experience.

The Total Hip Replacement at the Duval Orthopedic Clinic was the best decision I made. My initial consultation with Dr. Vendittoli was on September 24, 2021 at which time I decided to proceed with the surgery. The information provided, before and, during surgery was excellent, including a provision of a manual which also outlined the importance of pre-op exercises. My surgery was performed on October 8, 2021 and I was discharged by October 10 with the ability to walk with just a cane. The ERAS (Early Recovery After Surgery) program developed by Dr. Vendittoli and his team is amazing and hopefully will be adopted by ALL public hospitals. All the staff at the clinic were exemplary during the entire procedure. Best of all, I never experienced any pain whatsoever post surgery, no longer limp, and am able to resume my daily activities. Post surgery physiotherapy is an important factor in recovery. Thank you to Dr. Vendittoli and all his team!

Further to my first review of a Total Hip Replacement (left side), which was performed on October 08, 2021, I am adding a second review for the Total Hip Replacement (right side) performed on May 19, 2022.
The initial review stated that the left side hip replacement (October 08, 2021) was the best decision I made. The right side hip replacement (May 19,2022) was the second best decision I made.
For the right side hip replacement, once again and as previously experienced, all the excellent and important preoperative information procedures were clearly explained.
On the day of my surgery, the anesthesiologist's technique of performing a spinal block (most recent technology) vs. an epidural (for 1st surgery) was truly incredible. I did not even realize that the spinal was completed so efficiently and painlessly. The advantage of the spinal block allowed me to recover extremely quickly and within a fraction of an hour in recovery, I was transferred back to my room. Dr. Vendittoli, who also performed my first surgery, has an excellent reputation for a very good reason! My incision was only a few inches long and I am amazed at how the procedure may be performed within such a small incision.
A few hours post surgery, the physiotherapy team had me up to begin the initial exercises. Wow, I did not have ANY pain nor did I require any opioid painkillers at any time neither during my hospital stay nor at any time after my discharge. The following morning, physiotherapy continued my recovery exercises with the possibility of a discharge in the afternoon. I was now permitted to walk about with the aid of only a cane! Dr. Vendittoli, together with his team, assessed my speedy recovery and by mid afternoon I was given the green light for departure home, to where I would continue the very important post surgery physiotherapy exercises.
As I had experienced during my first surgery, the entire staff at the Duval Orthopaedic Clinic were exemplary and it was a pleasure to be a patient in this facility!
The CLSC provided physiotherapy sessions and nursing wound care, which was excellent at my recovery location. To be noted, these professionals were amazed at my recovery progress. During the first physio session (1 week post surgery) I was assessed as being at the third week post surgery recovery! Both professionals commented at the remarkable recovery difference they see between the private clinics, (in my instance, the Duval Orthopaedic Clinic) and the public system. This speedy recovery is thanks to Dr. Vendittoli and his team who developed the ERAS (Early Recovery After Surgery).
Thank you Dr. Vendittoli and your entire team who made my two Total Hip Replacements such a remarkable success. I am able to resume my active life style quickly and painlessly!

My experience with Clearpoint Surgical solutions was amazing! Its been 4 weeks post op and I am recovering as planned. The level of care and expertise I received was top notch and I would highly recommend you give them a call if you are in need.

My arrival at the clinic was a little confusing but as soon as I was in it went well. Once the IV was in it seemed like a very short time until I woke up in post op. The helpful post-op staff got me moving and eating. (Don't get the nachos) From then it seemed the key was to keep moving and healing. I was back on skis in about 14 weeks and the hip works great. Attached photo was at about 16 weeks.

The place is large and they have excellent patient care from the beginning to the end of your stay. The hospital has all types of rooms but the one I got was a junior suite and it is very nice.
The truth is that the staff is very attentive and the nurses do their work with pleasant attention, nothing rude and always very polite, the cleaning staff are also very friendly.

I had no issues, but my doctor helped with registration and with getting an accurate bill. Room was clean, nurses were all responsive, and food was good ( and they were accommodating to my preferences). If my doctor had not helped to smooth the process with registration etc.. I might have had a different experience. They also fixed the medical issue that I had so no complaints from me.

Unfortunately the hospital staff seem to have the only goal of making as much money off you as possible, recommending exams and treatments that are not needed or very, very excessive. On top of that, their professional knowledge is so poor I had a X ray technician and a doctor telling me I have a condition by which my organs are on the opposite side of where they should be because they were looking at my X rays flipped the wrong way around. In short avoid if you can!

My girlfriend went to their E.R. It took them seven hours to accommodate us. A nurse misplaced her chart adding to the delay. I understand that there is a triage system that prioritizes severe or emergency cases but waiting for the whole day is absurd. It was especially hard for us, since we are foreigners and cannot speak fluent German. Honestly, it was a horrible experience.

Dread coming here every time. It’s close to home so that I always think it will be an easy trip.
Nope. Always waiting on reception to actually show up. Spend 5-7minutes with the doctor once we actually get registered.
Takes more than hour to deal with insurance and get approval for very basic services. This is the most frustrating part. Horrid service and the people handling insurance aren’t even remotely hospitable.
What should be a short visit will take hours by the time you are done waiting for reception and insurance. Have yet to have even a remotely decent experience coming here.

I visited the emergency department recently and while the medical care was satisfactory, I was disappointed with the reception staff's lack of professionalism. Additionally, their card ATM scanner was malfunctioning, resulting in multiple declined card attempts. I had to pay in cash eventually. It was frustrating that the receptionist questioned if I had enough funds in my account, when in reality, the issue was with their machine. This interaction left me feeling uneasy, and I believe improvements in staff behaviour and equipment reliability are needed.

The doctors aren't interested even to diogonise the patients, that just seen to get rid of the patients as soon as they can.
Don't visit this unhelpful hospital. A small clinic like Badr Al Rabie is much better than these money making machines

I booked an appointment via their online platform with the Diagnostica d’imatge department, because I needed to take a MRI exam for my leg. In the online platform I uploaded my traumatology doctor’s referral where it says I should have two MRI exams taken, one in a rested state and another one after running for 20 minutes to see the difference in my muscle. I even sent the referral via email to the Diagnostica d’imatge department in order to make sure they knew about the fact that I need to make two exams and not only one. They didn’t answer to that email even though I asked for confirmation of receipt. I had no luck reaching the right department via telephone because I don’t speak Spanish or Catalan so well so I gave up on trying to get a confirmation that way. Anway, when I arrived on the day of my appointment, the secretary in the Diagnostica d'imatge department told me that I should have booked two appointments instead of one and it was a problem, but she will try her best to find a solution. I was afraid because I came to Barcelona only for this appointment (I live 3 hours away from the city). After waiting for around 20 minutes the secretary (her name was Andrea, I think) called me and confirmed that I can take the two exams one after the other right away! Eventually everything turned out well and the staff was super friendly, even when I only spoke English. Big thank you again Andrea you saved my day!! :)

Then, they also decided to check my feet as well just to make sure that everything was good. It wasn’t. I went without appointment and obviously I spent many hours there. They are busy working hard. You have to be patient, but is easy when you have such a lovely, friendly and caring staff. Thank you very much guys !!

My wife was seen by a med student, asked a few questions, came back and sent us home with exact same treatment she had been taking, telling us to come back after a few days if it didn't improve. Swedish healthcare in a nutshell. Low quality and racist doctors since free doesnt always mean better. If you dont want to die, travel to a nearby country for 21st century medicine. Also if you read the comments below foreigners all agree. Its only swedes who think their healthcare is amazing. They think that because they compare it to US and feel grateful its ”free”. If you have to wait weeks and months to see a doctor and get a proper diagnosis for even the simplest things; its not worth it and you can die, loose productivity. Its much better if its more expensive and quicker.

I had minimally invasive surgery and stayed 4 days. The nurses and doctors were all very friendly and helpful, the hospital and patient rooms were quiet, clean, and smelled fresh. I usually have a hard time sleeping in an unfamiliar place, but the hospital bed was surprisingly soft and comfortable and the nurses gave me something at night so I actually ended up getting the best sleep in years. Evening rounds came in at 10:30 PM and morning was 7:50 AM so my roommate and I got our 8-9 hours sleep and went home rested. Big thank you to all doctors and nurses at Albertinen Krankenhaus.

Came to Notaufnahme with racing heart, palpitations and chest pains with breathing issues. I wasnt sure whether it was serious enough considering how full the hospital was and i felt embarrassed to go. Nevertheless, i was treated warmly and respectfully during my long and expected wait (its an emergency room people, chances are someone is going to be sicker and more needing of help than you!) . The staff were under pressure with so many sick people and i was happy to wait. They found me room to stay overnight as the Cardiac Unit was full, and still i was treated respectfully and with dignity. I too am a foreigner, with questionable German skills but i try and found no racism as other have said. Im now in the cardiac ward and grateful that im being cared for. Still! Thankyou to lovely Notaufnahme Doctor, the Cardiac team, the nurses at 2A and also now up in 6B. Everyone has a sense of humour and are so friendly! I visited this hospital recently, and I am satisfied with the services used. Everything was smooth. Everyone was nice and helpful, from the receptionist to the nurse and people passing by.

Here is an outrageous thing that happened to us at this hospital:
My wife and I went to the hospital as she needed to be seen relatively quickly by a doctor. We asked how much it would cost and they gave us a price. We accepted, went to the waiting area, saw the doctor and went back to the counter to pay. At this point, they tell us a completely different amount (twice what they had previously quoted) and just say they made a mistake. We explained that we understood but that we wouldn't pay this new price as we based our decision on the previously quoted price... Especially since we waited 2 hours in the waiting room and they would have had the time to come and tell us it was a mistake at which point we could have decided to stay or leave. But they just did it after the fact and expected us to deal with it - I think that this is very very poor business manners. You can't quote somebody one price and then completely change after the fact and expect them to pay. Now we have just received a letter from the National Judicial system asking us for an outrageous amount of money because of this incident which was their fault in the first place. One of the worst example of how NOT to run a business.

To make appointment in this hospital is very hard. I was speaking with one person today, after 6 times calling and nobody responded!! Every time is like this. If you want to make appointment you should call in the beginning of the month, if you call after, they alreday made appointments. If you call first days in month the system is not working. The technician can't open the system?? Hey what is this??
If you can't make simple things, give the work to somebody else !!!! That's not normal.....What is working???? I need to make every month calls and calls. Worthless, they can't make for you even appointment.

Very nice people and very professional doctors at this hospital so the 2 stars are for them. I had a cut in my lip and needed stitches. The very friendly Dutch speaking doctor put in 4 stitches. Good job. But than came the bill. The treatment took 15 minutes, sedation and stitching. The bill: 1100 euro. A totally excessive amount of money for the work done. 2 Years ago I was here also for 6 stitches in my face and than I had to pay around 350 euro. There is something seriously wrong in our society if you wanna make that much money over the backs of people that need treatment. HPA, you should be ashamed. To the CEO of this place, try to look in the mirror and say out loud, 4 stitches 1100 euro, and than keep a straight face.

I have to mention specifically the nurse David de Sousa, who goes beyond his duties to make new parents feel secure. He is so helpful and always kind and highly professional.

A big scam, my girlfriend stood for just 4 hours they charged me 700€ , they said will check with my assurance and call me back , but never show up, they took more than 290€ for simple check up, while i have coverage from assurance 200€, the staffing is rude and they don t explain anything. Advice go to public hospital there they will take care of you and never ask for money.
Such a shame , they use people health to get rich

Very expensive and very unresponsive... the only hospital in Greece that doesn't send you the results of the tests if you don't ask for them or you don't go to get them yourself..! worst customer service ever

I had a constant pain in my intestine, went there and did all examinations, they told I had nothing, and I should seek psychological help.
I went to another hospital and they found I had a big polypus inside my intestine and they removed it surgically. Finally I feel releaf after 1 year of constant pain.

Thank you so much for everything you do for your patients. It was a long wait but everyone was kind and kept informing us of wait times and set expectations appropriately. It's such a tough job but you guys are really amazing. I can't say enough kind things about all of you.

Although we are in zone for Middlemore Hospital, we have travelled to the birthing unit here twice. The birthing rooms are clean and tidy. The staff are very helpful. You have your own dedicated nurse while you are in labour. The nurse does an amazing job taking care of the birthing mother throughout the entire process. There are family rooms, and tea facilities for spouses and extended family.
We also went to the Tamaki ward for after birth Care for two nights. They have sleeping arrangements available in the room for your spouse. Staff in this ward were fantastic and helpful. Again there is a family room and communal kitchen. Overall the hospital is pretty up-to-date and tidy.
My only concern is parking. The car park tends to get full quite early and the parking fees are astronomical. If you are a genuine patient, you should be offered some sort of parking subsidy.

I had and continue to receive a wonderful service. The surgeon Paul T explained the results, the next steps. His PA is prompt in responding to questions. The surgeon, PA and nursing staff are flexible, put me at ease. Never felt rushed. The facilities are what you would expect from an independent health provider. I cannot find fault with the staff as you walk off the street and the facilities.

Excellent hospital with great teamwork and service. I had knee arthroscopic meniscectomy surgery to fix my torn meniscus. Superb surgeon and anaesthetist. The hospital staff was excellent; they were friendly, helpful, and constantly available when needed.
The food they served was excellent.
A big thank you to Mr. Marston and his team, the anaesthetist, nurses, physiotherapist, and everyone that supported me during my stay.
Thank you very much for looking after me!
God Bless.

Lovely reception staff, lovely nurses and wonderfully professional consultant. Had to wait many hours for surgery without food or water but that sometimes cannot be helped, as surgery times vary so much patient to patient. Very clean with a nice waiting area too for relatives. Would recommend this hospital.

It depends on the staff you get as to how you are treated. I got barked at by the cook who I seemed to annoy as I’m lactose intolerant. The wait of 5 hours for surgery is not appreciated
