I was at the Oswaldo Cruz Vergueiro unit on 11/24/23 at 8 pm. The service was for my mother and it was reasonable, however I witnessed the arrival of a girl with an injury to her head. The family in panic with the girl on their lap. The security guard and triage nurse were so quick that I didn't even see where they came from. Nearest hospital to Incheon. Came here for emergency. Staff spoke English. Reacted fast and professionally. Never had CAT scans so quickly in my life Needed emergency medical treatment - every step of the way was handled efficiently and concern for patient care. Am an in patient. Medical facilities and rooms are very good. Staff are superb - language is an issue. But Papago helped! When it was critical they found English speakers who could explain the medical terms in English. Very impressed

Went here for my pre-departure PCR test. Absolutely terrible experience. Firstly, no medical sense to separate testing suspected cases and administrative cases. Secondly, testing is extremely slow. Registration, queuing and final tests takes about 45mins per pax. Thirdly, the testing centre is out in the open. I was freezing out in the open whilst waiting. Lastly, there seems to be no sense of urgency around this place. Highly recommend you to stay away from this hospital, especially for you PCR tests

On the other hand, an anesthetist (apparently an intern) first pricked me twice on the top of my right hand, leaving the needles which a nurse then came to remove, before pricking my left hand to finally manage to the vein. Not good at all, we can say, and particularly painful. After the procedure, both my hands remained blue, swollen and very painful for at least 4 days. This is scandalous, especially if we consider the significant excess fees charged by La Protestante on anesthesia. We had our first baby over a year ago at St. Vincent’s in Fitzroy and we had a great experience. Everyone was lovely from the nurse in the room who helped me to get ready for my c- section to the anaesthetists. I didn’t want to breastfeed and no one absolutely no one judged me or pushed me. The room was great. The care was great. Food was great and the night nurses did a wonderful job taking care of our Bub. The paediatrician was amazing and just so calm and encouraging. We are now planning to have our second baby at St. Vincent’s.

I came in for a last-minute general health check report (to support a work permit application to another country). All simple tests including urine and blood tests were comfortably completed in one afternoon. Cost was around 2.5million which is a very reasonable fee given the quality standard of service. Hospital is nice and clean and overall in good condition. International section is on 4th floor of Block C. Very easy to get to from the road entrance.

Customer service very bad. Don't want to even try and contact the insurance even if you have full international coverage. Procedures urgently need a review.
