Research, technological innovation and the efforts of medical professionals are resulting in increasingly safe, effective and personalized cancer treatments, as is the case with proton therapy . The Quirónsalud Proton Therapy Center is a space that will contribute to improving the results of cancer treatments and the quality of life of patients. The proton therapy system acquired by Quirónsalud, called Proteus One, is a unique and compact treatment system that, unlike other proton therapy systems, brings together all the necessary technology for the treatment of TKP in a single multifunctional room in a cancer center. This equipment incorporates a tumor scanning system to help the doctor apply the most appropriate dose in each area to be treated, and has the most advanced systems for taking images. In addition, the machine can rotate 220 degrees on the patient, applying the proton beam from any angle. At the Quirónsalud Proton Therapy Center we closely monitor any changes that all our patients may experience during their course of treatment. Through the images obtained before each session and repeating, at least weekly, a CT in treatment conditions. Any variation in the treatment plan is evaluated on this image. If the demanding quality standards of our Center are exceeded, a new plan is designed to adapt it to the new situation.
