staff is very friendly, everything is kept clean and sanitary. the nurses care about their patients and everything is done quickly. when we first checked how long the waiting period will be, it said 3 to 5 months, my gp sent a mail, agreeing to the waiting period, and around week later i got a letter with my appointment scheduled for 3 weeks later. very happy with all the help and support i got from the staff!

In 2021 I have give birth in this hospital. I had a horrible and traumatic experience, the staff member were not professional at all, lack of communication, 0 empathy, after 2 years I am still recovering because the experience was so traumatic. I ended with emergency C-section and total anestesy, the midwife was not comunicating with me, telling me what she is doing, nurses were always having bad attitude when I was saying I am in pain, they were like: other patients are also in pain! Also no lactation consultat was available, even though when we discussed on the phone they lied that the consultant was there. No help with lactation, because of them my baby starved for 2 day, I didn't knew how to latch and received 0 help. Basic help was not provided, my husband was helping me changing the sheets when it was too much blood, also my husband was changind the baby and everything else. When the nurse was coming they were bothered that we are disturbing them. If you have another option for giving birth, please Don,t choose this hospital. Not sure if I had this experience because I am an expat and I don't speak English, but anyhow I still have nightmares and treating the ptsd, not that they even cared to check-up on me or provide any help postpartum, so I was on my own.

I went to this clinic for an emergency case and an ent (ear, nose and throat) doctor saw my ear and gave me an ear drop with a nose one. The staff was very friendly and helped me with English speaking. They even have the registration form in different languages. Great.

Worst emergency experience ever. Come here with my friend with breath problem. Waited 5 hours until he almost fainted, then they gave him ibuprofen and didn’t try to find real problem. Today my father was discharged from the internal ward for a pulmonary embolism. What he experienced there with the cleaners is simply unfathomable. Rude, arrogant, humanity means nothing to them. They raised their voices at the patients, ran into the room in the morning with such a roar, with the intention of waking them up, and even when that didn't help, they shouted at my father that hey hey hey we're building. My father, who is seriously ill on the devices, should have been sober and not put up with such inappropriate behavior of the cleaning ladies. It seems that they consider themselves to be of a higher caste, because what they allow themselves to do to patients is unparalleled. Unfortunately, they spoil the good name of the hospital. Someone competent should sort things out with them and order a course in empathy and, above all, decent behavior.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the emergency room staff and especially with the approach of the nurses. My son had a coughing fit, I rang the bell about 5 times and no one answered. After 20 minutes, the nurse came out and was quite unpleasant. It would probably be possible to complete training on empathy towards patients and family members. . An unknown number of people wait for a CT scan at the orthopedic clinic. I couldn't do it even after two days and 7.5 hours of waiting. There is total chaos here during the reception of patients. "internal" Some patients are tied to the bed. They don't give them anything to drink, eat, anything... they give the patients crap... this hospital is a death factory. On the day of discharge, when the patients are supposed to go home, they are fine in the morning, but in the afternoon they are unrecognizable when picked up. After discharge, in the report, they are supposed to give home medicine equipment for the patient for 3 days....they give empty containers. Apparently, this is how the insurance company makes money... the hospital charges for something it doesn't even give. At the time of the spread of the coronavirus, no nurse even uses a mask and in the isolation room where there is covid I do not use protective suits... now I also caught covid from the hospital. If I don't have empathy and feeling for people.....get the hell out of the job! Went to the emergency and had to wait 4 hours! I was in the most pain of my life and instead of giving me priority, they simply didn’t care. After the absurd wait I was given TWO pills which one of them I vomited after. Worst experience ever!

A fractured my feet 2 days ago. I thought it was my ankle on the side, That’s what I told them, they checked it and it was good. Then, they also decided to check my feet as well just to make sure that everything was good. It wasn’t. I went without appointment and obviously I spent many hours there. They are busy working hard. You have to be patient, but is easy when you have such a lovely, friendly and caring staff. Thank you very much guys !!

After 2 hour wait after check in (no other patient in the er) we realized they had completely forgot about us. terrible intestinal pain, swelling, for days. My wife was seen by a med student, asked a few questions, came back and sent us home with exact same treatment she had been taking, telling us to come back after a few days if it didn't improve. It's been 4 days, we are at the ER in Brussels, it's worse, none of their recommendations worked. We just received the bill: 450 euros for a 10 min conversation with a couple incompetent med students. Shameful.

i went for my yearly check but was told it cant be done if i do not have one of the 3Gs. i was told to get another appointment although the hospital websites states otherwise.

Every time I go there there is a different doctor. This time she spend most of the time typing away and looking at the computer. She was friendly but I got nowhere. For the past two years it's always the same. I have severe pain in my back and a few other parts but it's always a complete waist of time.

On 21.01.2023 I had broken my arm. I paid 4000 krons to this hospital but till now I dont get my Bill so I can get this money from my insurance.

Visited here on 13th March 2023 as my mum had wrist fracture. Overall it was a good experience. Dr Dana and her team, emergency department staff and x-ray staff were very professional and helpful. They did tell us where to make the payment. However, the amount to be paid was a bit confusing. Regardless of what the doctors did, the amount were the same for the first day and following day. If you need immediate assistance, go to their emergency department (legevakt) instead of the main entrance. Search for "Tromsø kommunale legevakt" on Google map.

During the vacation I had some complications with my pregnancy and I had to go to the hospital urgently. The waiting time was less than 30 minutes. In Belgium, sometimes it can take 3 hours, it depends on the problem. I was hospitalized at the gynecology department. The staff was very nice, very caring. The majority speak English very well. We had to drive to the 24/7 dental clinic because in the neighborhood was no other options. Surprised of how many people was in waiting line for emergency help. We didn’t he’d other chance just wait... cca 6 prs before us and we are after 2 hours not inn. The building and whole complex is huge much bigger as we thought 💭. The people in this hospital were extremely kind and helpful. The hospital is clean, nice and professional. They took good care of my daughter who was in a life threatening condition during our vacation.

Highly corrupted. A patient who can't be taken care at home, because of really bad conditions which needs healthcare specialists and a proper environment with all the tools available to keep them alive, was refused to be admitted here because he was sick with cancer and they said "we can't take care of him here, just a serum and he can get out". The patient of course needed to stay there until everything was resolved. It was weekend, and Oncology Emergency does not work on weekends so they told us to keep him alive at home. We are not professionals doctors/nurseries, we have no specialised environment in home to take care of a person in such conditions and of course the idea was absurd. After asking around, snitching in, they asked us to pay and corrupt some people so we can get him admitted in this Mother Teresa Hospital emergency. After few days our family member died, but the way we had to say goodbye to him was very degraded. We had to pay to keep the nurseries around for him, to keep the cleaners around, to enter and say something to him every now and then, to get the doctor to check him every now and then. And we slept few nights outside in the cold, in turns, because there is no normal way to support such patients in such a structure. Overall I thought to share our story, maybe I have made some mistakes in my writing due to emotions, but this is the reality in this place. And it has not changed! HIghly corrupted, no one cares unless you pay them and still you get worst quality treatments ever!

This place is corrupted, as most of the public health structures in Albania. The doctors refuse to see the patient unles you give them some pocket money. People need to go up and down for days to get a medics appointment and at the said day they ask you to go and run some tests at the private hospitals/clinics with which the doctors are connected to. (no prior indications on what tests the patient needs to present to the doctor). They even say it to your face, unles you run the tests where they say, they won't accept you as a patient. This country is going down and those who work in the medicine are becoming even more SHAMELESS! Looks like they took the HYPOCRITE oath instead of Hippocratic one.
