Chronic pain treatment in 585 Neurosurgery and Oncology clinics worldwide

A family member had surgery a few days! At de financial desk, I paid the amount that they charged! I asked, with this payment, all medical services are covered! They said Yes!! After 24 hrs, my family member was ready to check out! The nurse's desk told me that I need to go to the financial desk to pay, before the patient can go! I was upset, due to the fact I paid enough for 24 hrs! They told me that all services such as: gloves, medications, Hygiene, food, etc, have to be paid! This hospital is old! I paid more than I should have! My recommendation is, not to use this hospital Climic Catolic

Very good service and support. I called them one day before for an appointment. Nex day At 11 am I met the doctor (on time!). Very good conversation in english, very fast service. You have to pay in advance. People were very friendly and helpful! Appointment costs about 80 dollars, other things on demand. you can pay by credit card easily. i highly recommend the clinic.

Our children's pediatrician, Dr. Nora Padron sees them here. She has been their doctor since they were born. There is no other pediatrician anywhere that can measure up to this great, kind, caring and thoroughly knowledgeable professional.

I don't know why there are no cameras in the hospital. At least in the nurses' room. Every time I went to the pediatric emergency room the same thing happened. Nurses talking about personal matters, laughing loudly, as if they were in a bar. And when we make any requests, they are rude, rude and even mocking. I spent 14 hours there with my 3-year-old son. I didn't even see hygiene (the minimum expected in a hospital). Sheets used by patients the night before were left on the chair (until the time I left, they were still there). Children with infectious diseases (gastroenteritis, severe flu...) were discharged and the seats were not sanitized. They directed me to the resting chair, when I sat down I felt something dripping on me. It was the nebulizing mask that a child had worn during the night. I myself had to sanitize the armchair my son was in. Holding him with one hand and rubbing alcohol with the other. Chaos. I filed a complaint with the ombudsman and to this day I have not received a response. I will formalize a new complaint with the ANS with photos and videos.

I think this hospital is great, I had 2 surgery there. I am from United States. The Dr used was Dr luis Eduardo Barbosa. His staff was excellent. The front desk at check in very professional. Then I was brought to a room to change and then to the OR. woke up in recovery and was feed food and released in the morning. Parking was easy. Hospital was clean, looked up to date. Excellent experience there.

If you ever need to go to hospital I suggest you don't go to this one, one of the worse hospitals in Perth. 1. My grandmother was dying in hospital so naturally all of her family were there to be with her for her last breaths, the staff were rude and wouldn't let us all be with her, these were the last moments we will never get back. Thanks for your compassion Fiona Stanley. 2. My dad had triple bypass surgery after waiting one or two weeks for one of the best open heart surgeons. Surgery all went well apparently. One week after, the hospital called my family to say he was being discharged, my mum and sister got there and the paper work wasn't ready and said they could post it out so they didn't have to wait any longer, which is all fine but... No doctor came to see my family to let them know what kind of care my dad would need or any other information necessary for when he's home. Two days later he died. What was the point for the government in spending so much money on surgeons when patients of major surgery get kicked out of the beds too soon and left to fend for themselves?! The lack of care and compassion for patients and their families is disgusting, I really hope this hospital gets better for the sake of the people of Perth.

The medical support is great. However, more cultural awareness trainings are needed for some of the staff. For the 1st time, today, I've heard a very inappropriate conversation which could negatively affect patients of certain background. I've reported the incident to the Dr in duty who I hope will take care of it for a better well-being of the hospital patients and staff

I gave birth via c section because my son my breech and the whole team were amazing. I felt so comfortable through the whole process. They talked us through everything they were doing as it was happening and our son arrived happy and healthy. We received the best care in the days after giving birth, I couldn't fault the team. Every appointment I had throughout my pregnancy was amazing. As a first time mammy, it was a lovely experience.

Sorry, tragedy. My daughter had a car accident on Thursday, she didn't go to the doctor because she said she felt fine, on Friday my chest started hurting and she felt worse, we went to the emergency room but they sent me to the family doctor even though it was Friday evening and the family doctor would be able to see me only on Monday. There are no words for all this.

Orthopedic Department. I have just visited this department and I am very positively surprised. The nurses were nice and friendly, always with a smile on their faces, I felt like I was in a private clinic. The doctors were also reliable and took care of the patient and explained everything thoroughly. I was shocked that a hospital under the National Health Fund could function this way. I recommend

Palliative ward ... as it was 17 years ago, so it is today ... nurses with no care, despite the fact that people lying there press the button they have .... The head physician, despite questions about the course of treatment, gives evasive answers .... the person has a large dose of oxygen to she could breathe normally .... The head physician said that the dose of oxygen should be reduced .... after 4 hours no one checked anything about the patient .... when we arrived after 4 hours the person we came to and took care of was suffocating because she had no oxygen .... THE DYING ROOM is the Pleszew hospital after 24 hours DEATH ... Totally zero when it comes to care in this department.

Wow, amazingly friendly and very helpful staff at all 3 reception desks (A&E, Urgent Treatment and the general receptiondesk in-between the two), they all know their job/role and were incredibly efficient. Once we found where we were going there was little time to wait as the attentive staff team followed procedures and helped my friend. If I ever need a good hospital in the future I hope I'm close to this one. Thank you to all the staff at all levels. Keep up the great work. 👍 😊

Here today, wednesday 29th November 2023, in St Mary's for day surgery and being looked after wonderfully....absolutely nothing is too much trouble! Staff are so friendly...thankyou Debs and everyone involved for looking after me...you are all a huge credit to the NHS and have made me feel so very relaxed and at ease. For the first time in a long time. I felt like I was listening to the happiest news of something not so good. But after going to AE 4 weekends in a row. Seen the specialist and they are appalled that treated this way and now caused long term irreversible problems.. so if it wasn't for someone listening to me st Mary's would have had 1 star.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. Arriving at midnight after a workplace incident they adequately took details and then immediately took me through. The staff member was very courteous and reassuring throughout my treatment.

A big thank you to all the staff for looking after my husband. You have done a wonderful job, from the orderlies, food staff, cleaners, nurses and doctors. Everyone has been so kind and caring. Thanks again from all of us.

A beautiful modern hospital with modern fixtures a mall-like atmosphere. The main thoroughfare is lovely but some waiting rooms are small and the multi-stage waiting room system often seems somewhat unnecessary as it is less efficient now that you are unable to check yourself in for an appointment. Instead, you still have to line up to speak with a receptionist - just like you did at the old hospital. The outdoor plaza and the garden areas are a nice touch; hosting community events and providing patients with some much needed respite, and fresh air.

Worst ER I have seen, the nurses show zero compassion, waiting time is endless, no proper process for taking patients in is in place, not clean, every time I go there’s blood on the floor which is not cleaned right away. People are left to die, some bleeding some in pain & no one cares. Twice now that I go & I wait hours even before I make it to Triage to get my information taken & i end up leaving.

I was delighted with the treatment I got at Joe Brant last Wednesday, the 18th of October. I arrived around 4PM with a finger I had cut off (I had it with me) and one that was basically dangling. It was a table saw accident. I was greeted immediately and directed to the waiting room. I did have to ask if they should put my finger on ice with the hopes it could be reattached. That was done. The triage nurse was great (sorry, I didn’t get her name) and the person who wrapped my hand the first time equally as great. I eventually got to the back (it was a busy time) and Dr. Terry Hatch came in and assessed my fingers. He told me exactly what was happening and what was going to happen. And then set the wheels in motion. I was re bandaged, sent for X rays given tetanus shots, and then Dr. Hatch came back in and began to work on shaving the bone etc and stitching up my fingers. It was decided that the one would not be reattached, but the other one was to be repaired. I felt very well looked after by the main nurse assigned to me, Dr. Hatch and pretty much everyone else. Dr. Hatch was calm, professional, pleasant and excelled at what he did. All my questions were answered simply and calmly, no matter how silly they may have been. I had some prescriptions for pain and antibiotics, and a referral for an appointment for a plastic surgeon (follow up) before I left. I can’t say enough about Dr. Hatch and the nursing team in Emergency. Thank you so much for what you do, and the way you do it. David

Had the greatest if you can say at the ER today. Great people, hard working. Taking care of the sick. Me included. Nurses were awesome, triage fast and friendly. Extremely disrespectful nurse, talking loud where I am able to hear what she is saying, and I can hear the patient or family member telling her to calm down. Instead she was more concerned about being right as opposed to provide empathy, care and concentrating on the wellbeing of the patient. What I witnessed in the lobby on Sunday November 26th, made me embarrassed and uncomfortable and hope that my family is not seen by this nurse. She is a bully and knows she can get away with it. Slamming the door on a patient’s family, makes me sick to my stomach. Not listening to a patient in distress, is lacking skills as a nurse. I will report this with the department of health in France.

We had a really positive experience with this hospital. As Australians visiting who don’t speak French, I needed a bit of a guarantee to find a hospital where they could speak English. We’d been to another hospital and unfortunately the treatment didn’t help my husbands condition. He was seen quite promptly by a Dr and then a Specialist at the American Hospital and was provided with medication which thankfully started assisting. I think we were in and out within a couple of hours and the cost was surprisingly low that there’s not really any need to claim it back on insurance. I’m glad we found this hospital as we may have needed to cut our holiday short and fly home. Big thank you to all the staff there.

Thanks to the American hospital we obtained a speedy appointment for my mother. Top geriatric specialist, friendly staff. Some reviewers should go to some - not all - public hospitals .Lovely service, charming receptionists. Our specialist was flexible with appointment time despite us being delayed by transport. It is a bit costly but doctors do take time. Some very specific scans were covered by the French Social Security scheme though. I don’t know all departments but twice we had premium service and care. And finally, my mother was diagnosed accurately and treatment was put in place. With very elderly and incapacitated patients free wheelchairs are available. Porters and valet service staff are helpful. This makes a huge difference on arrival by medical taxi. No hospital is perfect and one is bound to encounter below par staff. And yes, France has a general shortage of medical staff, private or public… Eric Levéel

If I could give zero star I would. This is for the emergency service. I woke up this morning with pain in my right hip joint that gradually got worse to the point where I could not sit, bend over, or walk. I could only use the toilet standing up, and could not make any movement from that hip joint and leg at all. My whole leg would feel numb when attempting to walk. Around 10 pm the pain got so bad, I almost called the ambulance. I have been a nurse for 9 years in the hospital setting, I know something is very wrong. I took some pain medications and laid down for 4 hours to have the pain decrease enough to go to the hospital. Thankfully this hospital is across the street for me, so I thought I would use the little strength I had to walk over and be taken care of. The lady at the desk looked at me, checked me in, then called me back up to tell me the doctor will not see me because it is not an emergency. And gave me a list of doctors offices that I could go to. I was not given the decency to be seen or assessed by a doctor, or even a nurse. My hip literally feels like I have dislocated it. What is the sense of going to a doctor’s office when they don’t have xray or any imaging machines? This hospital/ and it’s staff should be ashamed of itself. I would not recommend anyone going here. You will not be taken seriously. I work at Erasmus MC, it is further away, but I will try my luck there in the morning. PS: I just moved to Netherlands a week and a half ago, and started work a week ago. My insurance has not yet been activated but I explained that I could pay out of pocket and had no issues doing so. I would like not to think this could have been a reason I was turned away. But my interaction with the receptionist and the questions she placed emphasis on has left me wondering.

My mother became ill while we were traveling in Italy. Our tour guide sent us to Salvatore Mundi where my mother received excellent care. Y the staff, nurses and doctor. They took care of her right away and the costs of tests, medicine and a private room on a virtually private floor cost a mere $16! Wish we had that type of care and cost here in the States.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DO NOT COME HERE. I had a terrible experience at SMIH. I thought that I would be in good care as the embassy and my university recommend them as the best place to go while abroad in Rome. I had little to no translators the entire time and was very confused as to what I was being given and uncomfortable about it in all honesty. I have NO privacy at all in my room as nurses would come barging in whenever they needed to without a knock which was also very uncomfortable to me. They did not accommodate to me and I had to practically beg for water and help as my fever started to rise. They were also not helpful when I called translators to help me during the process. The nurses were very vague and rude. I used the best Italian I could and would use google translate to help me with the rest and it still unfortunately not good enough. I was fortunate enough to find a Spanish speaking nurse and it was the first time I had some form of comfort. The main doctor seeing me only saw me once and it was an u pleasant visit as it was just to scold me for wanting to leave. Then when I finally was able to be discharged the nurses and staff were rude, did not give me my diagnosis, my results, follow up or discharge papers. They literally told me “no go home”. Already being frustrated with the treatment I received, alone and confused being in a completely different country trying to revive help I did as they said and just left. Which then later caused me a lot of issues when trying to revive help else where.

I had an injury in my head. I went there and you have to know French. People that helped me did not speak nor English neither Spanish. But the attention was good

NURSES BEHAVE VERY BADLY IN EVERY INSTANCE. DURING CHANGING OF ROOM THEY DONOT GIVE ME A MINUTE TO PREARE MYSELF FOR CHANGING. THEY DONOT TAKE CARE AND ARE VERY RUDE. THEY JUST DONOT CARE. What a fantastic ER and 1st floor ICU staff. We cannot thank them enough for the care they provided to their patients and address the patients' family's concern. My 80 years old dad that was brought to the ER from another facility in a critical condition and Dr. Mole from the ER provided great care and took the time to call us to give updates. When my dad was shift to the ICU under Dr. Tiu's care she was very easy to talk to. She called us daily to report on my dad's health status. We are so grateful to the doctors, nurses for the amazing care they provide their patients especially given the pandemic. They listen to the families concerns, suggestions when we advocate for our dear ones. They work as a team with the family to help the patient. Thank you for your hard work, dedication and care.

It supposed to be the best Hospital in the Sultanate. Despite all the expertise and the best facilities as well as state of the art equipments. Still the outcome is not as good as it supposed to be. In order to ensure that the best services are provided the management should spend more time in the field rather than sitting in the offices.

We booked a private room for 20 rial a day and 100 rial deposit. The room is around 18m2 (6*3). Contains a bathroom a fridge and a small extra bed. Its located just beside the normal admission beds. The price is a bit high for the room but there was no other options.

They should burn this place and build a real hospital with real doctors. If you enter this hospital on a holiday, you will be left to die.

The international clients WhatsApp line is the worst I have experienced within the business in Medellin. I was trying to get an appointment for an MRI and responses were just like automatic system that left you for hours with no responses. If you call nobody answers. When finally someone responds your multiple messages, leaves again with no answers. I never expected such a poor service from such a reputable institution. I started around 10:00 AM and at 2:48 PM still wasn't able to get any availability for the appointment. I told them never mind and they respond to that message at 5:35 PM! I understand if the people is to busy, but so that means they need to hire more people for the job.

I paid for an Antigen COVID test and haven't received the results from the examination even as they promised to send them within 3 hours to my email address and provide access on there website! On requests I couldn't reach anyone. Thats fraud and should be a 0 Star Rating!

That day they had the refrigeration at a very low temperature making it uncomfortable to wait for the doctor's attention.

Good service from the staff, but it is very slow. They should make the way they serve donors more agile, something that is not so easy to achieve.

It was a great experience! From the gate to medical care, I was treated very well. Initially, I received information that the expected wait would be two hours and I decided to stay calm, settle in and wait. The important thing was to have already gotten there. After all, everything that seems bad can certainly get worse! So, everything worked out! The doctor on duty is super TOP, attentive, very assertive for her young age. The nursing technician Arnaldo with the hand of an angel that I didn't even feel the discomfort of access. For the laboratory exam I was seen by Jefferson and when I thought it was going to be horrible, he was already done!🫠 The doctor who took the shift and discharged me was also great!!! I went to the hospital a few times, both for consultation and emergency. What I can say is that the Hospital is very organized, has very well trained staff, I have always received very good service on the phone. I saw a lot of people criticizing here and I decided to tell my positive experience, it doesn't mean that I didn't encounter problems, such as a consultation that took 2 hours to wait, but in this case it was an isolated professional, I don't believe that the hospital itself is bad, but Like everywhere, there are good people and others not. The rating I give is 5 stars, as most of the staff are attentive, careful and the structure is excellent! In short, Hospital Santa Joana is of excellent quality, has very well-trained staff, they answer the phone and answer your questions very carefully. I attributed my bad waiting experience to a specific doctor, the others were excellent, so a very good hospital, congratulations!

I had to take my 3 year old daughter to the pediatric emergency room and unfortunately I experienced racism from the first contact with the doctor asking me if I was the mother, because my daughter was white. I've never seen a children's professional not interacting with the child, not conditioning, nothing... Super rude, cold, indifferent. I observed her serving a white family and it was totally different. I felt violated. I don't recommend Santa Joana!

Long story short 🙂: I had a couple of surgeries on both hip joints when I was one year old. Everything went well at that time, living with the thought that the problem was solved forever, enjoying the outdoor activities I wanted to do. But I was wrong. The day when I started feeling pain in my right hip joint which has also reflected on my walking mobility was the life challenge I didn't ask for. It was not the way I was imaging my life further, pills were not helping a lot, the only way out was the surgery (hip replacement). As I am not Slovak, at first it was hard for me to decide where to do it, here or go home, you know so many things to take into consideration including the care after surgery especially if you do not have any family member beside you. I did search on net and found this clinic which took my attention as potential one based on all the info and patient testimonials I read. Fortunately, the orthopedist MUDr. Jozef Vojtaššák, PhD who did all my examinations advised me that this is the clinic where he is performing the surgeries. And actually this was the decisive piece for my dilemma. Today, after 15 days from the successful surgery I am happy that I feel the difference and for this nice feeling I would like sincerely to thank MUDr. Jozef Vojtaššák, PhD for his professional and caring approach, for all his support, advises and answers to my million questions, to all nurses and physiotherapists from the Clinica Orthopedica and Spine Clinic for their unconditional care, patience, friendly approach and kindness who made my two weeks stay in the clinic like home.Looking back now, it was maybe fast but definitely right decision to make, not regretting at all, thankful and grateful to the whole medical team who has for sure overachieved my expectations. Excellent clinic, very professional, very well organized. My wife had a serious knee injury, surgery seemed to be inescapable, but the doctor made the utmost to avoid it, excellent diagnostic, took time to look into it and decision taken to go the conservative way. 02/15/2021 was at the clinic, 02/18/2021 has already been operated on!!! To say that I am happy is beyond words! So many years of torment and wandering around doctors either refused or did not give any encouraging forecasts even in the most famous clinics in the country !!! Myopia - 10.5, large astigmatism, cataracts, bad cornea. And now the miracle doctor Armen Andranikovich Ginoyan is a genius, a magician, a jeweler and just a warm-hearted person!!! Gave me back my sight and a new life!!! Everyone before him predicted a difficult rehabilitation for me within six months. But I see and feel great on the second day!!! No discomfort The operated eye feels better than before the operation!!! I walk without dark glasses, my eyes do not water in the sun. I cry only from happiness that we have such talented people and kind hearts in our country!!! I pray to God that he be happy and healthy and that his golden hands could help so many hopeless people!!! In general, the entire staff of the clinic is an amazing collection of talented generous people, starting from the administrator and nurses!!! Cozy homely, calm, family atmosphere. Throughout the operation, I felt the support and warm hands of doctors and nurses. I noticed that people in wheelchairs come there from all over the world and all with deep gratitude to the doctors!!! I could write many more words of impressions and gratitude, but I cannot express in any words what I feel now, what joy !!! At my dad's request I am leaving this review. As a result of long and intense work at the computer, as well as for age-related reasons, my dad’s eyesight deteriorated significantly. By the time of contacting the MedElect clinic to A.A. For Ginoyan, my dad’s initial situation with his eyes looked like this. Left eye: myopia -5.5 diopters, early stage of cataract. Right eye: -9.5 diopters, cataract. Dad was amazed and very pleased by the thoroughness and comprehensiveness of the study of the initial state of the eyes using various equipment (even a tomography of each eye was carried out!..). As a result of this detailed, but very quick examination, naturally, it was possible to accurately determine the choice of diopters and the type of artificial lenses (monofocal lenses were chosen). First, surgery was performed on the right eye, and 1 month later on the left. The teamwork and coordination of the entire operating team, the experience and skill of the surgeon are at their best - A.A. Ginoyan. I was surprised by the attention even to such a small detail: a special cushion was placed under the knees of the person being operated on, which made being on the operating table very comfortable. The operations themselves were absolutely painless and did not take long (about 10-15 minutes for each eye). After the operation, my father became farsighted, but at the same time retained the ability to work at the computer without glasses. Even after all the operations A.A. Ginoyan did not leave my father without attention: he monitored the condition of his eyes in detail and the dynamics of possible changes. Many thanks to A.A. While I appreciated the procedure being done my beef is this places billing department only affords you 6 months to pay your balance. So even tho I have insurance through my place of employment and reached my déductible prior to surgery, and even though I have been making payments monthly for the remaining 20% ... if my balance isn't paid in full within 6 months their "policy" is to send it to collections. Now I was offered 'financial assistance' IF I submit two or three years of taxes, plus several paycheck stucs. (So basically all of my personal information) which is not only time consuming but also invasive. I'm just a single gal trying to make ends meet. I needed the surgery to prevent further complications down the road so I elected to have it done. Perhaps I missed information prior to getting the surgery? But I NEVER thought that even though I am paying monthly a fair amount towards the remaining balance that I would STILL be threatened with having it go to collections. And just for that reason I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Period

The Nurses, CNAs, PTs, & Staff were all AMAZING!!! My mom had knee surgery a week ago and our experience there was great!! Everyone was kind and helpful from admission to post op. I can’t remember everyone’s names but I did take some down! We loved how kind and helpful her nurse Kaylani was!!! The most important part to us was having a Spanish speaking nurse on staff. My mom only speaks Spanish and it was so comforting to us knowing at night she was left with someone she could understand and communicate with! Thank you to Josephina and Nasthja for taking such good care of my mom! The physical therapist, Ruth is incredible!!! My mom adored her and made us feel confident about taking her home!! Special thank you to KASS, CNA!!!! She provides excellent patient care. Spine and Joint hospital provided quality care!

Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital gave me outstanding service and care during my stay. I would also like to thank Dr. T, his wife Kate, and Dr. Kralik for their great skills and knowledge. I'm so thankful my wife and I found these skilled surgeons. I had my total hip replacement surgery here six days ago and everything went great. Dr.Ravnihar is great and he took his time to make everything perfect for me. His staff at B2 ward is full of love for patients and find it not hard to do their job. One more thing that was very good to me. Food at this hospital is excelent and some restaurants might be envy of the cook here. All in all,if you need some joint replaced,come here and you will not be dissapointed.
