Unfortunately, I have to state that the approach at the aftercare center is absolutely disastrous. Obnoxious nurses, leaving patients in their own feces for many hours (really many hours), arrogance, blaming patients for their own condition (diarrhea, inflammation), huge stench throughout the ward. Patients are afraid of nurses, my grandmother developed a stress condition from defecation and was afraid to eat. If you love your loved ones, don't put them there - the elderly, sick and immobile people are at serious risk of death there. A large part of this state is borne by the extreme level of employees (the existing ones are exhausted, demotivated, overworked and without empathy).
My opinion: send a consistent, random check(s) there and, based on the results, possibly close the entire department and remove the title from Mr. Mayor

I was on the 4th floor in acute neurology with pain with a herniated disc.
I understand that they can't keep me there for more than 10 days, but instead of helping me with that, they gave me medicines like aulin and zaldiar, which I could easily take at home. They didn't do a CT scan or an X-ray, they just didn't do anything..
And they let me go home, even though my back hurt like hell and they didn't care at all, they just wrote me to take zaldiar at home.. And they said that it hurts only because the cold front (weather) is coming.
OK thanks to this I know that next time I won't Privamed.

BEWARE: Don’t send your family here and if Dr.Simon of Lakeview is the doctor get another doctor. Keep my brother on restraint and lots of medication and keep him in ICU
My brother was sent here without our consent on 10/16/2023, plus we had informed admissions there and Lakeview case manager that he was not to come there by any means necessary weeks before the 16th. My brother was sent Monday and family had no idea & died that Tuesday morning about 6am.No one has reached out to the family to explain what happened and why he was sent there. What Rea happened at Pam Rehab ? I have been calling Scott with Pam , want call back . Also been calling Gretchen with Lakeview No answer and will not return calls. We just want to know what happened. Answers , but look like a cover up is happening here.

Pam was indeed a life saving facility for my husband. After suffering a severe stroke leaving him paralyzed on one side PAM took him into their Ltac unit where with their professional, knowledgeable and caring team got him to the point that he was moved to the rehab unit. There the team worked daily to get him started back on the road to an independent life. All the team from the front desk, front office, maintenance personnel, especially the nurses, therapist, aides and PA Lisa made us feel like family. We are forever grateful for our time there.

They are all amazing then and now I’m back with second surgery . I was asked if I wanted home health nurse and i said”NO”that I wanted to go back to wound care. They are amazing I would highly recommend to anyone to go there. From the receptionist, the staff and everyone there , all are friendly and professional.

Post Acute Medical took excellent care of my mom. From the staff that greeted you, to the nurses, doctors, food service workers, nursing assistants and the front office staff, they were always willing to help and assist in any way. The facility is so clean. The case workers stayed in communication with me on a daily basis, and were so kind and patient with all the questions I had. Thank you all for taking care of my mom and helping her get the care she needed. It’s about the human connection and spirit that helps people heal. PAM’s staff had that plus more! Thanks again!

My husband was recently placed at PAM and released to North Oaks Rehab for further treatment. The outstanding treatment he received at PAM by all their staff was absolutely the best in health care. Due to his medical issues, he has unfortunately been a patient at many health care facilities. PAM offered and delivered the best care we have received in the region. The staff, from the nurses, nurse practitioners, CNAs, occupational therapists, physical therapists, housekeepers, our case manager, our patient advocate and the kitchen staff were all courteous, knowledgeable, and took care of my husband as though he was family! A great big thank you to the following: Brittany, Danny, Adam, Marissa, Leslie, Abby, Carly, Shelbie, Catherine, Paula, Paige, Lacey, Bonnie, Abby, Laurie, Angelica, Precious, and for all of you who treated my husband with such dignity and respect and for giving him the best care he has ever received while away from home.

If I could give zero stars I would. My mother had a knee replacement three weeks ago. Today was her first day to go to this rehab facility. The therapist got onto her (rather rudely) and said "she doesnt need to be a hero and should still be on a Walker!" Then he proceeded to give her two exercises to do. These were the same two exercises she was doing the day after surgery. She came home in tears and defeated.
Both her physical therapist at my home and her surgeon said she is doing excellent with recovery and healing. It is so sad that this individual is still practicing and hindering healing on others.

Overall I never got clear communication. They never made us gown up knowing my mom was contagious. I asked for certain tests to be done and they never listened or called not even a physician. My mom would be screaming in pain due to her condition and they just acted like she was crazy. I can’t go into much detail without just being extremely upset. The nurses would talk so badly and you could hear them. I feel like my mom may have had a chance to live if she had been placed in better hands but they neglected her didn’t even do the tests they were supposed to and a nutritionist never called till right before she back to the hospital to be put in ICU and by then her infection spread more and went to her spine. Very sad. My mom spent over 45 years saving lives and serving as a nurse only to be treated badly and neglected.i forgot to add when my mom got readmitted she was filthy and the nurses in icu bathed her I never saw her once get cleaned up at Pam or even her hair fixed. She deteriorated so badly there and this was just a few months ago so please if you love your friends and family don’t send them here unless you never want to see them again.

If you want your loved one to die send them here. The hospital is not interested in creating policies that keep their patients safe. 95% of the nurses are incompetent and have no business being licensed by Texas or any state for that matter. Oscar Brownlee- Chief Nursing Officer and Vanessa Smith- Nurse Manager lack the follow through to keep any patient safe. They are both very nice and respectful but they care more about customer service as opposed to patient safety. They allow potentially fatal mistakes to continually happen without consequences. Kim Aguedo- Quality director is 100% incompetent. I don’t think she has any notion of how to take care of a patient. This is evident in her policy implementation. Nothing she implements makes an ounce of sense. I looked Kim up on the Texas Board of Nursing website and she does not show up as a licensed nurse. Would you want someone making decisions about how your loved one is taken care of? Someone who has never taken care of a patient? Maybe her license is listed under an alternate name or a different state. Steer clear of this facility at all cost. It really is an unsafe environment.
Disclaimer-
This is insider information so do with it what you will. I’m sure Post Acute Medical will attempt to discredit this post and someone will respond by saying I am disgruntled. But nothing I’ve said is untrue. I have worked for this company for a total of about a year and 3months. During this time I have seen so much flagrant disregard for policy and Management do nothing about it. I am not disgruntled, I am relieved that I no longer have to worry about being liable for other employees who are not interested in following policy.

The building is a little old and has a few maintenance issues but the staff here is incredible. My day nurse Brandy is absolutely amazing. She goes above and beyond to make sure your stay here is the best experience you can possibly have. Her bedside manner is absolutely amazing. Brandy is very knowledgeable and does her absolute best to keep you comfortable and very well taken care of.
My night nurse Heather is absolutely amazing as well. They both go above and beyond to make your stay here the best it can be. The nurse techs are very kind and gentle and try their very best to do everything in a timely manor,…. I would like to add that nurse Dawn is an absolutely amazing person and nurse who takes amazing care of her patients and isn’t afraid to go above and beyond to make her patients feel like friends or family and be as comfortable as they can be. She’s very smart and nice and considerate. You need more nurses like her and lots more techs like Teressa and Alyssa. They are I mean there isn’t words to describe how good these ladies are at their jobs and how well they take care of me even when they are short staffed…..
Summer and Cam are absolutely amazing techs. They are fast to answer the call light and are very caring and affectionate people. They are amazing at making sure you are comfortable and having everything you need and want. I believe every one of the techs should have to work a few shifts with these two ladies just so they know how to have great bedside manner and great people skills as well as do the job proudly and professionally.

I wanted to take my time with this review, as the nurses here at PAM are ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Shout out to Miss Kaitlin, Miss Rachel, Miss Loree, Miss Carolyn, Miss Elise, Miss Kim, Miss Christina, Miss Becky, Miss Mayra, Miss Emma and Miss Maygon, who from my experience happen to be the best in wound care! There is more to wound care than just slapping a band aid on your boo-boo... These ladies by their presence, bring an atmosphere of healing and wellness, joy and mirth, plus I must mention that they truly care for their patients! It really was the highlight of my day to be seen and treated by these ladies! Although I am older than them all, I called them all "Miss" as I felt that they should be treated with respect. These ladies aren't just some fly-by-night candy stripers, but very knowledgeable, positive, professional women, who placed me onto their schedule, and with The Lord Jesus' healing power, took care of my body! I really feel as though I were family by the way I was treated. I came in with an unresponsive wound which gave another facility fits, and these ladies just laughed at it, took control of it and treated me without blinking! I am healed today by The Lord's grace and these women doing what they do. I came in a little under the weather, and these women showed genuine concern, even having Miss Jessica call to check up on me! I was impressed... even more so when I had surgery while under their care, and these women of PAM took care of that as well! I have so much confidence in these nurses, that if my arm is severed in a freak accident, or if I get a splinter in my big toe, Post Acute Medical is where I'm going! As a Bishop and Doctor, I highly and wholeheartedly recommend these ladies and this facility... 5 STARS!!!

Top notch care.they said they would save my husband's foot and they did. We are extremely happy with the care and treatment he received. I would definitely recommend anyone to go there for wound care. We will miss them but so glad he doesn't have to go anymore.

What a blessing we have in Victoria. After having complications after surgery on my left foot , I requested a referral to PAM for wound care. They provided excellent care and the results speak for themselves! I was outpatient from June through August, receiving hyperbaric treatment, wound care and skin grafting. The staff was second to none! Caring, compassionate and continually educating me throughout the process. They turned a very bleak situation into a success story!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

If I could give no stars I would this place is absolutely horrendous. My husband is paralyzed and they leave him in his bed no attempts at physical therapy nothing to actually care for him. They did a Foley catheter because it was too inconvenient to do his straight catheter. They leave him ignored at the end of a hallway. The environment is dark and dingy. The parking is a whole other issue on its own. It takes 20/30 minutes for him to be attended to after pushing his call button. They shouldn’t be accepting patients who they aren’t equipped to care for

Absolutely horrible place I do not recommend sending your loved ones here. Before my dad passed we sent him there in hopes that they would take care of him and treat him well because he was very very ill to the point of needing 24/7 care. But, we were terribly wrong the rooms were absolutely disgusting and not being cleaned even the chairs had so much build up I had to deep clean them and the room. The bed they had him in as well was gross and sticky. I unfortunately had to do their job and clean his room everyday. I unfortunately had to also monitor his colostomy bag because they would let it get so full that when they would finally clean when i asked that it overflowed and spilled on the floor. I had help them clean it up because they left it for hours and took them and hour and a half just to get the bag in the first place after i asked them to remove the old filled one with a clean new one. The list goes on unfortunately. In his stay there he also got bed sores i would ask them to help move him often and put pillows under him so that he wouldn’t get bed sores and they never did. The hospital he was at before this was osu. Every hour or two like clockwork osu’s staff would turn him and put pillows under him so he wouldn’t. PAM failed to do this even when I asked especially when I would leave they slacked at taking care of him. I had to move him myself some so that he wouldn’t be uncomfortable. He was in the hospital for months unfortunately and later passed. I’m here 4 months later after his passing to share this because I don’t want this to happen to anyone again. My father didn’t deserve to be treated the way he was at PAM especially being a veteran that served for our country.

DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY MEMBER HERE!!
If I can give this place 0 or negative I would. This guy named James is a liar, and this lady Rose will not listen to you and dismiss you!
Was on hold for more than 20 minutes, since my brother didn't receive his dinner. This guy named James put us on hold and confirmed that the patient finished his dinner but did not record it, 2 CNAs couldnt remember what food was served or what the patient ate. Spoke with the visitor that was there and confirmed that there were no food.
This lady named Rose, who is the charge nurse after answering the phone told us (without listening what we have to say), that she just gave him a sandwich and some fruits. Mainly to shut us up..
Why did they lie to us and confirmed just to get us off the phone??? They didn't even apologize. If they lie on this little thing, makes me wonder what else they could be lying. This place needs to be closed down or need to replace all the incompetent staff.

My dad has been at PAM's for a little over 2 months and is set to transfer in the next few days. This facility is AMAZING, and my family and I are blessed to have had my dad here. He had a stroke after having a double bypass surgery with 2 valves replaced and was transferred to PAM's. This place is an absolute nightmare. One person stood out above the rest and that was Ronnie the CNA. Holly the chief of nursing is a joke and only gives false sense of security but she doesn’t follow through. Most of the nurses are nice, some of the CNAs are helpful. There is absolutely no communication with staff. When you bring up concerns they are brushed under the rug. If you ask a question no one has the answer and they point blame to the next. They bring people in here to die here. Illegal things happen in your loved ones rooms, and the so called chief of nursing is aware. If your loved one is a respiratory patient and on oxygen or a ventilator I suggest you move them to another hospital and fast. I highly suggest if you have family in this hospital you need to be there at all times and keep a close eye on everything they do. They don’t actually care about the patients or the families, they care about the money. Even the staff have made comments that it’s all about the money to this place. Absolute disgrace to the medical community and the sick patients who need actual care and kindness. Ronnie keep doing what you are doing, you are an absolute angel and do not let these people change you. We need more people like you in the world!

Im a true believer that we are all captains of our own ship. Life is what you make of it. However some circumstances are influenced by others. I was really worried when the doctors at Carolina East suggested that my brother who had been on a ventilator for 16 days and critically ill be transferred to PAM in Rocky Mt NC. Reading reviews only scared me more. However nothing there was working and he was slowly dying. After much prayer and research we ultimately made the best decision of his life. Only after 4 days he is eating and walking. A total miracle. When we first got here I was a little skeptic. Everything seemed old school and I wasn’t sure if I had made the right decision. But within hours I felt so comfortable confident and at ease. These people are so nice and caring. Like every hospital they have some that aren’t as good as others but for the most part we have not had a problem yet. The doctors and therapy teams are absolutely amazing. This is the first facility that encourages family members participation. They provide a place to sleep with your love one and meals all at no cost to the family.A shower and private bathroom was in our room for our convenience. During dinner time, we were offered dinner (which was delicious). His Second Floor nurses not only attended to his physical care but addressed his overall well-being too. This was instrumental at how fast he got better.
Thank y'all again for taking such good care of him.

Our loved one was at PAM in Sarasota for over a month in respiratory rehab. The entire team was excellent. They were professional and compassionate. The environment was clean and welcoming to visitors. By the time my parent was discharged we knew a lot of staff by name and had gotten to know some of the staff through their friendly conversation.
I understand that every person's experience in this type of setting will be different, but my family highly recommends this facility based on our shared experiences there.

A friend of mine recomended PAM hospital for my son who was in ICU for a week and needed an additional treatment and monitoring of his condition. From his admittion to his discharge, our experience at PAM was excellent. Staff members are professional, kind and caring. It was easy to obtain info and speak with my son's doctors, nurces and case workers. Everybody showed a great deal of concern for the well being of my son, and we both felt that he was safe and in good hands there. Everyone, without exception, was helpful and treated us with understanding, compassion and respect. In addition, my son's room was always clean and sanitised.
Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to your profession, patients and their families.

I was in a coma and on a ventilator due to Covid at Sarasota Memorial last year from January 2022 until the end of March. I was transferred to PAM, where I woke up and recovered for about a month. I felt very blessed to have those on the staff there taking care of me during that life-changing event. I have gone from deaths door and not being able to talk or walk to being fully functional and back at work for over a year now. Thanks again for doing a great job!

My daughter, Katherine, was in a severe car accident in our home state of Arkansas. She was airlifted to OCHSNER LSU and then after she was stable she was moved to PAM. She had a severe brain injur, both wrists were broken, her left knee messed up. She had a feedingtube and a traciautomy even though she could breathe on her own her oxygen levels had to be monitored. The staff was very kind compassionate to us. Constantly telling us not to give up hope. We were there from October of 2022 to January of 2023. I was able to stay with my daughter overnight. I can't possibly name everyone on staff that helped us. Cheri, was wonderful in helping getting all of my daughters paperwork for her transfer to TIRR in Houston. I didn't have to worry about filling out anything, she took care of everything. The physical therapists were wonderful. Even though she really couldn't do anything they worked her muscles just about every day. Julie, Jessica, & Betty y'all are just awesome. And the nurses and nurses aids. You ladies & gentleman have all my thanks and respect. Y'all helped me as much as you took care of Katherine. Wound care y'all were awesome. The doctors that came were kind and understanding. The respiratory ladies & gentleman were wonderful. The janitorial staff were excellent, her room was cleaned everyday . I just can't thank you all enough. Y'all explained things to us and I received a mini nursing education that helped on our next journey. We were in Houston till April of 2023. Now we are home and she is walking and talking. We are truly blessed with the care & kindness we received at this facility. I thank and love them all.

This place is HORRIBLE!!!! Half the nurses & staff are horrible & just there for a PAYCHECK not because they care and have a passion for what they do!!!!! My mother was at this facility and let me just say she's worse today than she was when she went in. Observed one nurse on fb, another watching a movie, and the other one texting on her phone. When did the state board of nursing start allowing these things to go on in a facility?? Room was dirty and half way cleaned!!!! Can't tell you how many times the call light was pressed and it took them 30-45 mins to come see what was going on. My mother fell twice out of the bed. Run if you are even considering this horrible place for your loved ones. I didn't even want to give them a 1 star because they deserve a negative !!!!!!!

This specialty hospital provides no privacy for patients in that there are cameras in all rooms. Add to that: patients' visiting families are treated in a way that might be similar to visiting a prisoner. The nurses are amazing they seem to really care but management needs to take some courses in public relations.

The girl at the Cup center gave me some WRONG information yesterday in a rather annoyed manner, as it is no longer possible to book visits and tests at the counter. So I queued for check-in, only to be told by a more knowledgeable colleague of his that for a week it has been necessary to book visits and tests by connecting to the Lombardy region's booking site or calling the toll-free number... terrible service!
I wonder, but is the Cup now only used to collect the ticket at the time of the visit to be carried out? You are also NHS, you generally go to hospital when the citizen is not well, he is not there to go for a walk, give an empathetic communication course to the employees who are at the CUP, it will be useful for them and for the citizens who go there , 90 percent elderly people.

The lack of communication on the part of some hospital employees, nurses and doctors led to a deep mistrust of the medical act. At the same time, the existence of infections in the hospital and the lack of knowledge of the minimum procedures in patient care led to the granting of this negative rating. The lack of empathy and the lack of understanding of the emotions that patients go through make me believe that the hospital employees are not properly trained to care for patients who are between life and death. For some hospital employees this job is like repairing a car or a broken fence, no difference.

Unfortunately, I'm not Italian. To be able to fly to Spain it is mandatory to present a certificate of a negative qPCR test that includes your name, your ID number and the date, in English. Apparently 92€ don't include printing the ID number, and they didn't print it even I insisted. Thank you so much.

My comment only concerns the space which serves as a cafeteria.... a long wait... in the cold!! Talk to you about it, we send you for a walk, I hear the security agent making fun of my request, and tells his colleague that he is under the air conditioning, ... in short, frozen radiator, when wait, and we eat in the cold, I can tell you that it is most unpleasant

SCANDALOUS!!! Where does our money go???
In an obscene parking rate, only one cash register at the end, puddles everywhere, a swimming pool (1 meter wide, 2 meters long and 10 centimeters deep) to get out and reach the ICL, and a Pyramid staircase Mayan slippery, because the totally necessary elevator for people with reduced mobility is BROKEN.

Operated by Dr. HEJL at the end of July, I have excellent memories of my brief visit to the 5th floor just after my operation. The nursing staff (and non-nursing staff) were adorable... I take my hat off to them for their work which is not easy every day. A little nod to this duo of caregivers with whom one morning we imitated the meows of the 😸 in front of the anesthetist! (I occupied room 502 until August 3)
Really thank you for your good care!
The meals were of high quality and appetizing (which is rather rare in hospitals).
I can say that in my case the support was perfect.
