Extremely disrespectful nurse, talking loud where I am able to hear what she is saying, and I can hear the patient or family member telling her to calm down. Instead she was more concerned about being right as opposed to provide empathy, care and concentrating on the wellbeing of the patient. What I witnessed in the lobby on Sunday November 26th, made me embarrassed and uncomfortable and hope that my family is not seen by this nurse. She is a bully and knows she can get away with it. Slamming the door on a patient’s family, makes me sick to my stomach. Not listening to a patient in distress, is lacking skills as a nurse. I will report this with the department of health in France.

We had a really positive experience with this hospital. As Australians visiting who don’t speak French, I needed a bit of a guarantee to find a hospital where they could speak English. We’d been to another hospital and unfortunately the treatment didn’t help my husbands condition. He was seen quite promptly by a Dr and then a Specialist at the American Hospital and was provided with medication which thankfully started assisting. I think we were in and out within a couple of hours and the cost was surprisingly low that there’s not really any need to claim it back on insurance. I’m glad we found this hospital as we may have needed to cut our holiday short and fly home. Big thank you to all the staff there.

Thanks to the American hospital we obtained a speedy appointment for my mother. Top geriatric specialist, friendly staff. Some reviewers should go to some - not all - public hospitals .Lovely service, charming receptionists. Our specialist was flexible with appointment time despite us being delayed by transport. It is a bit costly but doctors do take time. Some very specific scans were covered by the French Social Security scheme though. I don’t know all departments but twice we had premium service and care. And finally, my mother was diagnosed accurately and treatment was put in place. With very elderly and incapacitated patients free wheelchairs are available. Porters and valet service staff are helpful. This makes a huge difference on arrival by medical taxi. No hospital is perfect and one is bound to encounter below par staff. And yes, France has a general shortage of medical staff, private or public… Eric Levéel

My mother became ill while we were traveling in Italy. Our tour guide sent us to Salvatore Mundi where my mother received excellent care. Y the staff, nurses and doctor. They took care of her right away and the costs of tests, medicine and a private room on a virtually private floor cost a mere $16! Wish we had that type of care and cost here in the States.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DO NOT COME HERE.
I had a terrible experience at SMIH. I thought that I would be in good care as the embassy and my university recommend them as the best place to go while abroad in Rome. I had little to no translators the entire time and was very confused as to what I was being given and uncomfortable about it in all honesty. I have NO privacy at all in my room as nurses would come barging in whenever they needed to without a knock which was also very uncomfortable to me. They did not accommodate to me and I had to practically beg for water and help as my fever started to rise. They were also not helpful when I called translators to help me during the process. The nurses were very vague and rude. I used the best Italian I could and would use google translate to help me with the rest and it still unfortunately not good enough. I was fortunate enough to find a Spanish speaking nurse and it was the first time I had some form of comfort. The main doctor seeing me only saw me once and it was an u pleasant visit as it was just to scold me for wanting to leave. Then when I finally was able to be discharged the nurses and staff were rude, did not give me my diagnosis, my results, follow up or discharge papers. They literally told me “no go home”. Already being frustrated with the treatment I received, alone and confused being in a completely different country trying to revive help I did as they said and just left. Which then later caused me a lot of issues when trying to revive help else where.

What a fantastic ER and 1st floor ICU staff. We cannot thank them enough for the care they provided to their patients and address the patients' family's concern. My 80 years old dad that was brought to the ER from another facility in a critical condition and Dr. Mole from the ER provided great care and took the time to call us to give updates. When my dad was shift to the ICU under Dr. Tiu's care she was very easy to talk to. She called us daily to report on my dad's health status. We are so grateful to the doctors, nurses for the amazing care they provide their patients especially given the pandemic. They listen to the families concerns, suggestions when we advocate for our dear ones. They work as a team with the family to help the patient. Thank you for your hard work, dedication and care.

I was very disappointed with the doctor, instead of curing me and solving my problems, he only referred me to treatments that I didn’t need at all.
Thanks to the wasted time, my illness worsened.
I am very sorry that I did not turn to specialists.
I was booked in for a remote consultation where a doctor with 21 years of experience made a diagnosis and told me about the limitations.
When asked what limitations I have, she didn’t even answer, saying that the diagnosis was not made accurately.
People should not go to this clinic under any circumstances; they will make you worse instead of curing you.

I would like to express my gratitude to the entire ophthalmology department of the State Institution RCMC. Namely, doctor Irina Arkadyevna Puchkova, Lyudmila Leontyevna Kaplich and all the medical staff.
Ya, Gorbachevskaya M.E. 06/27/2023 I had surgery to replace my lens.
All the medical staff are handpicked. Friendly and polite people.
Lyudmila Leontyevna is a doctor from God. I was so excited! But thanks to the attention of the girls nurses, thanks to the confidence and calmness of the anesthesiologist and microsurgeon (Kaplich L.L.), my excitement simply dissolved.
The operation went smoothly, clearly, in a word, professionally!
The whole team is top notch. Fantastic job!

Electronic queue. Comfortable corners for waiting and relaxing. Information stands with indication of specializations and layout of offices. There were no queues during the daytime. I was satisfied with the visit. Called according to appointment time. Gave professional advice and treatment. Received competent answers to all my questions. I usually have a hard time sleeping in an unfamiliar place, but the hospital bed was surprisingly soft and comfortable and the nurses gave me something at night so I actually ended up getting the best sleep in years. Came to Notaufnahme with racing heart, palpitations and chest pains with breathing issues. I wasnt sure whether it was serious enough considering how full the hospital was and i felt embarrassed to go. Nevertheless, i was treated warmly and respectfully during my long and expected wait (its an emergency room people, chances are someone is going to be sicker and more needing of help than you!) . The staff were under pressure with so many sick people and i was happy to wait. They found me room to stay overnight as the Cardiac Unit was full, and still i was treated respectfully and with dignity. I too am a foreigner, with questionable German skills but i try and found no racism as other have said. Im now in the cardiac ward and grateful that im being cared for. Still! Thankyou to lovely Notaufnahme Doctor, the Cardiac team, the nurses at 2A and also now up in 6B. Everyone has a sense of humour and are so friendly! I recommend this hospital 100% you are in good hands! Chill!

She can’t even eat on her own, a year has passed.
Why give false hope? So that people don't go to court?

Worst experience ever. Had glass in my foot the doctor spent 5 hours dealing with me ,she cut my foot so badly and she could not finish the job. In parallel people kept being distracted the whole time and this work requires a bit of silence and concentration. The hospital is cold, there is wifi but does not work and my friend waited 5 hours with me and due to the fact it is unbearable temperature she got t a cold too. Also the doctor sent me with a note saying I decided to leave and she did not finish the job, no one was skilled to help her. I was not going to stay so she could continue to cut my foot with a scalpel and not find the glass. You can see the bad job.

Opinion on private family natural birth. Premium package.
It was my second birth. The first one was at Medeor Hospital in Łódź, which I remember much better even though I didn't pay for it. There I experienced warmth, respect and understanding that was often lacking here.
I went to the hospital after 6 hours of painful contractions with severe pain. I was seen by a doctor who from the very beginning called me "you", treating me with contempt. I don't remember his name, but I think he introduced himself as Marek (I think it was Dr. Marek Korożan, but I could be wrong because 2 years have passed since the birth). Based on the CTG results, he said that I was not giving birth at all, but since I had already come from far away, I should go to the antenatal room and go to sleep, and that I would definitely not give birth in the near future. At the very beginning, I felt like an intruder and a bother of four letters.
I spent several hours in the room with my husband - of course, not sleeping and fighting contractions. After a few hours, a midwife (Ms. Joanna Miłosz) came and asked if I should be examined. I agreed. It turned out that I was 6 cm dilated and they asked if I should give anesthesia. I remember the midwife fondly. The anesthesiologist was also very nice and tried to relax the atmosphere while administering anesthesia. Morning came and with it a change of staff. Another gynecologist was very cold and unpleasant. When the anesthesia was removed and I started to complain about my statement that it hurts, I heard that I had pain when I was lying under anesthesia, and now it doesn't hurt at all, so I shouldn't say that because it's not true :-) Childbirth after anesthesia lying down despite my willingness and strength to give birth in a vertical position. While pushing, I heard some sarcastic and embarrassing comments from this lady (I unfortunately didn't remember her name). I felt very uncomfortable. Even on the National Health Fund, I have never been treated so disrespectfully and unpleasantly.
When complications occurred, fortunately Dr. Chmyłko and Dr. Wnuk came and alleviated the unpleasant atmosphere. The birth was difficult and had complications, but thanks to them I felt cared for and safe at that moment.
I also remember the doctor fondly. med. Anna Lew-Tusk - a neonatologist who took great care of our daughter when it turned out that her test results were not good.
Postpartum care was generally okay, but despite my high temperature (infection) and the baby crying all night, I was not offered to take the baby so I could rest.
Despite the completed birth plan and my clear objection to it, an injection of vitamin K was administered, later claiming it was by mistake.
Other objective facts: comfortable beds, nice maternity room, good food. Due to complications for me and my daughter, we stayed in the ward a few days longer and I did not pay anything extra for this.
My memories of giving birth are rather unpleasant. I paid for a private birth to avoid unpleasant situations and give birth in harmony with myself - my expectations were definitely not met. I wouldn't choose to give birth at Swissmed again.

I then waited two years for an operation. After the operation, I did not receive any information about the course of the successful operation, its success, nothing that a patient could expect from his doctor. In addition, the one who operated
he took me under his care for the third time, this also shows that I have the utmost confidence in him as his patient. However, I'm sorry that the doctor didn't have enough humanity to even ask if everything was okay after the operation. I understand that we only want a piece of meat at the slaughterhouse, but I don't like it.
I had no problems with the nurses. They do their job as best they can.
That's why I was lucky with other doctors here, who do excellent work, and a bit of humanity was squeezed into them, which, let's face it, doesn't hurt if you have it, it's half a cure for the patient.
Unquestionably, I trusted him to the fullest.

I have never met such indifference as in this clinic. My wife and I went to this clinic because my wife had palpitations (heart ritme failure) several times in the night and in the morning. She wanted to see a docter for a checkup. We went to the Davinci Clinic in Pecs. At the reception three women were talking. One of them sat behind a computerscreen. Although we said hello in Hungarian, they took no notice of us. After a few minutes the woman behind the screen turnen to us and asked what we wanted. I asked her if she understood English. Yes, she said. We told her the problem, but I had to translate the word "heart" in Hungarian (Szív) for her first. Then she looked at the screen for a while without saying anything or asking anything and said: "You can get an appointment next week". I was stunned and said: "My wife has a problem with her heart!" She didn't respond, looked back at her screen and said, "You can get an appointment next week." We went never to go back there again. Typical example of "Computer says NO"

A neuroma formed at the suture of the ulnar nerve after neuroplasty, which caused pain in the fingers. Terrible service. They have closed the permanent customer service, admission for appointments from 4pm onwards has to be done at the counter on floor 0 because the counters on the other floors are already closed, which greatly increases the waiting time. Even though I've been coming to this hospital since it opened and I live a 5-minute walk away, I prefer to look for another hospital.

Dr. Joana Rocha Pauletta was extremely rude, condescending and impatient. I waited 30 minutes although I had an appointment, and she seemed to be agitated from the moment I sat down.
I made an appointment with her specifically because her profile said she speaks English. So I waited two months to see her. But when I got in the appointment she continued to not only chastise me for not speaking fluent Portuguese but she was very condescending and rude about it. She continued to communicate with me in Portuguese and then would get frustrated when I didn’t understand. Again, her profile lists English as one of her languages , yet she refused to communicate in English. I had several concerns that I needed addressed regarding perimenopause and her response to each concern was that I needed to see a general doctor.
Additionally their website has an entire page about communication with international patients which makes her behavior and disposition all the more perplexing. Medical Tourism is when people travel for medical procedures, in which case, tourists are not expected to speak the language of the country they travel to.
This was a Horrible horrible experience. If she does not want to deal with native English speakers she needs to remove it from her profile.

I feel robbed. I spoke on Instagram with Dr Paulo Morais (dermatology) about removing a mole in which I sent a photo of it. What did Dr. He told me what it was and that he removed it easily in 15 minutes in a consultation. However, on arrival at the Hospital Clínica da Luz in Amarante, they charged €75 before the consultation. I entered the office Dr Paulo Morais saw the sign again and said he would have to pay €270 to remove it. In other words, I had not mentioned this before, not having gone there prepared, I did not carry out the procedure and I still ran out of €75 in 5 minutes to leave to find out the same and I lost a morning of work. 😔😪 The situation is regrettable, Dr. Paulo Morais deceived me well.

Review of previous review for the reasons I will describe, although I chose to maintain some aspects.
Private clinic where many quality professionals work, however the entire management of this hospital seems to be based solely on traditional, and very clear, objectives: profit!
An institution of this nature must, in my humble opinion, regulate its procedures by ethics, above all.
But that does not always happen.
I do not accept scheduling a surgery with a stipulated price, in prior consultation, and being presented with a bill that ends up being more than double that amount. I paid, it's true, because I didn't take anything that could prove what I'm saying here, even though I had a document at home whose code differs from the one presented to me on the invoice.
But the worst part was how quickly the mini-surgery took place. I ended up not extracting all the "signs" (or warts, which is what they are) planned for extraction, thus maintaining a greater risk of spread. Furthermore, he planned to carry out the action through cryotherapy, and not through scraping, which involved a lot of blood loss, marks everywhere, the impossibility of leaving and other constraints. This was not told to me in the preliminary consultation.
The way in which we are "deceived", because, in my opinion, that is what it is all about, always begins with an initial consultation, which is long and during which sympathy hides the intention of the true final charge, which, in my opinion, does not take place of the doctor's will, but of the objectives to which workers are currently subject.
Here I leave my honest opinion, with the intention that anyone who has a few seconds to read it does not fall into the same "trap". Requiring clear documents, budgets, for example, that stipulate final prices, is fundamental and ends up corresponding to a right enjoyed by users. That cannot be neglected!
PS: Oh, and the date set for surgery cannot correspond to an appointment, let's face it! We should be careful, because if we refuse to accept paying for a consultation on that day, the final price will probably reflect this disagreement, due to some other excuse...

The Bergonié Institute is truly at the top on all levels. A wonderful organization, which allowed me not to stress about making appointments. These are grouped together on the same day given the distance from my home. Every department I have been to I have met caring, smiling, gentle and professional staff and let's not forget to say very competent.

Unfriendly nurses. Incompetent doctors.

Totally thrilled and equally disappointed at the same time. From the surgical team, preparation, operation and recovery room as well as the care on ward 3 B, everything was great 👍. I wouldn't be here today after 9 days without these helpful people. Thanks especially to Dr. Hessler who operated on my lumbar spine. I was very disappointed 1. that there was no physiotherapy in the house that would have mobilized me a little better. And 2. and I personally find this the worst: I had to fill out and sign a lot of forms so that everything was done for the AHB when it came to discharge management. Unfortunately everyone was sick and no one cared. Anyone can get sick, but then the work that has been left behind has to be caught up on. The patient relies on it. If I hadn't asked by phone today, I would have waited a very long time. And then I received a statement that couldn't be true. You are no longer a patient here, you must contact your treating doctor. I immediately called the health insurance company; completely wrong statement. The application can be submitted until the time for AHB is over. The discharge management was instructed by me to take care of this through my numerous signatures, regardless of whether I was still in the hospital or not.
Very bad management.

Very quiet and in nature, which is a clear plus point for the location. A lot more care could be taken in the green area. Some of the staff are extremely friendly and you feel very welcome and comfortable. On the other hand, you also feel like a number or object that needs to be repaired quickly and disappear as quickly as possible. Everyone should be able to have a smile and a touch of friendliness. From the preparation in the hospital room to the immediate preparation for the operation with anesthesia to waking up after the operation, everything was very exemplary, so I felt very well taken care of. Unfortunately, in the hospital room you noticed that the next patients were waiting and you had to put your shoes on as quickly as possible and it was best to run away. The explanation for further independent treatment was like an attack for me. The light came on early, people asked for names, ran their fingers along my leg to see if I could feel everything and then, without checking whether the seams were ok, I said “then you can go home now”! There was still blood in one spot, which was then taped up and they said, now they can go home. In addition, they have never had anything to do with such tablets/medications, injections and changing bandages, explained quickly and they can handle it. When I asked again, I responded with annoyance, as if I had to know. Ultimately it's not rocket science, but with so much information after waking up, it's a challenge. The operation and doctor were great and the handling was a bit of a flop.
