I usually don’t write reviews - if I have bad experience with something I usually just move on with my life. However, once you deal with medical emergencies it’s a different story. We usually go to either Scripps at Torrey Pines or Scripps Mercy and have always been treated with kindness and respect. This time we ended up at Scripps La Jolla Emergency Room - big mistake! We came here for an emergency with my wife. We literally just experienced a major loss in hour lives and my wife’s Dad also got diagnosed with advanced cancer. In other words we’re dealing with a lot right now and the last thing we need is being treated like garbage by some nurse (unfortunately I don’t have her name) who just has a major attitude problem. No formal greeting or welcome, just snappy, disgusting attitude towards people who come to this hospital for help. The rudeness continued once we were about to be checked in. Unbelievable snappiness and attitude. And yes I did call her out on it which I assume no one has ever done before. Anyways, after this encounter I took my wife to another emergency room because it is unacceptable to treat emergencies like that. We’re paying a lot of money for our health insurance and being treated like some worthless… is just not acceptable. It’s not acceptable anywhere but specifically not in the medical field. I am so disappointed in Scripps and am now considering to take our business elsewhere. I will also file an official grievance as well.

I had my first surgery experience here and I am so grateful I had it with these amazing people. I had a complication with my pregnancy and needed surgery. I was faced with the most difficult decision and these amazing people guided me and took care of me when I was most vulnerable. They showed me so much compassion and kindness. The nurses at labor and delivery department were heaven sent.
Laura, made sure that I was understanding everything that was to be done to me and even asked questions for me when I couldn’t even think for myself. She made sure I understood the procedures and the risks that come with them.
Julie, was the most patient and understanding. She took care of me when I was healing and trying to recover. She was there for me when I was unsure what’s about to happen to me after the surgery. She gave me peace and reassurance that everything was going well and all that I’m experiencing is normal and even shared her own experience. She was so gentle and knew how to make me feel comfortable. Julie was like a mom to me and really took care of me as if I was family.
Courtney, was new in the labor and delivery department but felt like she’s been doing it for forever. Courtney was the one that took care of me during the surgery. She was there with me every step of the way. During the worst time when I was feeling the most pain.. I held her hand and cried on her shoulders like a little kid. I was so drugged up with the anesthesia and was so scared and everything I was feeling was my first time but she was there with me and I can honestly say that during that time she gave me strength. Just her being with me gave me so much relief during one of the most difficult and scariest time of my life.
Also Dr. Starikov was amazing. He’s very direct to the point and straight forward and he makes sure that you understand everything. He uses simple words and even draws you pictures to make sure that you know what he’s talking about and you don’t get lost in medical vocabulary. He guided me through my decision making with his knowledge and experience. He’s a little scary at first but once you get to talk to him a couple of times, he even jokes around. You could really feel how much he cares and wants the best for you.
I am very thankful for the wonderful experience that Scripps’ staff gave me. I’ve always had the highest respect for our medical professionals but when they really go above and beyond, thats what separates them from just being professional to actual heroes.

This what I get to eat at breakfast. Just had open heart surgery and I am diabetic. Cafe simply doesn’t answer ph. Funny on hold message , receiving high numbers of call”. This is a lie. Scripps doesn’t sell to general public.
Great hospital but very poor chef and his team.
I called multiple times and stayed on hold for 45 min , 10 min, and 30 min. Lost the energy and hung up. May be it’s a way to save money to starve patients and not give them food.

The Cleveland Clinic does not verify insurance as they should before booking an appointment. I have stellar insurance that pays 100% of physical therapy appointments, however, it’s with a third party insurance company. I made an appointment with the clinic, which by the way was not worth my time, only to be left with a nearly $700 bill since they don’t accept my insurance. I was given false information and the billing department wouldn’t even submit the bill to the proper insurance company so I could appeal. After years of being a dedicated patient, it’s time to move on to a more competent facility.

For the past 2 and 1/2 years, my mom has been in and out of the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. They talk about being a world-class hospital, but if you are Black and come from a modest economic background, you don't get world class treatment. The Cleveland Clinic's main campus is one of the worst hospitals in the country. They treat Black people like peasants. Many of their nurses lack diversity, equity, and inclusion training. And they don't care about the well-being of patients, particularly on floor G9. Be careful! There are some good stuff but lot more bad staff

My husband, who has had a prior stroke, presented stroke symptoms (FAST) that include aphasia (poor speech) and was taken to the ER via ambulance and I followed in my own car. Jarret, the security guard refused to allow me back in the ER. “Wait 10 minutes”. I told him the situation, telling him I had my husband’s POA, adding that in addition to past stroke, my husband had stents, implants that I needed to make sure the ER staff were aware. He called back to the ER and literally said, “there’s a ‘Visitor’ here that wants to come back”. He hung up and again told me, “Wait 10 minutes”, while chewing his Snickers bar! After finally allowing me back to be with my husband, we waited almost 3 hours, without seeing a nurse or doctor, despite my continued efforts to tell the nurses that this was a potential stroke and that detection (CT/MRI) could be instrumental. Lazy. Foul language. Disparaging remarks about patients. From the nurses! Horrible! I have never seen such blatant behavior from supposed nurses. And they were not busy. Run from this hospital! Run!

I arrived at the ER at 9:30 pm and was admitted overnight with a heart issue. I found the nursing staff and doctor to be competent but needed to be more engaged. The medical care I received was focused on meeting the minimal standard of care with nothing extra provided. No one is performing their jobs beyond the minimum requirements. The staff is disgruntled, and the working environment seems to be toxic. From body language and attitude, the people working there are not happy to be there.
The ER could use a good cleaning; attending to water, emptying the urine jug, and checking in on me needed to be improved. Medical packaging was left on the counter and bedside table. The nursing assistant emptied my urine jug in the sink rather than walking across the hall and dumping it in the toilet. My water cup was always left on the table just out of my reach.
Once I was stabilized and hooked up to the machines and IV. If I pressed the call button, it seemed inconvenient for them to answer my call.
The care I received once admitted and moved to a room was better, but the care I received was only meeting minimum standards of care. There is little attention paid to patient comfort and personal needs. If you want to see a staff person between required visits for medication and vitals, you have to press the call button.
Why did they paint everything white? It could be more institutional and less inviting in there.
Things at the hospital were much better before the Cleveland Clinic took over. It's sad and disappointing that a world-class healthcare company can perform so poorly. We were promised and expected more.

If you have the opportunity, go anywhere else! I have never in my life dealt with staff that has been so uncaring and inattentive. I understanding being short-staffed and being spread thin. What I don't understand is the fact that EVERY SINGLE person we have dealt with here has been rude and had an attitude. Every patient here is sick or hurt and the last thing they need is a bunch of overgrown little girls with attitude in there face and being paid to not take care of them. It's very disheartening to think I can't go to the hospital and get the care I need without having someone be rude to me everyone second. I have never experienced anything like this and if I need to come to an ER in the future I will make sure to come anywhere but here.

The ER front desk staff who checked me in (I wish I knew their names) were so compassionate and got me checked in quickly. I was taken straight back and was sent up to OB. The doctor was really nice and thorough, the ultrasound tech Brandy was very sweet and professional. My nurse Sarah was the best! She was so sweet and took excellent care of me. I wish all hospitals and nursing staff would use this one for a template. They surpass expectations in every way. $647,302,833 that's what matters to this hospital. Money is what matters. I have been a patient with the Clinic for 18 months and they've done nothing for me. They never even attempted to help me get my hypertension under control. Been in the ER 5 times since October of 2021 never one concern about my concern which is my hypertension.
If you are having chest pain, palpitations, sweating, nausea, do you not think something could be wrong with your heart?
Tonight my BP is 150/78. After being a patient since October of 2021 does that sound like my health is important. Do I deserve to keep suffering with chest pain? Do I deserve to be gaslighted by doctors who don't listen to my concerns?
I thought this hospital was head and shoulders above others here in Central Arkansas but all I see that matters is the 647,000,000...
I'm in bed writing this review hurting, scared, and feel like I never really mattered to any person at AHH.

You have to pay in advance. People were very friendly and helpful! Appointment costs about 80 dollars, other things on demand. you can pay by credit card easily. i highly recommend the clinic.

I performed a bilateral mastectomy at BP Mirante in September/2022. I've Googled the reviews here before and got a little apprehensive due to some negative reviews. The truth is that there will be good experiences and others not so much, even because there are many boring people in the world too =p.
My experience was incredible! Unlike other people, we were sent (me and my accompanying brother) to a room until my surgery was released and I can report the excellent structure, I loved the balcony in my room

My sister-in-law has CELIAC DISEASE underwent a procedure with anesthesia and had to fast for 8 hours + 1 hour delay in the exam + 1 hour and 15 minutes of procedure + 2 hours of observation. Ie,
when she returned, she needed to eat to our surprise the Hospital HAD NOTHING TO OFFER GLUTEN-FREE FOR CELIACONS. They only gave her a hot apple maguary juice (awful) she made her sick from the procedure, it got worse. The nurses and staff did not even know about the disease and the food restriction related to Celiac Disease (which is not their fault) but the hospital did not train and guide the staff. Absurd!!!
They said that the restaurant was outsourced, that is, trying to pass the problem on.
The restaurant is INSIDE the hospital dependencies as the ONLY OPTION.
And there is also NOTHING WITHOUT GLUTEN FOR THOSE WHO HAVE CELIAC DISEASE.
Where the food has to be prepared in a place EXCLUSIVELY FOR CELIACS, or acquired by exclusive suppliers. As in Fleury, for example, to NOT HAVE CROSS CONTAMINATION with foods with gluten.
The contempt for the fact was when they came to tell me that the restaurant had scrambled eggs.
Eggs don't have GLUTEN, but the utensils and the kitchen HAVE A LOT. In other words, putting the health of the sister-in-law at risk within the hospital itself.
And again if the restaurant they allow within the hospital space does not have food suitable for Celiacs. The responsibility is in any case ENTIRELY WITH THE HOSPITAL.

Excellent hospital, organized, clean, impeccable service. Super modern structure, well lit and with totems (you have help if you need it). Great doctors and health staff, all very polite and very professional. I never had a problem with waiting, from the exam area to the scheduled appointment. Cafeterias, both with many options and whimsical meals!

The exam service is terrible. I scheduled 3 times, the 3 times I had an error or absence in the procedure by the hospital. One day the correct protocol was not passed. Another day the professional was absent. On the third day, the exam was rescheduled in half, and I almost lost an entire afternoon of work waiting for them to resolve the situation. The doctor even accepted the fitting of the missing exam only if I "remained available at the hospital". Very disrespectful and inconsiderate of customers!

This review is not for the hospital's medical and nursing staff, which, at least in my experience, were great. All very attentive and available.
The administrative part that was shameful. I had an elective surgery scheduled for more than 15 days, which was canceled less than 24 hours in advance due to lack of equipment. The hospital rents this equipment from third parties, and no one has confirmed its availability for the date. A whole agenda of the medical team and mine had to be redone to find a new date. Also, the hospital didn't even bother to contact me to apologize for what happened.
Another criticism is about communication. The companions are completely without information about which room you went to, when you can visit and etc. The only way is to ask different people several times and hope that someone finds you.
If management reads the comments, please hire a production engineer. Your internal processes clearly need improvement.

I took my fiancée to the service and, after 2 hours seeing other patients in the same priority level being called before, the receptionist said that the time is “up to 240 minutes”. “Urgencia” doesn’t move with much urgency. I’m currently in the waiting room in the respiratory area of the emergency department. My mother in law arrived in bad condition and I saw no sign of triage or prioritization based on symptoms , first come first served.
NONE of the alcohol hand dispensers have alcohol, staff aren’t using alcohol gel. Not just in the emergency area but also in the other buildings I passed through.
Very surprised by the experience considering the cost and reputation of the hospital. Go to Clinica San Carlos de Apoquindo UC or Clínica Alemán.

At these high prices I would recommend travelling to another country with better medical care and attention. I went with stomach ache. Underwent numerous tests and diagnostics. All staff very friendly and knowledgeable. After spending 13 hours in the hospital without any food or drink I asked to see the doctor to sign my exit papers. He recommended to stay the night and offered some food but I did not trust the 8th promise to receive some food. I will end up paying roughly 7000 USD for two abdominal scans and a receipt for aspirin. I left with equal stomach ache, high blood pressure and terrible headache due to the starvation.

Very busy hospital. What did I notice
...they are organized, staff you see in the hallways willing to point you in the right direction with a smile. You must wear a paper mask at all times (no cloth masks allowed).
Imaging centre for x-rays was very busy, but names are called and the line was moving. Expect to wait 30 minutes. I liked the chairs that have plexiglass between them, such a great idea and made me feel very comfortable while I waited.
They have Tim Hortons at the main coxwell entrance and a pharasave for prescriptions.
Taxi stand just outside the main entrance waiting to take you home.
Excellent Hospital and caring kind staff here.

Michael Garron Hospital, formerly Toronto East General Hospital founded in 1929 and located in the East of Toronto in Ontario, has been proudly serving the community of East Toronto since 1929. Over the years the hospital has continued renewing its commitment and version and today Michael Garron Hospital is a full-service and large community teaching hospital with over 500 beds, and providing comprehensive patient care to a diverse population of more than 400,000 people living in its corresponding area! As a community teaching hospital, MGH is affiliated with the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, the University of Toronto Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing and other educational institutions. MGH is a designated Paediatric Centre for south-east Toronto for maternal, newborn and paediatric care and a partner hospital in the Child Health Network of the Greater Toronto area. Approximately 3,500 babies are delivered annually at the hospital's Maternal Newborn and Child Health Centre! Although the patient waiting time and some other staff training are needed to be addressed and improved, thankfully, MGH has been working very hard with the provincial government to provide the best patient care for the people they care about as they could! today (Feb 14, 5pm) was my first visit to this ER room and it was very much better than the Grand River's. The nurses all seemed to be in a better mood and the young ER doctor was quite understanding and kind. The wait time was less than half of that of Grand river.
Things I thought that could be improved though were how the young worker at the entrance of the ER room was just sitting there and staring at people who came into the room and selectively offering guidance. She didn't greet nor guide people as they came in but offered help only if one seemed completely lost. I thought she needed to be more proactive. Also, I didn't like how we had to speak of our personal information (address, phone number and medical info) in front of all the other patients in the living room. Lastly the initial waiting area were quite loud and hectic with hospital personnel walking into and through the area. Some were talking casual things very loudly as if the waiting patients didn't exist. One worker came with a buggy with her baby without a uniform and just went in and out of the triage nurse area like it's her living room.. Beside these minor things the visit was excellent and I appreciate the people who made it the way it is. Will come again, thank you!

Amazing ED and medical imaging staff. Took my son to have his hand injury checked out today, and everything from arrival to triage, registration, physician assessment, and X-ray took less than an hour. Everyone was kind and pleasant. Results took a bit longer which is understandable, but with the cast application and the nurse going over discharge instructions, we were out of there in less than three hours total. Excellent care and experience.

I'm impressed with everyone who works at St. Mary. Looks like it's a very good workplace. From the security guards and intake to nurses and doctors, everyone is kind, polite, and professional. I received great care and am thankful to all staff. Great teams! Unfortunatelly, I had to go there several times lately. They do all tests quickly and answer to all questions in language I understand, as non-medical person. 5 out of 5 stars. Other hospitals should go there to observe and learn how it's done.

I arrived at the emergency and they took advantage of my situation to make a profit. I was not informed or consulted about the services or the details of the treatment. I received several medicines in a vein without knowing until today what they were and only after that, when I was already sedated, several employees came and tried to coerce me and force me to make a transfer of 35 thousand reais, without giving more details and without answering my doubts about this random value. It was an extreme lack of professionalism, which I had not experienced at any other hospital before. There are other excellent private hospitals in Brasilia. In this one I wouldn't go back at all.

I will not return to this hospital anymore. They pass information that they don't comply with, they don't deliver exams on time, and they leave you in the lurch with the result. I had an MRI exam, I was bedridden 3 days later and even though I tried to contact the hospital, they had no commitment to provide the results. Terrible!!

Try making an appointment over the phone! Impossible! No matter the time, the attendants are always busy. You hang on to the call, as if you were in line at a public hospital. Then, call the ombudsman, who gives you two options: the hospital will contact you to schedule the appointment (the famous queue jumper) or wait for the management response in 4 days. Summary: if it is not an emergency, look for another hospital.

Terrible experience. I tested positive for COVID three days ago, and began Paxlovid and fever reducers immediately. After three days, I am still having symptoms and testing positive.
I called the ambulance to bring me to the hospital. My oxygen was 81 (after a dexamethasone injection and tablet today). The paramedic gave me oxygen right away in the ambulance.
The doctor was useless. He refused to prescribe remdesivir. In nonhospitalized patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 who are at high risk of progressing to severe disease, remdesivir should be started within 7 days of symptom onset and administered for 3 days. The doctors name was Dr. Diego Lecona.
I showed proof of my asthma and low oxygen saturation from prior attacks. He did nothing to help me and didn’t give me the medicine. All he did was charge me over $300 for a useless consult. Never again

Unfortunately I became quite I’ll on a recent trip to Mexico City. The physician on call for the hotel direct me to this hospital. My care in ER was efficient, caring and appropriate. Lilliana and Mezil in Er were so caring and great communicators. I was admitted and again impressed with the care of the team. Very professional and respectful. When called received prompt response. My physician, Dr Jessica was knowledgeable, great personality and did follow thru with communication upon my return home. Highly recommend and hope in US we can rid our staff of the EMR demands that take them away from the bedside. Perhaps then we can be as attentive as the team in this hospital. Thank you to the nurses, housekeeping and residents as well!

The doctor I worked with was professional, but the setup of the hospital is horrendous. I had arranged to have a test, which was then cancelled without telling me and they rearranged the test was almost 3 times the price. I also had to collect my own results, which were also not sent to the consultant. How can a hospital claiming to be the best in Mexico and not share the results with your consultant? The only test I was given results to was my blood test.

The international clients WhatsApp line is the worst I have experienced within the business in Medellin. I was trying to get an appointment for an MRI and responses were just like automatic system that left you for hours with no responses. If you call nobody answers. When finally someone responds your multiple messages, leaves again with no answers. I never expected such a poor service from such a reputable institution. I started around 10:00 AM and at 2:48 PM still wasn't able to get any availability for the appointment. I told them never mind and they respond to that message at 5:35 PM! I understand if the people is to busy, but so that means they need to hire more people for the job.
